    Thank you for this video! I see how Sensei perfectly uses his gamaku. I'm practicing karate (mostly Shotokan and Wado) since 1984, but now I'm more into Okinawan karate. I have a question, should I roll my tailbone at the end of a technique, or should I hold this position all the time? I'm feeling comfortable if I'm holding it in my kamae and other stances, but I often lose it when I move in a free kumite. Any help and advise would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

    A lot of Karate styles has a lot master skill's that most creators band forbidden, or refuse too teach it, because of its deadly proficiency and didn't want others to abuse the knowledge given too them.

    what is hakkei?

    • @stefanschleps8758
      @stefanschleps8758 3 года назад

      It can be roughly translated as Fajin. That is, when the technique, and conditioning, have been trained correctly. The student can express his force through his body and out of it into the opponent. It is a combination of several important factors. Like Kime and Kata. And being centered. Having root. And being in sung/song state. Once the technique and the conditioning have matured. It is the expression of force. To a long term student it is like snapping your fingers. Quick, correct and effortless.

      @@stefanschleps8758 in okinawan karate, they didn't use kime', kime' is contracting the entire muscle in split second at the end of move to produce more power. But the okinawan didn't use that modern technique, they use chinkuchi, to produce the power they combine relaxation, compressing, rooting the feet and many more in one attack, it's like our body explode the power within and suddenly locked.
      It's alien technique in modern karate, but Higaonna sensei often explaining about that, when gamaku & chinkuchi you did is correct and linked, you can produce atifa in your attack
      Sorry for my bad english

      @@yogi8337 You don't know what your talking about. Your being racist. Go back to school and learn some etiquette. Remember, sometimes it is better to keep silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Your statement is wrong. As you are demonstrating a gross misunderstanding of the concepts involved. You obviously don't know what kime and kata mean. Read the Bubishi. When you have completed that reading, if you comprehend what you have read. You can apologise. Good luck young man.
