@@MurderersRow315 As the ace of the team's pitching staff he has 2 set the table for the pitching staff he was hurt a 3rd of the season and came back to the rotation not on his game, He get's paid like an Ace but doesn't pitch like it in my opinion... Now I Never said don't let COLE Walk after the season, let's see what he does in the post season but if he doesn't show up don't say I Didn't warn of his inconsistency.
The post season depends on two things, the Bullpen, and the ability score with runners in scoring position. Whatever happens during the rest of this year, next year these deficits need to be addressed.

Very few players get to become MLB players since Day 1. I could mention: A Rod, Griffey, Roberto Alomar, Ivan Rodriguez, Juan Soto, Judge , Jeter. Dominguez need a full year to demonstrate he is one of those. Playoffs isn’t the place to try that. Volpe, fir example, has shown to be a MLB but not a Star, at least up to date.
I like it verdugo , LF , judge CF , soto RF better outfield for the playoffs

Congratulations Yankees! I heard the Yankees are only team to beat Corbin Burnes twice this year. Luis Gil and Gerrit Cole. Corbin Burnes just gave up a homer to Stanton. The rest of the Yankees runs were from the bad Orioles bullpen. Yankees will take the win though. I think Jasson Dominguez should start all post season games with Verdugo coming in in later innings. Yankees still have work to do! Go Yankees!
I disagree. There is no need to risk injury to anyone. The goal is to win the most postseason games, not regular season games. Boone’s one and only,y job now should be to ensure the entire roster is rested and healthy as possible. Give everyone enough work to keep loose but that’s it.

Like 43, the number of Troy Polamalau. That’s good. I feel the Yankees are gonna do good in the Playoffs. No excuses! If we get at least to the AL Finals, Soto stays. That’s my prediction. I will not second guess any decision regarding who is gonna be in the roster. Boone deserves the benefit of the doubt.
If you don’t like Boone and Cashman then you have to root against the Yankees because if the Yankees win it all they will be around for a long time. Let’s go for number 28! 😅
To me if it was me from my opinion Verdugo vrs Dominguez it has to be Dominguez in left field and Verdugo off the bench to pinch hit period. Or they can flip the DH spot between Verdugo and Stanton if they have to they need to keep Dominguez in the lineup and on the field

And Volpe has to get better. I thought he'd be hitting a lot better than he has all year

If they win they win but I’d rather see everyone get just enough playing time so they are loose. There is no need for Rondon to pitch deep, no need for Judge to play 9 innings, etc.
Get people like Berti in the game so he will be ready if called on in the playoffs. Put Dominguez in left field and hope a lot of fly balls are hit his way so he can figure it out

Besides verdugo being a massive offensive weakness, Martian needing reps, stroman being someone useless, Stanton and Wells too up and down, volpe not hitting at the right times ...there's still only one massive issue we should be concerned about...Aaron Boone he is not a championship manager, nor is he a top 15 manager. I think the chisox should hire him. He is THE reason for the post season decline and of course, Cash-man is the reason there's been a 15 year slide.
When Yanks get eliminated by the O's or Guardians in the playoffs due to Boone's moronic moves, or lack of moves, then perhaps we'll be singing a different song. Hope I'm wrong, but when it takes a manger 11 blown saves and countless near disasters by the closer to finally move him out of the 9th inning spot, you can't honestly say you have a skipper who's on top of things. You let the worst fielding second baseman continue to start because you "need" his bat, a bat that hasn't been there until the middle of August? At least put in a defensive replacement for him in the late innings of close games. No, can't do that. And seriously, let's talk about how badly this team is lacking in fundamentals and base running ability. Torres for one, leads all of baseball with six outs at home and the Yanks have only one baserunner ranked in the top 135 on the statcast baserunning leader board. We lead all of baseball in grounding into double plays. Should we maybe sacrifice a bit more to stay out of the double play? Of course not . . .

Yes, the depth CANNOT be understated. Last year was brutal depth wise. Them dudes were castoffs but yes, this year Cashman took care of biz in that regard.
The two losses to start the Baltimore series was possibly significant as it forces the Yankees to reduce the magic number from two to zero during the Pirates series to secure best record in the American League and get the number one position in the playoffs, which the Yankees have to go through to reach the World Series.
I’m a glass half empty person but the reality of it is, Clarke S pitched well, and Stroman was off kilter. Baltimore was coming for NY anyways as they are fighting for their postseason lives too ok.
It’s funny how you bring up that Dominguez got struck out and verdugo hit a home run. Dominguez went up against one of the best pitchers in the league that only allowed one run. Verdugo hit a home run off a pitcher that everyone was getting hits and runs off of lol. It wasn’t like he hit a home run to tie the game either. It was what? 10-1 to that point?
Dominguez is not only a threat at the plate. If he gets on base he is a SB threat and can get in scoring position for the next hitter. That will be key in the post season.

Verdugo needs to be the starting left fielder in the postseason based on defense, primarily. As much as we'd love to see Dominguez out there, he's just not ready yet.

6th. The pitch was so nasty and placed perfectly, the bottom of the ball just touching the top of the strike zone. Wells' pulled his hand down a little to much, so they didn't get the call.
Quite enjoyable watching last night.
It's pretty clear Dominguez simply isn't ready offense and surely defense.
Hopefully he'll work on both over the winter.
What makes you think he’s not ready offensively? Because get got struck out twice? So did judge and Stanton. He drew a walk, SB and run. He’s also been having competitive at bats getting hits. Defense needs work but his offense is not bad.
@ChangeupK batting .191 I just feel he hasn't had enough mlb games and at bats. His future looks bright but we are at playoff time and we don't have the luxury to wait
