- Addressable Serial Communication over Powerline
In this videos we present the IC Modem TDA5051 and implementation.
Also we show a full working Setup with Three modems, 1 Master and two slaves.
We present the Connectivity and how it can be used in Home Automation (IOT , M2M)
We also show the software protocol to communicate (Serial , I2C).
For any information please send E-mail: samir.tafesh@gmail.com
Wonderful Mr. Samir, thanks for sharing!
Hi, There , Very Good Job Mr.Samir Tafesh.
thank you
Thank you
Hello, Samir. How many slaves can be run simultaneously with 1 master in the same network? Did you find any information about the tda5051 on this topic?
This is very useful. Thanks. How can I build a circuit which jams the signal of Powerline communication which is used for today's broadband internet?
I found your solution interesting. But I haven't had the opportunity to study PLC yet.
Hello Samir,
Does this work over 3 phase wiring?
Can I connect two of these modems on different phases in my house?
good tutorial sir ! thankyou , actually sir i wanted to know maximum how many devices we can connect using plc and if there are limited number of devices then why so?
thank you, normally we can say there is no limitation, but definitely it depends on the protocol of communication your using, but normally it can connect up to 256 device on a 8 bit addressing mode
Hi Samir, very cool!!! I'm trying to mount a modem too. I would like to know what characteristics of the toroidal transformer you used?
Thank you Alloson
please feel free to send an email, and i will provide you with the full documentation
Ok, my email - alisonjcm13@gmail.com
guys you have got full documentation. if you have please send me asdfq3227@gmail.com
Dear Sir, Please you said the configuration of the inductor coil. Thank you
Hello,U don,t use any transformer on the pcb.U connect the boards over the 220v main or u tested without any power of the 2 wire netwrok?
it is connected to 220v main direclty
Mr. Samir Amazing project, I want to get de schematic of the circuit, where can i find it?
sir i am working on smart metering through power line communication and i have to send data of 3 energy meter to a single meter with descriding the name of unit from which i am recieving this data .
sir i am worried about power line modem
currently i am working on TDA 5051A ask plc sir is it good for my rrequired application or suggest me a appropriate ic which i can use in this project
i shall be thankfull to you
regards
samad farooque
final year electrical enginering stiudent
hi are you using 0v crossing and then sending the data or just sending any time ?
Hi, it is not affected by zero cross, we send every time
Hi Samir, is it possible to communicate through the I2C protocol using that modem?
Hi blueLine, thank you for your message, Frankly i have not tested it with I2C, but there is no objection that it does not work, i will try it once i have a bit of time and i will reply asap
Thank you
Have you done any baud rate tests?
What did the boards cost to produce?
it is up to 1200 baud rate
it cost me about 20$ from local market for the components
hello I see you demostration, very good. It is possible to change hardwareserral to software serial? I need to use any digital port to transmit, thanks
Hello, definitly it is up to your design
@@SamirTafesh my problem is that I only have Arduino UNO, it only have 1 serial port. I don´t known how to change the code to work for softwareserial., thanks
Hello, thank you very much for sharing great material. I went through the datasheet the schematic there are different from the one you used in the slide, and the component names are not really visible. can you please share a download link for the material and the library for the arduino protocol you used?
Dear Yahya, definitly i can send you the material, please send me email samir dot tafesh at gmail dot com
Hi Samir! Please send it to me as well. I have sent you an email already
@@SamirTafesh I send you an email requesting the same.
@@vanessationgson2389 KINDLY sent it to me too if you have received email
@@rodrigotavarez7582 KINDLY sent it to me too if you have received email
Hi Samir, any update about this project?
Hello!
Could you upload the documentation and source codes in electronic form?
Or make me 3 pieces
Do you have a git repo for this project?
Hi,
What do think about ST7590?
hello,
it is a good chip, and works good
Hello Samir, Im interested to do this project you have some documentation or diagram that you can share?? Im curious about this project
Can contact me by this email

hi.their.unique idea.can u send schematic diagram.components names.wiring diagram.
I send you a email, thanks you for help
HI Samir, really nice work, thanks for sharing it
Recently I was interested in the powerline modules, I had found on the internet something like KQ-130F of www.kq100.com, cost about $ 8-10, but have a component in the "blackbox", not suitable for professional use. I ask only one question on the solution based on the TDA5051 chip, if you can answer me, how many slave modules and a single master can be connected on the same dedicated line? The application is a lighting controller.
Thanks again!
Hi marco, thank you for your message, Normally, you can connect as much slaves as you want,
Why? Because All the clients receive the messages, and only the targeted one will take action
Thanks
hello samir i want of power line Communication can you help me
Hello please send me an email, and i will reply back with all the documentation
Hello! I did poorly understand English. At the maximum distance information is passed
I have tested it on about 400m
by 400m do you mean the length of a wire 400m long?
Yes, i have tested it on a 400 meter cable
thank you sir but can you please reply to my email.
