It should be Mandatory that every school in this great country to show these videos in class at some time.So is to know that freedom of speech is not free but very costly.
I have visited both Cambridge and Normandy Cemeteries. I was surprised at Normandy that the names on the stones were not facing the front of the cemetery. You had to walk to the other side to see the name on it. It took me a couple of minutes to realize the names on the stones all face to the west. They look back at the United States, their home, that they never saw again.
This wonderful video puts my emotion and gratitude to our Heroes into a tearful tribute. God Bless the USA and all who fought to protect our liberties 🇺🇸❤🇺🇸
I Remember listening to a Mother standing in front of a Memorial to her Son and she was asked what she felt like to see him honoured as a hero. She replied well i'd rather have my son than a Monument to him. Greatest Honour to pay these People is to make sure Man kind doesn't let it happen again!.
Their body are not home but their spirit went home to their loved ones and then when their loved ones had some feeling that everything will still be alright, they return to the mansion of the Lord were they were embraced and no more suffering but eternal light....I salut you USA from Swedish sniper
This song is also used in the movie dances with wolves and was called the John Dunbar theme. Apart from that.... We must Never forget the heroes that died for our freedom.
I'm still young but the song transport me to the world war 2 era, after the US relinquished all the countries grabbed by Japan. The era where places, countries were destroyed, people killed, soldiers were wounded with torn & muddy uniforms but there's smile in their faces and joy in tears as the war has been ended, a new life has begun for the humanity.
What a wonderful tribute to our fallen heroes. My uncle is among those who never came home. He was a fighter pilot during the Korean War and disappeared while on a combat mission in North Korea in 1953. Although they found the wreckage of his plane, he was never found. He was listed as MIA. Thank you so much for posting this video. It reminds us of all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and yet are buried overseas. I will be tweeting this video in a few days for Memorial Day.
This sog bring tears to my eyes. What a beautiful tribute. I am grateful for bringing my Dad back home from WW2 served in Sicily and Tunizia We have a great year with him until cancer took his life and now resting in peace with Jesus.
Wonderful tribute for the real heroes of this world. I saw the one at Cambridge and it was indeed memorable. Love the military and thanks to all of you for your service.
I just returned from the voting ward. I have never seen such a crowd excercising this precious freedom, paid for by the blood of our heroes. Thank you for your comments.
think its important to remember all nationalities who sacrificed their lives in the name of freedom and democracy not just americans ,we owe them all immense gratitude and respect irrespective of what side we were on the sacrifice is just the same.they are all brave men and this song, heres to the heroes is very apt.
My Father December 18, 1944 and is in Henry Chapell cemetery in belgium, that is why I love this country so. I served in the U.S.Navy in respect to him.
My assistance dog, Lyla, and I have visited many war grave sites to pay our respects, including Henri Chapelle and Colville sur Mer, featured here. The American sites are all massive and beautifully laid out, but all slightly different. British Commonweath War Graves sites range from large, such as Tyne Cot to small, such as Jerusalem and even individual isolated graves. They all follow a set pattern. German war cemeteries are all rather grim with thier dark crosses and up to 17 under a single headstone.
If you can visit any of these DO IT and don't be ashamed if you start to cry. Places where our HEROES lay with and a reminder the price that it costs to be FREE.
Thanks for the share Mike and thanks for the post 75t150. We shall remember. Just a beautiful and moving video. God's peace to all who are touched by this work of art.......Glenn
US Army Retired. Those who vote will not all be remembered but those that died so we could vote should always be remembered, ..., to my father's Brothers in Arms who did not make it home, and to mine. Don't waste a privilege others died for.
ALL THIS IS THE PRICE WE HAVE PAID FOR WORLD LEADERSHIP !!!!!!!!!!!! I HOPE NO ONE CALLS AMERICA "CHEAP" BECAUSE OUR HEROES' BLOOD HAS FLOWED AROUND THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS THIS GREAT NATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! B
We should never let the US government and state and local governments try to destroy our memories of how hard young men fought for our liberty, and the actual cost of that fight not only to those long men, but to their families also!!!! However, it's very sad that many in all levels of government today want those destroyed. WE CAN'T LET THAT HAPPEN!!!!!
@iriewaregl , thank you very much for your comments. My grandfather laid many friends to rest in Europe in WW I, and my father served in the Philipines in WW II .
Well consider that over 400000 American lives were lost in WWII alone, I'd say they are. Mind you, these are not just for WWII, but multiple wars in which American soldiers fought bravely and died.
here in Australia, it is illegal NOT to vote but you know what annoys me? the people who whinge and whine about the Gov but then waste their vote! they will tell you that they are making a "protest" by drawing silly pictures on their voting cards. No, they're not...they are being IDIOTS!!!! how exactly is that going help? even if you don't follow politics (like me) voting is a privilege not to be ignored. (thank you for listening. I will now vacate the soap box. Next person up!!)
All burials appear to be European related. Only Pacific area shows Philippines, what about the other area Pacific burial sites including the Punch Bowl Hawaii.
So , So many of them , so many we owe so much ! It really cut me up watching this . You read of numbers, that don't mean much . It's not till you see all those white crosses you realise what they mean !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Overwhelming, cannot stop weeping.
It should be Mandatory that every school in this great country to show these videos in class at some time.So is to know that freedom of speech is not free but very costly.
My granddaddy is buried at Henri Chapelle in Belgium. KIA at the Battle of Hurtgen forest. I wish I could have known him, may he rest in peace.
Thank you for each one that served and sacrifice for our freedoms and rights
What a beautiful tribute to those who gave their lives for freedom. I'm writing this with tears in my eyes.
There really are no words... I had NO IDEA that this was all over the world like this.... I really am filled with gratitude and sorrow.
I have to stop watching this...I keep crying!!

To see all these crosses make me sad. Have we learn nothing from this dark time? My all these young brave soldiers RIP.
"
May they all "Rest in Peace"!
each of those white crosses, and the man who lies beneath it- is a seed of freedom, planted with free will, bravery, and sacrifice in a foreign land.
Beautiful. Great tribute to our heroes
Freedom is never free

"Where are all these soldiers gone ... above their graves the wind will blow... when will they ever learn when will they ever learn ...???"
I actually have that 45 RPM record, from the 1960's. Here's the lyrics. Thanks for the memory. ruclips.net/video/bI3QVsW30j0/видео.html
A fine tribute to those who served and paid the ultimate price. May they Rest In Peace and may we never forget their sacrifice.

Those brave Americans who rest in eternity on foreign shores must never be forgotten. Young Americans this is what freedom cost.
Jeder einzelne ist ein held
May all of the Heroes Rest In Peace.
What makes me even more sad is that for all these young men, the war never ended. Their graves are on foreign soil. They never did come home.

With all due respect, last time I checked, Hawaii was part of the U.S.
Yeah, It’s the largest one too, having 17,000 fallen heroes.
