This MV in reality is really dark, because the tomatoes or strawberries represent the blood and the fact that they throw them at each other represents that they hurt each other. Moreover, you can see beomgyu cover taehyun with a blanket and there is red light, it's mean that beomgyu is killing taehyun. You can see it too, when Yeonjun look at his hands, completely red and the members just staring at him cover of blood too. Basically the MV represent friends who are in pain because they hurt each other and they ask to be saved, cause they can't understand each other anymore.

just a theory. everybody thought yeonjun was the bad guy because of the past mv's where he looked sketchy and his concept photo said "guilty", they did that to confuse us because actually the bad guy here is beomgyu. he is trying to silence taehyun by suffocating him to death with the pillow because taehyun knows something and taehyun has the tag " suspicious " on his concept photo, which means maybe he already caught on what is happening is suspicious of beomgyu and yeonjun was covering up for beomgyu thats why everybody thought it was him. yeonjun said " shh " to the camera after the scene of beomgyu suffocating taehyun was shown. yeonjun is telling us to keep quiet and don't tell it to the other members. it was all a trick thats why yeonjun has "guilty" on the concept photo because he has been keeping it a secret from soobin and the other members.
There are so many theories that say differently but I agreed with this initially if you connect to Magic Island. In the MV for Magic Island Beomgyu was the one who caused the fire (I think it looked purposeful as well) and at the MV it says something along the lines of “the boys are left wondering who caused the fire” and the MV showed it was Beomgyu. That’s why I think Beomgyu is the perpetrator in this story and Yeonjun is getting misunderstood. The members are the one usually trying to stop his fires causing them to blame Yeonjun in the end. Hope this makes sense, it’s really hard to explain 😂
Edit: I was watching bookish theories to help fill in missing pieces to my theory and apparently the antlers Yeonjun had in nap of the star can be a symbol of victimhood. He has been decided to be the victim from the beginning of something he didn't do

the whole concept is actually dark, i just can't expand my thoughts here but soobin at almost end of the video snappedt, i just hope that someone will make a theory about this but the switch ups gives me chills, it's like a yandere moment lol

My theory : everytime everything turns dark they're controlled by the antagonist. It makes them have dark thoughts like when beomgyu "tried to kill taehyun". Or the fact that i think the food fight is an actual fight potrayed in a more "innocent way" but as u can see yeonjun saw the real result of the fight and was shocked and seem guilty. soobin, yeonjun and ESPECIALLY beomgyu got controlled except taehyun and heuningkai. Taehyun couldn't get possesed bcs he got the eye that connects to the star, he's aware of what's happening(he already predicted it in the end of run away mv) if u pay attention most of the time taehyun seem unamused unlike the others, bcs he's trying to find the culprit of the mess, it makes him suspicious and can't trust everyone.(which why he's involved in the fight, not bcs he's controlled.) The scene where they're on the table, beomgyu threw a tomato at him so then taehyun looks at beomgyu suspiciously but beomgyu only laughs(this give me chills bcs he literally just "killed" taehyun). He suspects beomgyu but to me there's no exact proof that beomgyu is the antagonist, he's just a victim being controlled, while heuningkai is either bcs he's too pure and innocent(as u can see when the others are "fighting" he's just sitting there, eating.) or it's the complete opposite... he's aware of what's happening and the one that has the ability to control the others. One of his lines say "now see them burn in fire"😳 Kai has wings, So He's an angel ..... or is he a devil? (Yes they have a song called angel or devil) i just feel like the culprit is someone unexpected and it's kai. But even if it's hyuka, it's not actually him. He could be a scapegoat. Remember, there's still that goddamn cat.
But what frustrates me is the fact that none of this explains the concept trailer which focuses on soobin. Unless.. soobin doesn't exist in the mv all along.. ?
Edit: i just realised i don't think soobin is controlled! Some scenes actually shows soobin looking as unamused as taehyun but also confused as if he's starting to realise something? I'm still not sure if it's bcs he realised the members are fighting or is it bcs he realised.. he's invisible to them? Bcs.. it may not be soobin's house too.. at the end when they came outside the house looking all devastated, it's only shown the four of them except soobin.
What's the purpose of the antagonist? To divide them ofc. In nap of the star story, they were once best friends who then goes their separate ways and forget about each other. This chapter is about that. Right after run away which is a song that contains their promises to stay together forever. In this song, the antagonist is making them think those were just empty promises and lies. Their minds completely overpowered by the evil antagonist, it makes them hurt each other and so they probably went their separate ways after that, thinking that they hurt each other too much when it's not actually themselves. And "Save me" is as in "save me from this monster inside me."
Phew i feel like i had so many more theories but this comment will be too long. I suggest yall watch the channel "bookish theories" on yt. She's the best theorist that has similiar theories as mine.

