There was a need for bands like this in the late 70s and onward. The whole scene opened a lot of people’s eyes including mine. Today, especially in Britain, something similar should be happening. Suffice to say the government are lying to us over everything but generally people are either too lazy or too ignorant about what they’re doing. To me the whole anarcho punk scene was more a lifestyle. And in the shitty little town I lived in, not so far from Bishop's Stortford, a lot of us utilised the knowledge we’d acquired from Crass, Flux etc. i used to go to Bowes Lyon occasionally but spent most of my time in London, better than the aforementioned shithole.
Through the medium of the Internet, I’d like to thank Flux for one of my all time favourite gigs and I’d like to thank Crass for another great gig. There are too many to mention but Zounds, the Mob, DIRT and Rubella Ballet were always a good night out.
Just read that back, comes across as bullshit, take it or leave. I’m not fussed.
So glad I heard this early on in the US. I was AND AM an SF punk but something about this scene could make me feel the urgency, the, love, the dedication of our UK compatriots . Will never grow old for me. I remember even my mom loved tube disasters and would rock out whenever she heard me cranking it.
Flux of pink indians.1 of the best ANARCHIST PuNK bands .they were awesome live...😎🏴🏴 A.N.O.K. and peace.no war but class war 🏴🏴 tube disaster..I love tube disaster"s

we put too much flanging on the "earhole" recording Andys guitar sounds weak
Was my guitar Jon, i loved it and wanted to use it on Neu Smell "Background" but Penny said something like it was "hippyish"... So it wasn't used.
@@neilpuncher63 Penny ‘there’s no authority but yourself’ Rimbaud 😂😂
@@Essexgeezer 😂😂😂😂😂exactly
@@neilpuncher63 I have heard similar from Colsk and Kev.
@@Essexgeezer Penny did a digital remix of "Feeding" , Pete came round to mine with a copy and asked my opinion , I said it sounded weak and lacked musicality , Pete went back to Penny with our observations , he released it any way .
Just brilliance...but CRASS were their mentors..!!
Definitely an influence, but the Epileptics were magnificent in their own right too.
