Thanks for the amazing content! I’ve been using your videos as motivation to declutter. It’s so difficult because I have spent decades antiquing, collecting objects I love. But its gotta be done! 🖤
Me too! Editing and putting away pieces. I love stying little vignettes of beautiful things but I am attempting to use fewer but larger, more impactful pieces.
Love these recommendations, specifically rearranging the furniture. I've recently downgraded from house to condo and wondering if you would consider a video addressing seamless small space design?
Keep looking cause everyone else sees it big time. Good way to really SEE your home, wardrobe, whatever is to take a picture. You'll see things you've been blind to.
You should talk about negative space. Taking stuff away is sometimes the answer. I took every thing off of the coffee table and put one vase of fresh flowwers.
Yes! I recently removed two smaller framed prints that flanked a larger piece of art and it’s a whole different feeling. I didn’t have the plants in that area when I originally hung them so the shift in symmetry makes it feel less barren than before.
Oh wow, same here. When I lived alone, I purposely took down the entry one because when I walked in, for a split second I thought there was someone in the house. Mirrors can be beautiful but they can also play tricks - especially at night.
I change things out all of the time also. I would love to see how you store your excess decor items. Mine seems to just be an organized mess in my garage and closets that aren't being used. Also, the art behind your desk is stunning!! Please share a link!! 🖤🤍🖤🤍
Do all these things all of the time! It's a running joke in my family how often I rearrange. I even think about it when I go to someone's house -quietly thinking, how can I rearrange this room?😆😄
The biggest and most cost-effective thing to do is to change up the furniture arrangement. Love that you mentioned this bc I have been doing this for years. Gives the room a whole different vibe and doesn't cost a thing. I recently changed my living rm and bedroom and now they both appear bigger. I love all the other ideas you shared bc they all work!
My husband used to switch our furniture around every so many months and yes, not only because he did it not me, but it was like being in a new place. Great idea.
Valentina please do a video on clocks … i really struggle with where to place them in each area of the house … and how you can make clocks look luxurious
Okay...I love these tips so much, and a lot of these are things I love to do in my own house. Also...I NEED this houndstooth jacket! ❤ Any good links for something similar?
Hi Velentina! I want to put mirrors above my nightstands. How far above them and how far from the ceiling is a good rule of thumb when hanging your mirrors Thanks for all the great tips!
Yes, I recently noticed my door mat looks worn and ugly. It's at least 5 years old and I live in New England. I've switched up some large framed paintings and got new curtains. Wow, what a difference. Thank you for the great tips.
Definitely love the tips on this style of video but I personally miss seeing the actual designs. The project discussions were my favs, I hate y’all stopped doing them. However - I’m forever remodeling so I enjoy ideas and tips of any kind from ODL. ❤
Hello Valentina and Jack! Nice video. I have a question that I have been wanting to ask for quite awhile. When you are sitting on the living room sofa I see that large mirror leaning against the wall next to the window. From this angle it looks like it’s opposite of the side of the fire place. Have you ever thought of placing that mirror where the wall art and the small black side table is? I know that everything you do in your styling has a purpose. I was just curious. 😊
I tried it there but the light wasn’t good on it. The mirror is actually a practical thing for me. I use it to check hair, make up and outfits before I go out or film.
I find one way to “see” my space with fresh eyes is to take a picture of the room or area. Viewing in 2D helps me better see the areas that need attention.
I've had mirrors above my night stands for years, as well as big mirrors and a few trees around the home. Makes a huge difference. I've since upped the size for my pillow inserts you mentioned in a previous video, which looks much nicer. Thanks for everything Valentina! It's always a pleasure seeing you. 💯 🌴🌿🌳
Could you do a future video with different set up centre pieces on a large dining table? (120”x48”) I’m so stuck. Something small in middle doesn’t do it for me. Two mirrored set ups on dining table too much for me …… would like one long really large item in centre but can’t find anything like that. Ugh ! Thank you!🥰❤️