Beomgyu threw a lantern into the woods in magic island, starting a fire, and resulting in everyone's deaths. Yeonjun started a fire at school, and he could have caused harm to everyone else. Which would explain him looking at his "bloody hands" and then at him. He feels or knows he is responsible for hurting them. Beomgyu may not realize he is hurting them. That is one of my theories. But all I know for sure, is they are definitely linked with fire.

fits them in that they’re young and words like ‘my friends don’t understand me’ is such a phase so many people go through. But those moments when he’s looking at his hands covered in tomato? I’m always lost, so what’s the story there?
That said, this album has solidly put TXT as my favorite big hit group. Everything they’ve done has fit them so well and their music seems to almost evolve as they grow up.
The song is about how your friends can betray you and stab you in the back very easily. The reason why the tomatos/strawberries start looking like blood, and everything goes dark/scary randomly is to show how fast a person can turn on you. Like beomgyu and Taehyun were having a pillow fight and the next moment beomgyu is “killing” Taehyun. Friends can end up being your enemies just like that

So, what I’m getting from this, Beomgyu gave into the evil of the Black Cat first... Beomgyu is the first to go red, and he actively attempts to get the others involved... It’s like the story of Adam and Eve in the garden, once one tasted the evil fruit, they tried to get the others to taste it too. But! In TXT’s story, the others start to wake up one Soobin wakes up from the evil, making everyone realize what the Black Cat has led them to do, Beomgyu most deep in it, as he was the one lying in the most red. They all part ways, but they leave Soobin in the house to deal with the consequences of their actions, in serving the Black Cat.
This comeback has made me stan Big Hit & TXT - I’ll be paying a lot of attention to them now! This was so cool
My Theory: Soobin is held hostage by "the cat" that's why no one can see him in this video, they think he is dead (they literally break into the house if you look closely). Taehyun is the only one who knows sth isn't right and can feel Soobin, he's also trying to figure out who is "guilty" between them. Yeonjun thinks he *IS* guilty bc he keeps setting things on fire without knowing (unconsciously).
(Soobin is also suspected of Yeonjun bc of the bobble gum scene and him asking "who's the liar")
Beomgyu on the other hand *IS* the real guilty one bc "the cat" is constantly possessing him and using him to destroy the others (like when he tried to suffocate Taehyun bc he was starting to suspect him).
The only one I'm not sure of his role is Kai. He seems like "the innocent one" but him being the only one who's cautious in the bedroom scene makes me suspicious.

Literally the way BigHit puts all these stories together (for both BTS & TXT) is so masterful. Anyone else want to meet the geniuses behind all this? Also, the way they address such valid topics is perfection. I love the build that TXT has had over the last few years. The culmination into "Can't You See Me" is fantastic as they address growing pains (and maybe a little toxic masculinity?). :)
I really liked this MV. The bright pastel colors against the overall dark performance/vibe of the MV and symbolizing within the MV. The contrast really is amazing! The meaning of the strawberries and overall the color RED. Absolutely Psychotic! I love it! The song is just amazing! As well as the choreography! 😆🤯🙌😍

jre is such a mood in between being so enjoying over the mv and so confused over the story at the same time
i think what i like the most of it was that this wasnt really a mature concept. It was creepy, but it still had the innocent naive vibes of kids. It seemed like a bunch of teens who hurt each other and don't know how to fix it like many kids do. There are a bunch of things that line up with the lore of their universe, but i won't go into that.
Rather I like that they still have a naive child theme. We don't have nearly enough boy groups who get cuter naive concepts and keept those concepts, so i really hope txt explores the boyish concepts while also keeping their storyline alive, which they are doing. I just hope people wont say that they need to mature when they shouldn't have to, of course they can if they want but they shouldn't be ashamed of their youth theme.
Because its rather refreshing to see groups sing less about love and more about friendship and keeping the universe they have alive.
Their songs are starting growing on me, their stage presence is no joke especially Yeonjun 😫❤

In the dance, in Soobin's part, where they turn back to the camera, only Soobin and Taehyun have their fingers crossed behind their backs while the other members all have their pinky behind their back. This represents how they made a promise and someone had broken the promise by crossing their fingers, like Soobin and Taehyun did. After that they haven't been able to understand each other which is hurting them. In the MV you see how it is affecting them by HueningKai feeling ignored, Beomgyu feeling so mad at Taehyun that it makes him have the sudden urge to kill him, and etc. They're hurting each other and want to find a way to be the way things used to be. (Tdc star represents how they found one another, tdc magic represents the fantasy or dream they were having and this new album represents the reality of how things are)
