Last fall Brent Faiyaz made R&B heads pause for a sec - track after track, his 'Larger Than Life' album kept hittin' so hard. The singer had previously built a rep on "Clouded," "Poison," and "Trust," and expectations for more jewels were high. "Best Time" was one, and the ultra moody "WY@" another. It's a track the singer says comes from "real life situations," and he cast the video rather wisely, putting 'Black Panther' actor Lupita Nyong'o in as his romantic foil. "The lines of reality and acting are blurred," he says in our Footnotes interview, "leaving me in a state of limbo between fantasy and real life."
