Well most mistakes are that u keep on doing fair trades instead of looking for kind people who would overpay in my opinion, I've literally done this challenge like 16 times no joke, and was pretty much successful every time.

Just trade it for better items and don't look for trades that would bring you downhill/underpays or fair trades unless people like the items better and would offer better things. Just make trades based on what people would like more, works for me every time.

Basically just compare the values of the item your getting, and the shop prices. You will reach somewhere if you think like this.

The comments below me where really helpful, this happens to me as well, sometimes the servers are bad 😅 Try doing this in different servers and eventually some good trades will happen! :)
