Besides the copious amount of humor, I appreciate how well you guys know the cars you show us. Going thru the junk yards there are very few you get wrong or can’t identify, yet you weren’t around when they were on the road.
I like when you walk through the junkyard you see all these different cars end pickups and to bring something back to life is awesome thank you for the video
Just started tackling the '50 Fleetline in my yard and wanted to look up some videos to research this old school engine, and man was this video a great find! Made me feel like I was hanging out in my own garage with friends, even 12 years on haha! Loved this video man
A couple Mazda rotary wagons, a pair of Datsun 510s, late 60's Toyota Corona coupe, Isuzu Bellette, early Toyota Crown and some Celica STs; lots of cool stuff! I wish I could buy it all!
Just found your videos. Great stuff, keep saving these old cars. I had a 52 Styleline 2 door that i sold in 1984 and bought back in 2003. Pretty far gone, but my nephew thinks he can make a gasser out of it.
It's so cute to watch men do men things and get excited about fixing up these old cars. It was funny when they were looking in their "shopping cart" at the separate fuel pump, starter, etc.
+WachdByBigBrother - Ha ha, Yes it made Me laugh too/ all that. They don't know how funny they are. I don't even know if they're even Trying to Be that funny ! -but I reckon it's gotta be a real asset in life, hasn't it ?! = ) She's a Runner !
it is nice just to see gear heads turning wrenches just because it is an awesome piece of machinery. Too many shows these days just take the frame and throw $30k at it with a whole team of pro's. These guys remind em if me and a few friends just wrenching on the weekend
Yes, all the mechanical parts for these cars are available without any trouble. Many body and trim parts are also available new. Some parts can only be found used, but these cars are not rare.
You dudes are a riot. You would make a great reality tv show. The only problem is they would figure out a way to ruin things. You cannot imagine how I have guffawed watching your YT clips. Besides that, the nostalgia is tremendous.
I love your video, guys! I'm thrilled that you chose that Fleetline. Four door body styles like this have been ignored for years. The great thing about 4 doors is that if your buddies decide they're too scared to ride with you, they have a way out. I, too, have one of these, but it's an Olds. One year body for them. I bought it to save it. It's something you just don't see anymore. I really, really want to send you a pic. Anyway, guys. Great job. Like nothing I've seen before!
every time I wander out to do a bit of work and it's cold (by Southern California standards) I think of you hard ass loonies doing good work in temperatures that'd make Santa Claus cry. Good on ya fellas. Keep these episodes coming.
I can smell the old grease and oil and the dusty upholstery from here in OZ. Love the shape of it. I would love to see it done right up but I understand the aim of the game is to just get it running.
haha ! that was koOl, it works by push button. . . if the buttons don't work, you push.. . also the tires wouldn't be bad if you could teach it to tiptoe
Maybe when I when the mega ultra lottery some day, I'll have to have a resto-mod Fleetline built. One that drives like a Chevy SS, but looks like the Fleetline! Maybe have to get those Icon guys to do it.
Hey! When you and your agents going to put down the aluminum and the darts and finish the 1960 Ply,Fury I’m getting weary waiting on the completion of said vehicle ....I’d come up and help but! I don’t think my battery would last that long on my power chair....👀👍🏿
*random observation* I wonder if anyone besides me thinks Scott looked a bit like Pat DiNizio (Smithereens - RIP Pat) in those days? Heck, even Tom looks a bit more youthful in this. Ah, the permanence of the YT! - Ed on the Ridge
That coupe you took all the parts off wasn't a Fleetline but it WAS pretty "kool". The body on it looked pretty solid ------------ at least on the side we could see. ;o)
I have noticed a continuing component in you excellent videos is that you folks are always working with these old relics dealing with ice and snow. Do you live north of the arctic circle LOL?
+heffo and juff Hi! We live near Edmonton, Alberta... and yeah, it snows from October til April and often May, so there's no really good way to avoid it! Cheers.
My neighbor is digging out his 50 Chev, 2 door coupe. Many years ago swapped out the 6 for a 327, and the three in the tree for a 4 speed, but it uses the original clutch fork. Hasn't been on the road in about 20 years and he is putting in a 350, but the same bell housing, clutch and fork and but the spring for the fork is broke and he is trying to find a replacement. Also his under the floor boards brake master cylinder. Do you have a local, or do you have a got to parts guy for the older stuff? He found a $5.95 unit out of Utah, but the 45 dollar shipping fee scared him off, so we are trying to something this side of the border.
John Powell Could anyone tell me what the car is at 2:54 that looks like a Buick Riviera? As for the Chevy and all your other cars, I'm green with envy. Cool dog too!
Is the price in USD or CAND ?? Since you found a George 6th in the front seat, you probably are from Canada ? Anyway, excellent .You make my frog 's day !
Are you in Canada ? Surely, tho it's pretty cold in the winter there, you must have more intact scrap yards, farm collections etc, than in the US -where they've had that shockingly OUTRAGEOUS 'cash 4 clunkers' law in effect for a while now ?
MungoidHen Yeah, I've been wondering how much old stuff is left. More here than a lot of places, I suppose... Still some open spaces and old farmsteads with room to put a few cars off in the corner... You're right; the "Cash for Clunkers" scam will be remembered as one of the most horrific wastes of resources ever perpetrated on an increasingly complacent and misled public. You can't beat the system, but you can refuse to take part. Buy old cars and fix them up and stick it to the man, haha. Cheers from us here at CWMC.
Man I love this grainy ass 2010s low budget video quality, it's really nostalgic to see :)
Besides the copious amount of humor, I appreciate how well you guys know the cars you show us. Going thru the junk yards there are very few you get wrong or can’t identify, yet you weren’t around when they were on the road.
Oh! Thanks for saying so; it helps that I've been obsessed with "car spotting" since I was a kid! Cheers from us here...
I like when you walk through the junkyard you see all these different cars end pickups and to bring something back to life is awesome thank you for the video
And another great car is saved! I love it and I loved to hear: "I love tbe smell of black mold in the morning"! God bless you guys!
It's cool the way the junkyard owner opened up more and more and had more fun as the tour went on.

