I am assuming you are referring to the width of your phone and case. Wow 9cm is wide. I just went to measure, when it opens, it only opens up to 8cm wide. So your device (plus cover) has to be narrower than 8cm to use this car charger.

Hi. Good day to you. Just wondering if it is still working well for you after 2 years? I recently bought a similar designed charger from Joyroom and it started to make rattling sound. Wondering if yours is ok.

Huawei Wireless Car Charger is Better Than This. Xiaomi's Internal Fan Stays ON, even when the Phone is not Gripped on it, consuming Unnecessary Power. In Huawei, Fan only turns ON when the Phone is Mounted & Wireless Charging is on. It means if you install a Phone which has no Wireless Charging Built-in it. The Fan will not Turn ON & now Huawei will Just act like a Phone Mount. Also, Huawei is a 27-Watt Fast Charger while Xiaomi is a 20 Watt. But the Only Disadvantage of Huawei is that the Charging block provided with it doesn't have Extra USB Port & the wire is Integrated. It doesn't come out. The charging Block provided with Xiaomi has Extra USB Port. With Little Research you will find that both are almost of the Same Price. On some websites, Huawei is at Lower Price. I have Both chargers. Though Huawei Doesn't have a fancy Blue Light Like Xiaomi still Huawei is Better. Also, in Some Car Cigarette Charging Port is connected to Hot Battery Bus & it stays ON even when Car Key is Turned OFF. In this case, Xiaomi's Fan & Blue Light Consumes Unnecessary Battery Power while Huawei will Just stay Idle. Huawei's Primary Coil Doesn't Energise till Phone is on It. Only small power it consumes in for infrared sensor, same as with Xiaomi. Huawei Gives More time for User if You wants to Take out Phone from Charger when Infrared Sensor is Touched. In Xiaomi, you have to quickly Take out the Phone Once you Touch the Infrared Sensor. Otherwise, Jaws will re-clamp the Phone in No time. Huawei is Light in Weight & Slim. Xiaomi is Heavy & Little Thick. Both sizes Otherwise. Thanks, RUclips Friends. Hope this Review will Help Someone.
I was wondering, if I can use it as a phone mount when my phone is fully charged. Will the clamp continue to grip the phone if I simply disconnect the usb cable? I guess we can't be charging our phones all the time especially during long road trips. Which is the best for this purpose, Huawei or XiaoMi?
