The westwood nature center building accurately reflects the lush green outside surroundings with the animals and birds making it their natural home. The long hallways and party rooms display much of what is going on outside and is a fun filled way for school field trips and birthday parties to discover what is going on outside in the marshy area . Including the rescued injured turtle who plays around inside the aquarium.

There are sadly plans to demolish this unique building
Hopefully they will keep the wood lake nature building standing longer for more seasons so trail walkers can take a break inside the building.
