There's lots of sane, reasonable, good hearted people in Minnesota who own a business and they care about the sane, reasonable, good hearted people who are their employees, and customers.
The true reaction to what happened in Western Pennsylvania was not one that any sane, reasonable, and good hearted person would have, and if they did by the moment, they would exhibit some sort of remorse for their morality failure.
His speech hasn't even started yet and I'm in tears watching how excited his children are for him!

Tim Walz is fantastic! His son was completely overcome. I could feel for that kid. I've been fortunate enough to have experienced at least a couple of events in my life that made me so proud and happy, it was paradoxically like a punch to the head. I almost passed out. That's clearly what that kid was feeling.

As a teacher, it makes me incredibly proud to see one of our own on that stage. Walz is just so obviously such a quality dude. I hope to be as beloved by my students one day as Walz clearly is :)
He's amazing. He served in congress and was on the veteran's affairs committee. Then he was governor of Minnesota...well he still is.
I heard of him last year when he passed one of the best agendas in the country, despite having a one seat advantage in his state congress.
He passed soooo many great things...some of them being simple things like making it so you can cancel a service with a click instead of waiting and calling or going in person. ❤
Also, Jesse Ventura, who was a former governor of Minnesota...he doesn't endorse politicians...ever. But he endorsed Tim Walz. And you can look up why.

Have to say the attacks on Walz 24 years of military service is not going over very well.
Nobody is attacking his service. Walz is getting attacked for lying about aspects of his service for political gain.
1) Walz retired as a Master Sergeant. But he continues to refer to himself as a Command Sergeant Major, which is blatantly FALSE. This is the first reason for the stolen valor accusation.
2) Walz lied about seeing combat in war when he never did. It was even attached to serving in Iraq under operation Enduring Freedom. He never corrected this for years when interviewed. This is the second reason for the stolen valor accusation.
3) Walz lied that he didn't know his unit was deploying to Iraq before he retired. He was actually notified in the Fall of 2004 months beforehand. Walz's superior even confirmed this on CNN.

I'm really trying not to stan Walz too hard, but dammit his son made me bawl. I have legit criticisms of Harris, but it actually does mean a lot to me that she picked Walz as her VP. I really hope she realizes a lot of us are giving her the benefit of the doubt after being disillusioned by the Dems for awhile now. Hope and change is nice, but we need to see more follow-through than we did with Obama who ran as a progressive, then led as a centrist. Let's get a majority so they have a fighting chance, and they have no excuses when midterms come around for getting at least a few things passed that she's proposing.

I believe Harris will intend to do everything she says, but ultimately it depends on how people vote down ballot. Unless Republicans vote D down ballot and only vote for Harris at top, she can’t keep promises. I am independent and it’s absolutely insane for anyone to vote R for anything anymore. That party is not a valid party anymore.

As an Australian I am confused - how could a country as rich as the USA have children in DEBT for buying school lunch! It's beyond comprehension ......
Good question Australia. So, the kid is not in debt. Thier account at school is cuz the parents didn't pay the bill.
Also in US if a family qualifies for medical or food assistance benefits based on income the student lunches are automatically free. So the people not paying for thier kids lunches have income that exceeds income limits for assistance.
The funny thing is the "free lunches" are paid for with the same parents taxes.
It is not true that all low income kids in america get free lunch. The other commenter is the typical delusional right winger that is holding america back.
The reason we have hungry kids in america is because people like that guy would rather feel superior to a child or a desperate parent in hard times than be a decent neighbor.
He will only learn when he hits times harder than he can handle himself and finds himself in need of support.
It’s because if we give every child free meals at schools, that will mean black kids will get free meals, and republicans can’t tolerate that. That’s why we don’t have so many things in the US.
The way our government is structured, the political minority can block most legislation, and republicans will deny everyone benefits if it also hurts the people they hate.
A lot of Americans think it's normal, that's how. Almost half of the country thinks that the government shouldn't use our taxes to feed kids.
