Not destroyed, it was fixable. The repairs and transit would have put him getting back down the Mexico around two days before the race, and that was if everything went right.
The AWD trucks do squat pretty hard under heavy throttle inputs because the front tires torque the rest of the chassis down behind it. I really don't think this characteristic is gonna benefit Robbie's driving style at all.(hence the crash) I truly believe that if Robbie was the only two wheel drive truck in an all 4wd race,he would be completely capable of winning. I he doesn't break the truck he is driving, he almost always wins. I'm not a huge fan but statistics don't lie...... But mark my words....He will have alot of issues if he keeps racing in an AWD trophy truck,it's just that simple.

@@gunnerkolb2066 I don't know. Robby's TT is/was very unique. It's a mid engine design. All the other competitive TT's are front engine. The mid-engine might lend itself well to 4wd, so I could see that being the layout. Need to go to RDC and see if Robby is talking. If he's hasn't yet, he eventually will.

I heard it was totaled due to a bolt failure on the rear trailing arm. Such a bummer. I think I’ll check the bolts on my rear suspension.

Why won't a truck like this work as a Dakar truck
Dakar has rules, for 4wd vehicles, you can't have big tires (max 31") and long travel suspensions. (max 10").
They clipped the end of this off just b4 he lost it......this truck is totally out of commission now.
