Athelas Concert 2019: Arnold Schoenberg 4 lieder Opus 2

Every now and then Athelas Sinfonietta has the pleasure of playing with the best artists in music today. At tjhis concert, celebrating Hans Abrahamsen as he received the big danish "Leonie Sonnings Musikpris", the one and only Barbara Hannigan took part in the celebration by singing 4 songs by Schoenberg in an arrangement by Hans Abrahamsen. Barbara Hannigan received the Musikprize in 2020.
This arrangement is a fine example of what Hans Abrahamsen has done in times when he was not publishing new works of his own. He then blew new life into existing works.
