#NewYorkCity #NYC #licenseplate
So if someone with authority did this they would have an easy job. Just walk down the street and write tickets. Not that that's ever going to happen.
This is what I was thinking $100,000,000 merge it into traffic enforcement hire a few people and start collecting money. 1st time a fine second time a tow third time legal action with a Hugh fine.
Like the illegals are gonna pay a fine.😂
Ikr I see these plates all the time in the Bronx and nothing seems to happen with them
This man is really tempting fate eventually someone will catch him
He trolling those criminals
Why for enforcing the laws the "heroes" are breaking and refuse to enforce?
And what are they going to accuse him of?
They’re gonna easily hurt this vigilante
So the license plate cheats aren't tempting fate but "he" is???
NYC needs a woman like my 95 year old neighbor who sits outside and yells at people speeding down our street.
I thought there were laws against vandalizing or covering up your own license plate and that the penalty would be like 5x a traffic ticket... I guess not?
Only illegal if you get caught?
First it isn't vandalism. Second this may come as a surprise but those plates don't belong to you or the owner of the car. They are in fact state property. Defacing them or making them illegible is a crime.
Has to be proven
@@ygrittesnow1701Since the plates are state property, defacing them is vandalism. Get your facts right.
Someone is probably going to take this guy out
So let’s review, 2nd or 1st degree murder versus being an honest and responsible vehicle owner. Choices.
@@DBRising Organized crime is a thing
Right
It's all fun and games until you wind up in a luggage bag
Boeing?
@@MrGriff305Sure. We see them driving around in our tax payer paid cars all the time. The mafia didn't disappear they absorbed into law enforcement.
Batman protected Gotham City*
Yeah gotham city is technically in new jersey
More like SF
Gotham is another name for *checks notes* New York City.
Gotham City is a fictional city inspired by New York City.
His name is Kuntzman, not Batman. hahahahah
you want to know what cost NYC a lot more than 100 million.....
Illegal aliens!
CITY NEEDS TO OFFER AN INCENTIVE AND WE WIL CALL IN AND REPORT REPORT REPORT.....PAY 🤑 ME ILL SNITCH
Clearly seen here why police don't really do anything about these ghost plates... The cops amd politicians are doing it themselves.
Idk what cops get paid but I hear it’s barely enough
You're admitting this isn't about safety, but about generating revenue when you say revenue is down.
This what I be talking about how come we have to follow the rules but they don’t I see cops all the time with tinted plates
New York seems to be obsessed with ghosts. Ghost plates, ghost guns, ghost scooters. ghost up the ying yang
Who ya going to call? Ghostbusters.
He needs to be careful!
2:19 That's how you unveil corruption. Citizen enforcement leads to conflict with entitled officials.
It’s worse in Florida. Half the cars down here have NY plates 😂
Why does not the city simply impound those car?
Because they are caught on a camera? the camera can not chase them.
@@anthonybeaudry1547 The same way this guy find them.
Spaces
Why does the city have to punish drivers who need to drive there.
For the same reason doctors don’t cure people
It would cost a whole lot less than $100 Million to bring back the Meter Maids to check the license plates as they drive down the streets, it would also bring in more money with the cost of fines they will have to pay.
Lawsuits for bad cops.
1st offense, $ fine. 2nd offense, forfeit your vehicle.
All they need to do is have traffic enforcement, pull people over for expired and doctored plates, have the parking enforcement officers ticket them as well. If they cannot read the plates at all to identify for ticket, impound the vehicle. This will stop quickly.
The problem is, and I see it in the Bay Area also, is that traffic enforcement has slowed to nil in the last couple years, I see people driving without plates entirely.
It's just as illegal for this guy to go around "fixing" plates as for the vehicle owner in obscuring them. He's a Karen.
Why are you defending the plate owners?
@@lamartruth6601 Show me where I did.
Is Lander actually suggesting that law enforcement officers might turn violent on citizens who want the laws enforced? (3:35)
I mean ticketing cameras should be illegal anyway.
There's far more pressing issues my tax money should be going towards
In some States they want to ban those cameras statewide.
In Philly these speed cameras are being installed on high injury network roads and at intersections where people frequently run red lights. The reason these roads are high injury is because people speed on them, so speed cameras are a good thing.
Somebody gonna hurt him smh like my auntie from Mississippi said mind your own you'll live longer
Easy solution, require legible legitimate uncovered plates with large fines for those who do not comply. Then get the parking enforcement to seek out these vehicles when parked, identify the cars and fine the owners. Revenue creator. Ignore the violations 3x and then impound the car until compliant. Prior similar violation ups the fine amount.
Yup
Yeah just $1000 fine for fraudulent /obscured license plate should fix it
Maybe even harsher fines for city officials, to show them that they are not above the law and should know better?
I would've thought that ' trusted ' civil servants would incur increased scrutiny.
After all, if they 'doctor' their license plates, what else are they 'doctoring'?