It is great to see a video of men acting like men, doing what guys do, no little kids running around getting in the way.
I love these videos finding old cars and getting them started! That's the life
Hey, thanks for checking it out! Love your model junkyards, and all of the amazing realistic junker models you do!
it is nice just to see gear heads turning wrenches just because it is an awesome piece of machinery. Too many shows these days just take the frame and throw $30k at it with a whole team of pro's. These guys remind em if me and a few friends just wrenching on the weekend

How cool is this video,I love it!!!!Wish I was there.
Love the push broom holding up the hood!!!!
Coyote looks like a great place to shop!
You dudes are a riot. You would make a great reality tv show. The only problem is they would figure out a way to ruin things. You cannot imagine how I have guffawed watching your YT clips. Besides that, the nostalgia is tremendous.
+marcomalo02 Thank-you very much for saying so! Nice to hear from other nostalgia-junkies...
What a find! The torpedo shape looks great,
😂 tom he makes me laugh. Looking forward to seeing more of Tom and his stories.👍✌️😎❤️
Clayton knows every vehicle he has inside and out.
I Love the old Dodge Egg Beater starter sound. Ja na na na na na na na na Na Na na na ...
You have a good eye, it has a complete motor, rolls well, and that looks to be mostly surface rust... well.

+coldwarmotors

Hey thanks for subscribing! More on the way!
Never saw a car that looks better than that!
Thanks! We had a lot of fun with this one. Next episode coming soon!
I can smell the old grease and oil and the dusty upholstery from here in OZ. Love the shape of it. I would love to see it done right up but I understand the aim of the game is to just get it running.
That was a great rescue! That's a cool car!
I think you men are on to something. Great idea for a video series and nicely done.
Watching this video from 2021. This must have been well before I discovered CWM.
More communal iron. Tom says "I'm the only one older than this one here."
Clayton prefers to trade for other cars rather than sell them, but mostly he keeps them and sells parts to collectors. Thanks for watching!
What is this magical place?!!! I could live here!
Half the people in Sask were conceived in the back seat of that Fleetline :)
Hey, thanks! I'm glad you liked it. We had fun doing it, too.
Keep on doing the car Lords work. Love it!
I really dig the sign Dude...........lol
One does not need good reason to salvage junk vintage cars. It's best to have a lack of it, just press on and remain calm during the rehab.
haha ! that was koOl, it works by push button. . . if the buttons don't work, you push.. . also the tires wouldn't be bad if you could teach it to tiptoe

Well done ....
Very nice old Chevy.
I’m here in 2023, is Clayton still with us and if so is he still in business?
Like a half dead puppy coming back to life
the paint for all those was a mixture of left over army navy paint from WWII
I love the 51 Chevy. But as Dad tells me that the kize4 might be the next one up 😋

+Pappa Bob Yes; good eye... I may go back for the coupe, actually... Cheers from me and Stel.
+coldwarmotors I think I would if you still have access. Hope it happens!!
That would be heaven for me.
Does it ever get warm up there? Sheeeesh!
1941 Canada 25 Cents George VI Silver Canadian Coin D3728

US $47.77
Approximately C $59.18
very entertaining video
Seems perfectly logical to me.
Clayton looks and sounds like Rodney Dangerfield. I keep waiting for him to say..."Hey I can't get no respect".
its a much better car then the modern shite so thats why.

P.S. This was the first Cold War Motors video I watched. A couple years ago now.
I used to daily a 53 Chevy 210. I got a replacement master cylinder through Napa, wasn't cheap, like $250. That was 20 years ago though
$1549 is what the 1950 Chev Deluxe cost when it was new.
John Powell Could anyone tell me what the car is at 2:54 that looks like a Buick Riviera? As for the Chevy and all your other cars, I'm green with envy. Cool dog too!
1976 Pontiac Grand Prix

+Marshall Curtis Hi! I think it was a 1970 plate?

***** Interesting comment...
1980-1986 Ford pickup i believe
Thought you said she was gonna fire❓
Where is this salvage yard?
Would you sell the steering wheel off your Chevy fleetline ?
I'm trying to find a car like that to restore I can't find any where I'm living they're hard to find
Answer appears to be "no" ...?
Vintage Dean?
Sitting in a junkyard since 1966 and the motor isn't frozen?? The oil would be fossilized by now.
