Break the Ice Camp

⛸Our 'Break the Ice' Camp took place June 14-16, 2021 at the Huntsville Ice Sports Center in Huntsville, AL.This camp was geared towards first time skaters! We did lots of fun activities both on and off ice over the 3 days. Each day started with a short off-ice warm up followed by an hour lesson coached by our HSSTA staff. The skaters then had an opportunity to participate in various arts & crafts activities.This camps' craft time was lead by Coach Ginger. She taught the campers how to make her famous Strawberry jam and create their own tie dye T-shirt's that they got to take home as mementos! We finished up each day by hopping back on the ice to practice for the parents' recital performance which was held on the last day of camp!
🔔 The HSSTA will be having another Summer Camp- Our 'Class Camp Intensive' from July 12-14th. This camp will be geared towards Basic Skill level skaters who are already enrolled or have been enrolled in Learn to Skate classes with us. These campers will have the opportunity to participate in some of the same fun on and off ice activities our previous campers enjoyed plus more advanced on-ice instruction!