NYPD SPOKESPERSON response is recited out of a policy book😂
Give that man a badge and a title
His title is KUNTZMAN
Maybe it requires a genius to figure the problem is growing bigger because there is nobody ENFORCING the law ???
sometimes you need to go above the law when it becomes inadequate.
When the government fails to do the job they are hired to do they abdicate the powers granted to them by the citizens and it becomes the duty of the citizens.
Corruption
Speeding and redlight cameras are dumb and funding should not be based on collecting fees. They aren't costing them anything they are denying them free money they don't deserve. Stop skyrocketing executive pay, bring manufacturing home and leverage automation to allow us all to work less and get paid more.
If the police don't follow the law and there is no consequence, why should anyone follow it? I live in Ohio and if you mess with your license plates like that your car would be towed and you would be explaining yourself to a judge.
as a fellow Ohioan 🙌 my thoughts exactly.
I’ve been wanting to do something very much like this.
As for the plates where the numbers or letters are not viewable, I have a suggestion
Give the cars owner a ticket. If they replace the plates, it is a NO FEE replacement, and the ticket is forgiven.
I am absolutely certain, these people will claim that the plate was defective, and they didn’t cause the damage. I don’t believe if for an instant.
I’ve owned provably 40-50 cars in my lifetime. Never once has a plate had this issue. Growing up in Seattle, freeways had no fees to travel. I don’t think I ever saw this problem, driving between 1982 and 2000.
In 2000 I moved to Wisconsin. I began seeing it, mostly in the last 5 years. Now I see it EVERY SINGLE DAY. plates in cities close to the Illinois border, so many I lose track. I suspect that these people are frequently crossing the border and do it solely to avoid the fees.
The solution: when the new plate very soon somehow fails, they get refined for the previous charges, as well as the new one.
Next offense, car impounded.
As for the fake paper plates.
I so very want to use a fluorescent rattle can on the back of their car to highlight the past dated fake paper plates.
Do you know if your governor just made it mandatory that when your plates are A problem. You have to replace them. Whether it be age or a car accident. Vandalism doesn’t matter. If the license plate is not readable your car is towable. You stick it in peoples heads you’re gonna tow that car for a worn out license plate that is unreadable. You’ll be able to make a change. License plate modified you could tell the vehicle away. The paint on your plate has come off the city can tow the vehicle. common sense laws. Nothing extravagant nothing costly. Just simple requirements. You can’t follow those they tow the car.
Could start by arresting them for vandalizing state property. Those plates are the property of the state not the owner of the car.
The difference is that speeding kills people and this guy’s “vandalism” is bothering criminals.
Hire a State SWAT team and their only task is to impound vehicles. Sell at auction.
Not Spiderman, not Batman, but Kuntz-Man from New York City.
Can't just the cops issue $1,000 fines when they spot a car with altered license plates? Once word gets around of that, this will stop.
that would require them to do their Jobs, which takes away from their usual work of showing up late, shrugging their shoulders, and never following up when you report a crime
I don't care if the cities losing Revenue through tickets and for this ex tabloid dude he should mind his own business don't go around touching other people's property
wow honestly what the heck...there is NO law enforcement in New York??? Im from South Texas, (Democrat don't worry) I never had a ticket for not showing the front license plate because I follow all laws all times, but this happened when I purchased a Tesla Model 3, the second day when I got the metal plates, I installed the one in the back and I was waiting for a device purchased on line to avoid installing the front plate holder with double sided 3m tape which is what Tesla provides...I GOT A FRICKING TICKET RIGHT AWAY!! IT WAS IF THE POLICE WAS JUST WAITING FOR ME TO LEAVE THE HOUSE WITHOUT THE FRONT PLATE!! SO what the heck how can people do that in New York????
Batman was from Gotham not New York.
Good job bro he should start a log book to catch repeat offenders
Hes doing what we all need to do call out BS ❤
Too many people taking advantage
Nooo City needs to offer an Incentive and ppl with willingly Report them..What you can do now is if you see a parked car with Fake plates. GET THE LOCATION, AND CAR MODEL AND REPORT IT TO 311 ONLINE OR OVER THE PHONE
Yup! Preach! Let's police our own city and they SHOULD give incentives! So ppl are more proactive and we police our police! Maybe then they'll remember they're public servants not overlords! It stops when the people start!
What about a city taking advantage of its own citizens and gouging them at any chance they get?
A crook can’t rob a crook
@@user-xv5zm7uh2l thats not true lol
Tolls, fines, inflation, now congestion pricing… the cost of living is already so high, people are tired.
If you are a government employee and do this, you should no longer be a government employee. It does NOT make you above the law!
New York is known for Batman?
One of NYC's nicknames is Gotham City
Why would we need to bust honest people ? That's an oxymoron .
I’ll start doing this in Ontario Canada… The police does not care at all, all they care is getting donuts and coffee and getting paid…
This guys playing with fire😢
Maybe the city should stop gouging and punishing drivers because they have to drive into town.