We’re putting our resources into the backyard right now. We just got materials for a custom pergola. My husband is doing a burn treatment and I may or may not paint it hi gloss Carbon. We’ll see. It was just a lumpy dirt lot you had to be careful not to twist your ankle on just walking through it. And it’s right outside our windows, so it was all you saw. I’m loving the upgrades so far! And the pergola isn’t even up yet! 😍🥰
Hi Valentina! I love the B&W floral art in your office. Is there a link for it or similar? The Amazon art link isn’t working, if that is the link for this piece. Love you guys! Thanks for all your content, expertise and laughter!
In winter, luxurious = bigger pillows and thick blankets. In summer, paring back for a sleeker look = elegant. Once you hit upon an optimal furniture arrangement, I think it’s best to stick with that. But as noted, we tend to become blind to our space when everything remains static. So switching around the accessories makes you re-appreciate what you liked about them in the first place. Excellent point about going big with art and accessories - that does equate to luxury. I’ve noticed in decorating magazines that oftentimes it only takes one large piece of sculpture, wall art, ceramics, etc. to create the effect. Great job, Valentina!
My dear Valentina, thank you much for sharing your experience with us❤ I have problem with my oval coffee table, I find it to hard decorating it, could you please help me figuring out how to make it look great, it’s oftentimes about square, rectangular or round tables, never about an oval shaped table. I love you and once again thank you 🌸💐🌺🌷🌼❤️❤️❤️
Vale can you use something else then expensive ? We ain’t wana be expensive : either a person expensive or he not, we here for colors object and chic taste and so on dear, thanks
Word of caution, "weeping" fig trees are called that for a reason, or at least I have found this to be true. Back in the 70's and 80's they were "hot" and I had a big one. It emitted a sticky substance on the surrounding surfaces which was not good. A sap I suppose. Has anyone else experienced this? It might be ok if it was on a tile floor in a sunroom but I had it near an upholstered sofa, more drama, and so it was a problemo. Nowadays the fiddle leaf figs are much more popular, in fact you see them everywhere, so they may not be "weepers", hopefully. Another stand in, tho not green but dramatic, is branches. I was driving home from church one day and saw where somebody had cut down a river birch tree and stacked it all by the road. It was like gold to me. Both the river birches and the white birches have beautiful bark and can be used for multiple things. I put the bigger trunks with limbs in a large heavy pot, actually an umbrella stand, on my front porch, and created an artful arrangement. At Christmas I hung aqua and white and silver mercury glass orbs and icicles from the branches that arched high to the ceiling. Super pretty and dramatic. Could be done inside as effectively. Same with driftwood trees with branches. Just some outside the box organic touches to spark your imagination. Just think, that birch tree that I love would have gone in the chipper. Some people have rescue animals, I have rescue trees, furniture, etc!!
Are there any 'rules' for hanging mirrors above night stands? Does there need to be a gap between the night stand and mirror or can the mirror start where the night stand ends?
I recently swapped the laundry door mat for the two bad ones at the front door and it’s been making me smile. That’s got me thinking what colour the front door needs to be painted!
❤❤❤ Omg I was just rewatching Valentina’s scandi luxe video from 2 years ago and I swear she’s an oracle! Every picture is of what is HOT right now. 2 years ago she did this!!!
I have a 24x36 frame above my kitchen cabinets… that’s still in packaging and I’ve stopped seeing that poor lady in the demo picture sitting sideways 🤦🏻♀️ I had a vision a while back and never got around to finishing it. Maybe that should be another tip 😂 Finish your half done projects!
Oh yes mirrors, For me the reflection added visual clutter and busyness, so I removed them. My house feels much more peaceful now. On another note, I was watching the movie Lies and Deceit the other night. I kept thinking that the actress, Angela Cremonte, looked so familiar to me. I finally figured it out ..a blond Valentina!
where can I find a tall tree planter that is not concrete? My room does not have grey tones but is more beige, neutral....so I'm looking for a warmer " concrete like" look without the weight:)
I love your videos but I miss you showing us what you have bought, your decorating of your own home, and your hauls!!! Where are they??? Also where is Jack??? Your guys have such a beautiful chemistry, and make me laugh so much, shows your real selves. Thank you for all your advice 😊

