Mr. Mike was always cold. That Wicked Wayz album is a stone cold classic that’s still jamming to this day. Where ya Love At and Stop Lying was my favorite cuts on there. 💯

Mr. Mike is on my list of cold versatile rappers. "All In My Mind" is still my jam off of 8Ball & MJG "On Top Of The World" album ... Mr. Mike spitted some fire on that track. Dallas,Tx representin ✌🏿. This interview was unexpected Donnie, you picked a good one, Mr. Mike is lyrical madman, a lot of young dudes don't know what their missing
Early 2000s Mr.Mike was in Houston with my boy he knew from Corpus, CYAR THA DON. They swung by and picked me up on the North off 1960. We went to a studio on the Southside. Mr.Mike said in 15 minutes he would have a whole verse, hook, bridge, and he gon sing too. I was like cool. 15 minutes later he had all that ready to go. Iw as ready too with my verse. He brought the beats. He laid his shit down. Then I went right after him and back door his shit. After I came out the booth. Mr.Mike said He'll NAH! This nigga ain't fixing to out rap me on my shit. Then he rewrote his whole verse...... CLASSIC... I still jam WICKED WAYZ till this day.
Wicked Wayz stays in rotation since it came out!!! Pretty much all Suave house and No Limit at that time. The days of The Source Magazine promos you take out and hang up!! Those were the days.

Mr. Mike one of the hardest rap albums of all-time in my opinion. never thought suave house ever reached their potential and would've loved to have heard more from them, especially mr. mike during that time period.
THE MOST UNDERRATED RAPPER EVER...He was not playing when he said if you listen to that album today ," Anotha Day Anotha Balla", the lyrics are UNMATCHED to this very day..
Nawfside Corpus Christi in the house.... I remember seeing Mike at a show at the Galvan ball room back in 89-90, didn't think he would make it as far as he did but that goes to show that with hard work anything is possible!
Brother Donnie, I asked you a few months ago about a Mr. Mike interview and you told me you've been trying to make it happen. Thank you for keeping your word King! You are very appreciated for what you do for the Culture!
