There is a man who makes legs for animals who are missing feet or legs. His show is called Wizard of Paws. Try looking him up to see if he can help or to recommend someone to help that piglet.
They used prosthetics for a lamb on this show - but I think that one had 2 healthy feet and 2 misshapen/missing hooves. Even back then they said it was normally done for dogs/cats, and tbh it's probably very expencive. so it can be that the owner or the lamb had the cash, but that owners of the piglet can't spend that much on 3 prosthetics and are looking to do some DIY for the future. Hopefully they are able to keep stubby moving and happy well into adulthood
@@Tanjaaraus I think that most likely they are waiting until she stops growing to go for prosthetics since getting a new set every time she outgrows them would be very expensive. So while she's small and still growing like a weed it might not be worth spending all that cash on something that she will outgrow in a few months.
Great Danes are beautiful dogs. They have such a short lifespan that the heartbreak is just a part of owning one. They have lots of health problems. Every time I see one I love them and they make me sad at the same time.
I love how they lean right into your legs and hips when you pet them. Granted I'm pretty short so the biggest great danes can come up to my waist and even my chest.
I'm glad that cockatiel only had a bit of bruising and impact shock going on rather than a fracture of his wing or spine. I'm sure that his mommy was very diligently nursing him back to health every step of the way. Even the smallest of creatures deserve some TLC.
I was suprised the doc said if the spine or wing was bad she would be put down tho, many pet birds do just fine without being able to fly or walk, but a broken wing can be set and the bird can fly again. now that seemed strange.
+Amberlinn Rose Lee ... and his sister, named Soda! Many years ago I had a Lilac Siamese cat that I named Lil' Skittle (Skittles for short) because of the way she came to be with me. I came home from work to find a teeny kitten cowering in my Juniper bushes so that's what I called her at first (Juniper, Juni for short) until I canvassed the neighborhood to hopefully find her rightful owners and found out her sad story. It seems a pickup truck went barreling down our street (suburban) at break neck speed earlier in the day while a guy in the back literally *threw* a cardboard box out and a whole bunch of the wee kitties flew out of the box and "skittled" everywhere. No one was sure if Mom was in that box too. I searched the neighborhood for weeks afterwards for my now renamed Lil' Skittles' siblings and Mom. Left my contact info w/everyone and asked them to pass it along. Never did find Skittles' bio family but I gave her the best, loving home w/her new 4 legged, 2 legged (human & animal), fins & feathers that I could.
Show: talks about archie the dog My cat, who is named archie and loves his name: meeeooow meow? Mrrooowwwww. He really thought they were talking to him.
The great Dane reminds me of what our dog went through. She was playing and spontaneously ruptured a disk in her spine. Her back half was completely paralyzed. When we heard her yelp we ran to her and she was coming down the hall to us. Her front half was fine but then we noticed she was dragging her back half. That was terrifying to see. We rushed her to the vet and got her help. Thankfully she has pretty much a full recovery. Her back half doesn't always work in coordination with her front. And she loses strength easily in her back half. But she's happy, active and very loved.
Dr. Chris is so amazing with how he can come up with unique treatments to help all kinds of animals. I cried at the end of the video, tears of joy, to see Skittles running and playing with his friend Soda. Good job Lisa, Andrew and the entire team for helping this amazing dog get his life back.
Amazing all the progress Skittles made! I could tell he was TRYING to use those legs but the signal was just getting lost in translation. Poor boy. Thrilled to see him recovering!
Dr Andrew is an amazing specialist. I know if my dog had paralysis I would go to the ends of the earth to have Dr Andrew care for him or her. Dr Lisa and Dr Chris are awesome as well 💗💗💗
Mu mother had a cockatiel, they live a really long time, he definitely made it past the expected life span. Anyways, I gave my mom a kitten and that cat and bird became bff's. The cat would lay on top of the birds cage and the bird would crawl on his sticks right up underneath her and they would look out the window all day, the bird would start squaking when he wanted the cat to come out there, and she would go out there and jump up on his cage. She never would reach into the cage to bother him. I think they both enjoyed each other's company. The bird passed away one day, he was almost 27 years old, my mom woke up one morning and he was in the bottom of his cage. The cat mourned him for a littlewhile, she would lay on top of his cage looking into it, she finally stopped getting on top of it, like she knew he wasn't coming back. We took the cage out after that. That cat and a bird were bff's for 5 years. My heart is breaking for skittles. I felt so awful poor skittles had that happen, so young, I'm happy he's doing well and running again.
I learn something every episode I watch. In all of my 58 years, I didn't know what a trotter was. I am a big animal lover but piglets aren't really my forte. I love how Chris comes up with all sorts of unconventional ideas to help the animals he cares for. And yes, as he said her future is going to be bright - bright pink judging from the look of her legs LOL!!!! I love Lisa and Andrew both as well, I hope they will continue somehow to pop up on future shows. I know we're behind on episodes here in the USA, but I hope all of them get posted here on RUclips. I'm an OR nurse but furloughed due to COVID-19, so I have a lot of time to watch until I get called back to duty. These are the highlight of my day, so thank you for keeping this old lady educationally entertained!!!!!

