- So in this video I did some pond hopping the local area in Athens Georgia. I was mainly fishing the BFS gear with up to 2inch shads and pintails.
I also had a play with some back slide rigs too and had a couple of large mouths on it. I am fully mobile now, also managed to get hold of a kayak I'm borrowing to explore some of these bigger waters.

Those panfish you were catching are red breasted sunfish. Beautiful fish regardless of species though; glad you're settling into the States well. Good luck in your future adventures 🤘

So I have seen one spotted gar in lake lanier but I couldn't fish for it. Alot of the water here is private ponds. Back come I might sneak into them but here I will probably get shot so keeping everything above board until I know how far I can push my luck. 🤣

It's different, very different but probably a lot more suited to me and the fishing is crazy. Every little bit of water is loaded with some kind of fish or turtle or snake. 🤣