Can't do the sconces beside the mirror in the bathroom. One would be in the shower, and one over the toilet. Or the mirror will only be 10" wide...
I added mirrors over my night stands about a year ago & I love them! This was a really good video!
Thanks for the amazing content! I’ve been using your videos as motivation to declutter. It’s so difficult because I have spent decades antiquing, collecting objects I love. But its gotta be done! 🖤

I think that I have stopped seeing the chair covered in clean laundry in the corner of my bedroom 😬😳.
😂😂
And I just wish I could. 😂
OMG !! I’ve got the SAME chair 🤔
Even worse... My clean laundry catcher and hanger is an elliptical machine!!! 🤣
Keep looking cause everyone else sees it big time. Good way to really SEE your home, wardrobe, whatever is to take a picture. You'll see things you've been blind to.
Yes. The lamp. Love it!
Love the visual examples of everything - so inspiring!
The only thing I need to make my home look and feel expensive is look around and count up how much all my projects are going to cost me 😭
Do you do fall decor
How about some color?
What happened to Fridsy’s with V???
You should talk about negative space. Taking stuff away is sometimes the answer. I took every thing off of the coffee table and put one vase of fresh flowwers.
I did that, too. I have to be very careful with decor on the coffee table. It can make the room look cluttered so easily.
Yes! I recently removed two smaller framed prints that flanked a larger piece of art and it’s a whole different feeling. I didn’t have the plants in that area when I originally hung them so the shift in symmetry makes it feel less barren than before.
I decided a long time ago not to hang mirrors where I might scare myself seeing a shadow if I got up in the middle of the night 😂
😂
Yes me too!
Oh wow, same here. When I lived alone, I purposely took down the entry one because when I walked in, for a split second I thought there was someone in the house. Mirrors can be beautiful but they can also play tricks - especially at night.
😂😂😂
Hello fresh is not saving money, it is spending on food much more...that is the truth
@@susanhagen4555for those who claim they have no time to cook 🙄
As opposed to eating out like we do, it is actually cheaper!
Cheaper and less waste!
And
CONVENIENT
I change things out all of the time also. I would love to see how you store your excess decor items. Mine seems to just be an organized mess in my garage and closets that aren't being used. Also, the art behind your desk is stunning!! Please share a link!! 🖤🤍🖤🤍
Art is the way to go. But, the retail store art has no life. Find a working artist and buy something you will love and it will be one of a kind.
Do all these things all of the time! It's a running joke in my family how often I rearrange. I even think about it when I go to someone's house -quietly thinking, how can I rearrange this room?😆😄
Love that! Now I’m single I’m going to rearrange and redecorate as often as I like. Houses have never been homes as I lived with a hoarder.

Yes! I only have 1 larger wall in my family room and I'm not sure if the clock would look right next to our bay window. 😬
Okay...I love these tips so much, and a lot of these are things I love to do in my own house.
Also...I NEED this houndstooth jacket! ❤ Any good links for something similar?
This makes me want to run home and rearrange everything! haha.
Hi Velentina! I want to put mirrors above my nightstands. How far above them and how far from the ceiling is a good rule of thumb when hanging your mirrors Thanks for all the great tips!

Can't wait for the holiday videos! Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas (reverse order of first two for Americans) Love that cozy season so much
This is exactly what I needed today! Thank you!❤

I buy the washable rug, I put it in the washing machine
In RH, I saw mirrors over nightstands and the look was gorgeous 💯

Best testimonial for Hello Fresh ever - way to go Jack .. and of course I love the video ideas … thank you
Do you have a Book of House of Valentina?? On how to decorate your house?? And, more??🤩💜That would be very helpful🤩Thank You💜

Hiiii … love the content! I’ve been busy so I can’t wait to catch up on your videos. Ready for a fall refresh…I can’t wait for upcoming ideas! 😊
Food in this economic climate is up 25% last years with Biden in office - weathers you talking about taking money from food?
Jack's back - yay!
In winter, luxurious = bigger pillows and thick blankets. In summer, paring back for a sleeker look = elegant.