Man o man! This episode had me crying for all the animals. I am really pleased that Skittles🐶😇❤ is going to be ok. Great outcome for Skittles Stubby's story was really unique. I'm so happy that she will have a normal life 🐷😇❤Dr. Chris is really an awesome doctor. Dr. Andrew, Dr. Lisa and all of the vet techs are truly awesome and amazing. Wonderful all around for all. I did not know that a dog could have a dislocated jaw. What a relief that Dr. Andrew pop Archie's 🐶😇❤ jaw back into place.
I’m so thankful to the veterinarians, vet techs, and all their staff for taking care of animals during this pandemic. They also risk their health so animals can still be taken care of.
My heart was in my throat the entire episode. They were all beautiful stories and ended with such an incredible survivor in Skittles the most deceiving dog name ever but I love ❤️ it. And sister Soda as well.
I've watched so many episodes but this is definitely my fav. Skittles being the star of the show🐶 I recently had to make the difficult decision to send my 12 yr old Great Dane to heaven and watching skittles make that recovery just warmed my heart. They are truly special dogs, gentle Giants. My jaggar was our family and we will forever miss him💔
Seeing Skittles make a full recovery fills my heart with joy and with a bit of heart ache. I miss him so much and can see much of my boy’s spirit in Skittles and I am grateful that Rad got to keep Skittles for the years to come.
I can't even imagine how expensive that treatment was... it makes me flinch when they call in the specialist or go for hugely expensive scans, etc. They give amazing care, but the pets must have wealthy humans to begin to afford the simplest stuff they do. I've spent a lot to keep my bunnies and my cats alive. It's insane how much a hospital stay is for pets...ugh. Hugs, duder, I'm sorry you lost your beloved companion so soon... though it's always too soon

Stubby is so stinking cute!! I used to be obsessed with pigs as a kid and watching little stubby I see exactly why I was lol. In her little pink makeshift trotters was adorable. I hope as she grows they are able to continue to make it easy for her to walk and get around.
I’m sorry I have not been “Like” each video. But believe me, I live these videos. I’m binging in them bc I love animals and I love ppl who dedicate their lives to the betterment and well-being of these beautiful creatures. Thank you All, not just Dr Chris and Dr Lisa...the ortho dr is brilliant and a magician with his hands. Again....thank you!
I thought it was funny when I saw y’all doing rehab on Skittles in that very small room. He barely had enough room to turn around. Eric was so sweet. I knew he would get better. Dr Chris never seizes to amaze me.
These vets are simply amazing in what they are able to achieve and in alot of cases against all odds. Skittles situation really tore at my heart and to see him at the end, well just beautiful, had me in tears to be honest, I'm so happy for the outcome and I hope today Skittles is creating havoc as only Great Danes can do lol.
I can't stand it, Stubby is so stinking adorable! I can see why her mommy loves her so much.. That face of hers makes you want to give her loads of smooches..
Stubby is positively a gorgeous little girly! And you could see she was really listening to your voice as you held her: she could tell you cared, you could see it in her eyes. And to come up with chair caps to serve as trotters: see? Necessity IS the mother of invention! And of course, that invention was based on love! Please can we have a follow-up video down the road??? We would LOVE to follow her progress. And I'm sure in the meantime, further research will turn up someone who can design better trotters as she grows bigger! Yipee! Good day for Stubby! Thank you Dr. Chris!
I have 2 great danes, and instead of them being our pets, we are their people. They are family to us, and we'd be crushed if anything happened to any of our animals. Poor baby, I hope that he gets better!
Thanks for the episode! I'm hoping once Stubby a bigger that you'll have a follow up. Right now those prosthetics work, but once she's huge? Is she the kind that they can keep smaller from what they feed her like those mini pig pets from a couple other episodes? The great dane broke my heart, I love how you do your best to show the outcomes of the animals in this show. It was a relief to see skittles running around having fun.
I really worry for that piglet as its problem is going to become much more significant as grows as this does not appear to be small breed at all, but at least if worse comes to worst it can still at least have a happy childhood while it's little and its condition can be managed.
Man, I feel for Archie. I frequently sublux and dislocate joints because I have EDS. It’s NOT comfortable to have your joint out of place for a long period of time. What’s funny is that they essentially did what I do to treat it, popped it back in and braced it.

I just thinking that 😊 the whole staff is absolutely lovely.
He’s brilliant. I enjoy watching him come up with all these solutions.

LOVED the reaction of the couple when they found out it was just a dislocation and it was fixed. 😄

That type of dislocation isn’t something that just happens though…
I would have liked a little info about how he is to be fed.

Stubby is such a beautiful piglet!
Skittles is a gorgeous Great Dane.
Dr.Chris ❤️👍
Bravo 👏 he has got solutions for all the problems
Omg that piglet is so cute!!
5mins of watching and I'm already tearing up
Man, I feel for Archie. I frequently sublux and dislocate joints because I have EDS. It’s NOT comfortable to have your joint out of place for a long period of time. What’s funny is that they essentially did what I do to treat it, popped it back in and braced it.
He’s only 18 months and he’s already so bigg 🥺🥺🥺🥺 what a cutie
yall are so helpful, spreading passion to others
