    The Trango Cinch is such a classic tool. I think its one of the best devices for any lanyard, every movement is so smooth. This needs to make a comeback. I am still using mine.

    Great job with the competition, I like you're honesty, you left the mistakes in many people will edit them out. Hey thats how you learn and get better.
    I have never done a climb comp but I know what ya were feeling u shoot action pistol (ispic) and know all to well when you know that you made a mistake you think about the people watching.. I've been shooting comps for about 18 years you learn to relax the nerves butt let the adrenalin flow so ya go like a mad dog..
    Different sport same feelings.

      It definitely takes a few comps to learn to calm the nerves, especially if you are competitive. I posted the video mistakes and all because I think people will learn more by the mistakes being highlighted. Thanks for your comment dude

    Awesome video, beautiful climb, would have really helped me before my first comp. Couple of questions. Did they ding you points for the slack lanyard? Ding points for broken watersprout? Finally, ding for no warning on dropping rope tail without warning? I know this is all picky, but every point counts in these comps, as you know. Thanks again for the awesome videos!

    Fun video, I envy your agility. I know that there are 'rescue competitions' as well, where a competitor needs to ascend a tree to bring down an unconscious injured climber. It would be a good topic for a training video, if you're looking for a video subject that might one day save a life. Any crew is safer if there is somebody on the ground who can step up if required.

    I have a question for ya. You offer drone recovery for the people that crash in trees. How did you get that out or do the customs just call cuz of the tree work
    Like I I do tree work but wouldent mind helping people get there drones out of the tops.. Well for a price lol.

    • @davyoh8986
      @davyoh8986 5 лет назад +1

      I can see this being included in service list in the tree industry in the future. I belong to a drone club and as a tree worker I have recovered dozens of my buddies drones high up in the tree. They are actually taking me to the cleaners cuz a tree service would either charge alot or laugh at their faces.

    Great job! What type of system are you using? You ascended easily and without tending Slack. I'm old school because that's how I was taught. Blake's hitch and a leynard the majority of time. Very seldom do I need two ropes for climbing, but sometimes it is nice.

    At 4:20 PM you failed to tension of your lanyard you Then write a comment in for the ignorant ones LOL you’re the best brother but don’t worry there are highly skilled people watching

    • @ClimbingArborist
      @ClimbingArborist  5 лет назад +4

      Thanks for commenting bro, this is the exact reason this point is being highlighted, because it should have been tensioned up as the comment in the video says 'I should have tensioned up my lanyard at this point, it hangs a little loose'. I'm making a point that this is a mistake on my part and others can learn from it

      Climbing Arborist it’s the very few that say intricate things like that you can’t understand you’re dealing with someone that loves it just as much as you do every time I have spare time I’m down in the Batcave reconfiguring some kind of a climbing system someway somehow some shape or form three years ago I had nobody but RUclips you got me through a lot of difficult questions now that I have gained a lot of knowledge I just see the little things now happy Sunday my brother always great talking to you
