I like Moa’s smile too. I was front row for my first Babymetal show in 2016, and I had only just discovered them that day really. I was dressed like an idiot because it was a music festival so I caught Moa’s eye and she smiled briefly. She stole my soul with that smile.

This was filmed on December 21st, 2013, at the 'Legend 1997' concert that celebrated Su-metal's 16th birthday.
Su will turn 23 in about a week (on December 20th, 2020).
That venue, Makuhari Messe Event Hall (Mihama, Chiba, Japan) holds about 9,000 people.
Even though the whole concept is the combination of cute JPop/Idol and Metal, this is definitely one of their most pop songs.
Even so, that blast beat gets you. And the whole thing is about 10x heavier live.
They have been joined on stage for this song by members of Korn, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and DragonForce.
Just not all at the same time. : )
As Moa pointed out in a recent interview, Su is really good at imitating her younger singing voice.
That definitely comes into play when they perform this song or 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning'.
Good reaction. This was the video that went viral and got them noticed internationally - largely because it gets a "WTF" reaction when Yui and Moa start their "atatatatatatatata dukyun" and so it got passed around and shared a lot. It is one of the most polarising of all their songs - some people having this as their first experience of BABYMETAL have never listened to them again. They just couldn't get past those first vocals and have missed out on all the other great songs and performances.
The video was filmed at the Legend 1997 show (Su's 16th birthday celebration in December 2013) but the audio is from the studio recording ... which is a shame, the live audio was probably better(and is definitely better at live performances with the Kami Band also playing - they were not on stage yet when they played 'Gimme Chocolate' (for the very first time) at this show - they came on for the 5 encore songs and since the first big shows in 2014 at the Budokan they have been with them ever since for all live shows.
The part near the end where the girls run around Su and put their arms through hers, is a cute moment in the early live shows. Moa always seized this opportunity to gently tug Su's ear causing Su to lose concentration for a moment and give Moa a little scowl. Very cute time of their career with little moments like that.
- "Aww I like when she smiles." 1:54 Moa has such a... what's the word I'm looking for... an infectious smile. Like, her smile lights up the room. One thing I have always liked about her is that she can never stay all serious like the other two. You'll see it often when they're all supposed to have a serious look on their face, Moa always cracks a smile lol
- The "effects" you're referencing are the synth sounds in the song during the heavy riff lol, at least I assume that's what you meant.
_ Yuimetal and Moametal have four songs where it is just them without the lead vocalist (Su-Metal). When it is just Yui and Moa, it is called "Black BABYMETAL" and their songs are so much fun. You should check one out. They are much more than just background singers/dancers, which is what many assume is their only role when they first see BABYMETAL. While the band is centered around Su-Metal's vocals, BABYMETAL doesn't take off without all three of them. The four Black BABYMETAL songs are: "Sis Anger", "GJ", "Song 4/4 No Uta", and "Onedari Daisakusen". "Sis Anger" is considered by many fans as the heaviest song in BABYMETAL's entire discography.
- "Gimme Chocolate" is about a girl who wants to eat more chocolate, but is worried about putting on weight.
- Su-Metal's 23rd birthday is coming up on December 20th, so why not take a look at a few special performances they have done for her birthday in the past! My first birthday recommendation would be "BABYMETAL Death" from the "Legend 1997" Concert. The "Legend 1997" concert was to celebrate Su's 16th birthday. The song "BABYMETAL Death" is what they usually opened their shows with in the past. However, for this particular show they did a special version of it, and it is the wildest way I've ever seen someone celebrate a birthday. The video I am linking for "BABYMETAL Death" DOES have subtitles, so make sure you turn on closed captioning. My second birthday recommendation, is "White Love", which I think they only performed one time as it is a cover song they did for Su at "Legend D" on her 15th birthday. "White Love" is a Su-Metal solo performance. Six months later at "Legend 1999", Yui and Moa were celebrating their 14th birthdays and they did their own solos - Yui did "Chokotto Love", Moa did "Love Machine", but let's not worry about those ones quite yet.

If you do want to see a song where the other two girls sing, search for "Black Babymetal" and choose one of those songs. That is when it is just Yui and Moa, while Su takes a quick breather. Also, you guys should consider doing a reaction video to 'An Unhelpful Guide to Babymetal', as it is an entertaining and educational video that will teach you stuff about Babymetal. There are all sorts of fun clips in that as well.
About Starlight, everyone believe that it was a tribute song for their guitarist Mikio, who passed away earlier that year. It also might be a tribute for Yui too, because the song was launched around Yui's official departure from Babymetal in October 2018.
This is the song that brought them to the world.

The sound is very heavy. The choreo is very tight. Just how much effort went into this...
The two side girls are more prominent in songs in their first album, in songs such as MEGITSUNE, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, or KIMI TO ANIME GA MITAI. Of course, the two has 4 songs without the main singer's involved. :)
I recommend "Catch me if you can" or "Anime ga Mitai" if you want to see Moa and Yui has sing part.

I`, just starting 2 Channels on Twitch and YT and this was the first thought for me @ how comes the sound right to the PPL and the balance from talking to the sound of the Game/Music/Clips.

I try now to do online Jam Sessions with other musicians over the world (@ hard Lockdown in Germany again) so I was even pressed to get into knowlege how to get the best sound. My new equipment should arrive in 2 weeks and then I do a vid about setup for streams for beginners. I`ll give you a link to it then If you are interested. :)
