Solitude Fun Fact of the Day: Scott McKenzie had the idea to write 'Kokomo' for 'The Beach Boys' after visiting Solitude in spring 1987. This is the main reason why Kokomo can not be found in the Carribean. He was forced by the record company to change the lyrics from 'Solitude quays' to 'Floria Keys', which started the confusion.
It still throws me not hearing the auridon music 🤣 Loving the vibe you’re building along the seafront - who needs hotel DLCs when you have your detailing! The fairground was a really cute touch that gives that hint of realism Also I looove using the hearts of korea housing for these kinds of towns, they’re so ideal. I do generally tweak the number of households in them though, they’re way off!

Banding with the local tribe Captain Condi and his crew formed rich settlements throughout the island. The beach was eventually established as “Condi’s Landing” or “Tulaueleele o Condi” as the locals call it.
Amazing build as always. Love the old town and then the ‘new town’ tourist area, reminds me of lots of places I’ve been on holiday. Would love to visit Solitude!
One thing I see in Bali that could work here, a hotel on the beach having the stage with bands and can use the zones to be able toggle fireworks at night. Love your work as usual ❤🎉
OOOOO a poolside tiki bar jutting right out of the side of the hotel facing that pooldeck would be perfect for that gorgeous hotel yard with all the cabanas. wanna sit there with a maitai myself 🍹
Town name that would fit is "Horseshoe Bay". This would hark back to the original small cove shape that was there before a town was developed and has an old original feel to it and offers some historic relevance before the population arrived. Think along the lines of where folk from the fields would come to at weekends so they would swim in the bay on their limited downtime
The tiny details bring everything to life. Loving the realistic beach town, and I can’t wait to see what you add with the upcoming resorts dlc. Also, I think a small back would fit in perfectly next to the post office to serve the community and tourists (ATM access).
Another GREAT build. I was very happy to see another Solitude episode this morning. Beautiful details as always. I don't know if you'll actually need to use it, but have you considered using RICO to adjust the number of homes or function of the buildings? Those strip malls can be turned into commercial instead of unique buildings if you plan to use them more than once. You can also up the number of homes in the beach condos to match the number of floors and windows they have. Of course that also ups the traffic, but you wouldn't have to have much sprawl either.
Very nice selection of beachfront assets and also the modern single-family houses look really well. I love the pool area at the back of the hotel, that feels almost like its own diorama 😍 I wonder if you could keep using the same - or mostly the same - set of amusement assets in other town and even downtowns, like the fair is indeed traveling across the different towns in the area. I love the 'crammed in' look and feel of the fair and the short first-person look was great. Looking forward to the hillside mansions now.

I would even consider putting the souvenir shop into the bottom of the hotel or the residential building next to the police? Kind of pretending that this building is mixed use, which is realistic for a touristy-waterfront.
Gutted that I missed the prem but life happens (even to me sometimes😅) Don't get me wrong I absolutely loved Auridon but can I have a little hut around here? 😊 Just my kind of vibe, sunshine, beaches, low density ❤ Loved all the fewsing and the level of detail is mind-blowing, you really are one of a kind! I don't understand how you can raise and lower props, trees, and the decals. It will not do that for me at all. I also can't place a decal without it covering the entire decal space, when it's done on here it just fills in the space desired and the roads and such are not impacted
Did you listen to the music as you were plopping your stuff, cause it seems you did this to the music i e disco roads waltzing at 27:00 the ferns at 33:00 go round and round with drum rolls the people come in at 33:50 with an upbeat, your lazy chairs go plop plop plop with drum beats and the classic of all happens at 35:20 1 2 3 4 5 dont say that wasnt timed! I imagine tinkerbell with her wand tapping things to make them appear with nutcracker music.
