Agreed re: beauty blenders. They eat up product. Hands, properly washed, are more hygenic as well.

Agree 100%. If I use a sponge I picture myself spreading bacteria all over my face, even if just washed 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ya it’s so nasty I have used one before but I prefer my hands. I never grew up with a beauty blender so it’s weird to me

I think my favorite so far was Elizabeth Taylor’s makeup routine on your skin. I felt like it just looked so nice with your coloring etc.

LOVE coty airspun powder. A drag queen's best friend.

Beauty blenders imo are best to just pounce over the skin after foundation has been applied. Don't actually apply it with the sponge 👍

Thank you so much for posting such a great video again. I'm so in love with your content now - never knew I could be so enamored with a RUclips channel. Happy New Year, Laura!

But I will agree if I had to pick between Dita and Elizabeth Taylor that would be a very hard choice. Their beauty routine are legendary so I'm recently wanting to mix both of them together and create like a hybrid version for daily usage.

The best way and the most natural look with foundation is applying it with fingers. I rub it in my palms and apply it like the face cream until it's all even.

Capture totale is...for mature skin...hydrating. it's also my favorite but since im oily i only use during fall/winter. Thats interesting she found it matte. Also the skincare element of it does actually work surprisingly. I thought mixing skincare in makeup would make it useless but nope.

Well Dita ain't exactly 20years old anymore either she is well over 40 granted she ain't 60 or anything but she is obliviously looking out what's best for her skin🤗🌅☕ -Mercy(sorry for the name confusion I am on my dad's phone at the moment)

      Pure placebo effect... Sorry.
Relying on your makeup for skincare results is a MARKETING tactic and they GOT YOU!

I know this question is coming to you a year or so late, however, would you please return a answer regarding the scent in this product? Is it very fragrant & if so; does it dissipate after a spell? To refresh; this is in response to a *Laura Jane Atelier* video structured around the *Dita Von Teese* 7 day make up "challenge" applying the *Dior* brand foundation named "Capture Total". Thank you in advance

I agree, using your fingers is a lot better and you get more of the product on your skin than sponges.
    Nice coverage the Dior has!

Laura I have to agree with you! that powder is legendary I've used it for years. As well it, and doesn't crease or cake and it wears really well. also the fragrance is so old world.

I love using the ilia tinted serum foundation. I’m an oily person so I was surprised how well it worked on my skin. I use the honest beauty loose powder because it’s talc free but works really well with filling in pores.

If you love Dior products and are thinking of getting more, try their Dior Show mascara. I just love that stuff! Unfortunately they changed the brush that I love, so I don't think it's this nice now as it used to be, but it's still great! Enjoyed your video so much! 👍🌺

Some liquid foundations work and spread better when warmed in your palm. The only time I use a sponge of sorts is when I use a water-activated cake foundation and I use an old school circle sponge for those.

I was thinking this foundation was oxidising. Do you spray yr beauty blender before you blend? I see many people using them dry x

    • @DMV8662
      @DMV8662 2 года назад +1

Beauty blenders are fantastic... I never have a problem with them absorbing my foundation... I apply foundation with my fingers first just to get it in my skin then blend with the damp sponge... I don't get all the comments acting like theyre the worst thing of creation??🤣 Flawless 100% of the time!!! If you have oily skin a DRY BB is the way to go....
