Hey Patrick. Jah I think the general sentiment currently is that people are too scared to put money into the markets due to the volatility we are experiencing. So it can be difficult to encourage others to invest right now. But at least they will then get a free R50 voucher haha. But jah, just continue to invest. I am going to bring out an investment portfolio update video on Thursday where I will go over my thought process in the current market, so hopefully that will help a bit :)
Hi, how do we add beneficiaries. For example if something happens to the investor and there is a large amount on their investment portfolio. How is this situation managed?
When I open a new trade. Say I buy 1000ZAR of A share and the investment costs are 45ZAR. Does the trade open start at -45ZAR? If not, how can we keep track of the investment and the "dis-investment" costs?

Thanks DainMex :)/ Yes I have heard of Frank app. I haven't used it personally but I agree that it is a great way for beginner investors to get started with investing into the stock market, but I personally prefer EE as it offers way more options to invest in. I am planning on making a video comparing EE, Frank, Stash and a couple of other local investment platforms in SA :). I personally invest in crypto as I believe in the future of blockchain technology, but not more than 5% of my investment portfolio. I have a playlist on crypto that you can go check out if you want to learn more :)
Jah I only recently started dabbling in the dark arts of individual stock picking haha. I am backing Purple Group fully because of its innovation and moat, so I am going to RCA every month into it going forward :)
I was looking to invest in the S&P 500 and other indexes - through SYGNIA and also open my TFA through them . However I heard you say in one video to rather use Coreshare , due to currency fluctuation or something . Please advise me if I should use Sygnia , easy equities or coreshare.
The tool sometimes acts rigged. Today Telkom stocks rose 29%. I bought the shares for 4000 rands and EE immediately put my shares at surpringly -7%. An hour later Telkom shares had risen to 29% and my stocks on the other hand went down .16%. This is completely questionable
Paying off high interest debt is definitely a good idea given the current economic conditions :). But you can always open an EE account and just play around with the R100k monopoly money. You will have the exact same experience as investing real money and you will get to know the platform as well ;)
I think that this is one of the most useful channels in SA.