It’s an epidemic . Ontario Canada . Fine isn’t large enough , forfeiture of offending vehicles. Someone gets hit, dies,no culprit. Then what ? Let insurance know offenders in all traffic traps, Insurance rates will reflect infractions . It’s their business being affect
Think they got bigger issues 😂😂
This guy is the true embodiment of Russell from the cartoon Recesses
enforce the laws already there!
Because focusing on crimes with victims would be too much to ask.
Good luck getting the cops to do anything unless a black guy is behind the wheel
Jay z ain't getting hassled by no cops... that's for white people
I didn’t like the idea that he actually takes stuff off of peoples cars but when I watch this, he’s kind of like a superhero. 😎👍
A scene of a street was shown and I didn’t see a speed limit sign so what is the speed limit in the city?
Why does a tax paying resident care so much about fake tags.
A state loving traitor.
Probably because he's bored and has nothing else to do. The man needs a hobby.
3:30 That's a how drug cartels threaten citizen. They are not direct, they are subtle, they talk about there will be consequences but they don't give details of it. A very passive aggressive way to ask people not to get involved.
The best thing they could do to reduce these tactics, is just to reduce the ticketing.
Fines probably cheaper then being charge over a 100 dollars a day in tolls.
It's also known for Karens and tyranny.
Before i start my car i check my plate to enure it is altered. Just an item on a check list to keep big brother out my business.
NYC police should be cracking down on the practice of obscuring plates in any way, shape, or form. It should be easy for them to spot any plates that are intentionally obscured. Anyone caught doing so should get a $5K fine. One of the plates in this video was COMPLETELY covered over. Some of them didn't have rear plates AT ALL. Seriously, how does anyone get away with that for any length of time without being pulled over? If that doesn't get an officer's attention nothing will. They also said a lot of the offender plates were on cars owned by city officials. Shame on them. Every single one of these people should be fined and publicly identified. The city purports to hold all of their employees accountable but obviously that's not happening or they wouldn't be obscuring their plates. "Accountability for thee, but not for me."
Maybe they are charging more than People can afford. I’m not defending them. I hadn’t even thought about my license plate because it’s not much money.
Just another example of how badly Adams is running the city.
The mayor is not doing what I voted him in to office to do
I think license plate laws should be enforced better. I see tons of faded plates, discolered, or just covered up. Most of the time, it looks obviously defaced, especially if you compare it to their front plate. Also, in states that require them, the front license plate should be enforced as well.
To alleviate the burden on taxpayers, I think the dmv, or whichever department issues plates, should offer free replacement of worn-out plates, like once every 5-8 years or so.
NYC so bad Batman said forget Gotham!
This guy is gonna wind up missing one Day. It's not his job or place to be doing this. Let law enforcement do their job.
One man with a sharpie is doing what thousands of paid law enforcement officials and city officials are refusing to do despite it being their job of enforcing the law. This would be the easiest task for parking enforcement officials to start writing tickets that are well deserved. This Good Samaritan does this briefly while on his way to work, imagine if a cop doing traffic enforcement with a full 8-12 hr shift ahead could catch.
This dude is brave… I know MANY people that if they found this guy with a marker at their car he’d be found layin in a puddle… use caution bro use caution ⚠️
The focus lies primarily on financial matters, presenting yet another approach to increase taxation on the American population.
My Guy!
Batman was from Gotham, right?
Naw man! Batboy was from Gotham. Batman was from the South Bronx. 😎😎😎
Well after everything I've seen on TV about NEW YORK CITY I know for a fact that I will never visit your city in my lifetime. Way too much Corruption for me to handle
Good
Fraudulent licenses plates don’t matter if the state troopers are in the subway.
Those cars with fake plates belong to the troopers in the subway.
This guy is going to be on the news again soon!
I can't wait until he messes with the wrong person!
Obscured plates should be cause for Civil Asset Forfeiture of the vehicle as they are obviously committing crimes.
Pilice department should be background checked a little deeper
It is a money grab for the city. Many of those cameras are in areas away from schools.
Not sure why people find it so difficult to obey speed laws in school zones??
Automobiles are expensive enough, smh
Impound the cars for 30 days
You know how we say protect _____ at all costs? This isn't one of those people
Get your head busted over nothing.
If it is about saving lives why our infrastructure is like in 3 rd World Countries despite having the most expensive tolls in the world!?
It's interfering with their ability to shake you down.
Guess what the bums are still in the train stations
Numours times I have sent messages for him to contact me no word he said I cleaned up the transit system of bums
I love obsessed people.
It’s hard to care when people on both sides of a story are boot licking narcs.
I would do that in garages next the the court house. Leave the average joes alone batman.
Is that man still alive?
Gotham City was located in South Jersey in the comics. Not NYC.
Comes down to safety...... No... It's all about revenue! 0:49 "Costing New Yorkers a lot of money"... Don't we already pay enough in taxes?
Laws need to be passed that governs the governors. If citizen in a position of authority is violating, the very thing they are in charge of there should be stiffer penalties. If a fireman commit arson, the penalties should not be the same as Joe Q Citizen. But that's just one guy's opinion.
Dangerous