I love your style. Can you please let me know the name of the paint on your walls in your living room and fireplace?

Oooo...I love the idea of a mirror over the nightstands! Great video today!
Girl I got an Ikea right down the road....what'cha need? lol 😄
Where did u get the black sculpture from please and the cost.
Mirrors behind side tables & your look is what is in showroom at RH
Are there any 'rules' for hanging mirrors above night stands? Does there need to be a gap between the night stand and mirror or can the mirror start where the night stand ends?
I love watching you! I get a smile on my face and always enjoy your content and presentation. :)
BTW…you can get a mirror framed at a frame shop, and it really takes it up a notch 😊
Will a washed oak wood like tile go with modern furniture?
I just came across your channel. Thank you so much you make things so easy to understand. I’m glad I found this channel . Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome!
I recently swapped the laundry door mat for the two bad ones at the front door and it’s been making me smile. That’s got me thinking what colour the front door needs to be painted!
Save money on food ? Ok good way to loose weight.
❤❤❤
Omg I was just rewatching Valentina’s scandi luxe video from 2 years ago and I swear she’s an oracle! Every picture is of what is HOT right now. 2 years ago she did this!!!
do you have a rug under your dining table?
Great video! I love seeing you and Louie! Tfs.
Thank you for your inspiration

The Fireplace has Lost some of its spark & interest without those round spears 😢
No greenery as well! Love the greenery that’s usually there
Love from Ireland ❤ love your content ❤️
Hang better art🎉 yes

‘’It’s proof that anyone can make this food’’…..😢 why?? Would you say that if your sister was standing there?
Love all your videos V!!!!
Thank you so much!
Great tips, but how would you dress or design the home for fall, without pumpkins etc and stuff? Love you channel!

Hello Please bring the Friday's vlog back! Thank you!❤
where can I find a tall tree planter that is not concrete? My room does not have grey tones but is more beige, neutral....so I'm looking for a warmer " concrete like" look without the weight:)
😊I love the idea of taking away the light over the mirror. Wondering the cost of rewiring the wall for the lovely sconces?😅
Thank you again for great ideas! I love looking at, and have purchased from, your Amazon Live, and storefront!
I’ve been poking around your LTK but I don’t see the gold bangle I’ve been seeing in your right wrist?❤
I can’t find the art piece on the wall behind your computer. Can you please help me? Thanks again for another great video 🖤
You sound a bit stuffy, Valentina. I hope you are feeling well.
Where is Jack? I haven't seen him lately? Love when you are both on the show.
I love your videos but I miss you showing us what you have bought, your decorating of your own home, and your hauls!!! Where are they??? Also where is Jack??? Your guys have such a beautiful chemistry, and make me laugh so much, shows your real selves. Thank you for all your advice 😊
i change items and furniture from room to room all the item...looks fresh
When you rearrange you see the things again. Because after a while we do get a bit blind and don't see how it looks.
So true! When you look at something every day, you truly do stop seeing them!
I change out the dining table monthly.
Mirrors in the bedroom are really bad feng shui and quiet dangerous in a spiritual sense. Don't recommend!!!!
And the spaghetti monster will come grab you 😂😂
How about if the mirror is in the bedroom but you never look in it😂I’m just too fat😊
I need a coffee table and can’t decide on a style!
I am joying these videos!! Thanks!!!
Any kitchen mat recommendations?
amazing
Loved it 😍 so beautiful and peaceful 🧡
Thank you for all these great ideas
Guess what? The behr color of the year just came out and it is cracked pepper! A shade of black! I need a video on it! ❤❤❤
I saw that too and it looked just like V’s paint on her fireplace. Do you think so?
I have a mirror in the corner over a vanity
It's nice to see your tree back.
Miss seeing Louie so good seeing him!
Thank you for the video
❤Yes!❤
