Screen printing on camo can be tough, but it doesn't have to be. This is how to screen print on camo the right way and the easy way
You can always use silicone ink as well.
thank you for sharing these tips...
Happy to help
do a video on the donut probe. is it worth the price
great tutorial great work awesome
Thanks!
By the way , is there any tool that helps in loading the tshirt on platten correctly to prevent tilted prints 🙈🙈
No there isn't. It really just takes a lot of practice and figuring out a few tricks
Lee Stuart thanks for the message, hope you do a video with some tricks regarding loading tshirts on platten to avoid tilted prints ... 🙏🙏
Luv your channel list subscribe to it were did u get that hoodie from I couldn't catch it when u said the name... great channel learning a lot 💥
Thanks 🤘🏻. It's linked in the description
Keep it up man
Great video Lee. Very well presented. Keep it up mate. Thank you
Thanks!
you honestly inspired me to work on my brand, thanks
Great to hear!
Dtg or laser!
Double nope
Always with the fresh B-roll. You’re crushin it.
Thanks dude 👊🏻
Hey Lee, can you tell me what is that piece of equipment who project a red light on your palette? Thank u and beautiful job!
It's the laser alignment from
Ryonet
Lee Stuart Hello mate..hope you're well.
I just popped by to see if I could order one of these camo hoodies for my eldest son for Christmas 🎄 I know its a bit late but thats generally what I do lol... anyway they're all out of stock 😔 when will you have some more please mate... in time for Christmas ...not in time for Christmas
And all the way in the UK too... I know don't shout at me 😛
Sorry man these have been sold out for quite a while. I don't know if I'll be doing them again or not
@@leestuart38 Well I personally think you should definitely do some more mate ..they're spot on.
I'll just tell him Santa's not real 😛
Sick video brother! You are so inspiring and I am so pumped to see what you have planned!
Thanks a lot dude
🤘💀🤘 ya fuck I want one of those hoodies!
Hell yeah, can't wait to see whats in store 😎
It’s some rad shit dude 🤘
@@TonyLoewen wouldn't expect nothing less from you guys 🤙🏼
Hi, I plan on using those hoodies for my clothing brand and every screen printing shop around me seems to be charging way too much to order and print it. can you please tell me how much you paid for the blank and how much the printing cost or how much you think is a fair price I should pay to not get ripped off. PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW, THANKS
I was looking to get some independent hoodies but I don’t screen print and mainly use plastisol transfers. Do you think plastisol transfers would do the job?
I’m trying to have all my bases covered before I make a giant order lol.
man you really need to create some course on all this printing stuff! You've got shit ton of knowledge 😀
I'll be dumping as much info as I can for free on here, always
@@leestuart38, that rocks for sure! But was thinking like a congruent type of a class.
What is the exact model of your Epson printer?
P400
@@leestuart38 thanks :)
Nice! I printed on those same hoodies with DTG printer and had the same problem but they did not look bad!!
You got any hoodies left
Just 2XL. I might make them again in black camo though
Tight.
Like a tiger
Very Nice
Have you tried the Fn ink on 50/50 blend shirts?
I haven't yet. I don't think I'd risk it though even with the lower cure temp, 50/50 blends can dye migrate pretty easily
Do you treat that layer like a white base and choke up on it or just straight print over
You should avoid using heavy chokes on this stuff, I always try to stack them without.
Hey Lee can I ask what is the film used and spray for checking registration @ 3:37?
It's just clear vinyl application tape
@@leestuart38 is the spray turps?
Can’t thank you enough for this one!!!
Glad to help 🤘🏻
I have that same dryer and I’m doing these same hoodies, what setting did you have it set to for this if you can remember?
Two things I don't share are exposure times and dryer settings, because what works here most likely won't work there. There are far too many factors involved to give a proper setting like ink deposit thickness, flash temp and time, and even the relative temperature and humidity in your space. All of this stuff can greatly effect if your print is cured properly or not. You really need to get a temperature gun at the very least, and do stretch and wash testing to get your dryer dialed in properly
@@leestuart38 yeah I use a temp gun, just figured I’d compare your settings with mine for a baseline to start on the ind. hoodies with F’N ink. Thanks for the info!
The the FN, the most important thing is dwell time. A lot of people were thinking once it hits 260 it's good to go, which is definitely not the case. Get as much dwell time as you can at that temp or a little over like 280, which in this dryer I can get around 20-30 seconds depending on the setup. Dwell time is everything when curing
@@leestuart38 thanks dude, sublimated garments don’t get ordered through my shop often, so on these I’m just trying to avoid misprints on them if possible as the camo independents specifically aren’t cheap haha.
@@leestuart38 hey brotha ok so I just printed that batch of hoodies and they came out perfect. Heat set to 65 on the dryer and speed to 29. Pre heated them through the dryer then 3 hits of f’n white with no blocker base. Stretch tested no cracking. Thanks for the prior info. These hoodies are dope but always been hesitant to print on camo.
Your a super hero! haha THANKS!!
Along these lines, how do you lay down ink on tie dye? Great video....super sharp hoodie!
If it's a cotton shirt, you shouldn't have any issues with tie dye migrating. You can use a low cure ink to be safe
What brand is ur flash dryer
Ryonet 👍🏻
You are still my hero.
i found the other ID darker Camo shrinks a lot in the wash. does this one?
Depends on which model. If you're using the midweight, they tend to shrink and run small. These are the heavyweight which don't I find
Hey what mesh did you use for the white? Did you keep it the same as the underbase or did you go up in mesh? Thanks!
Went up to probably a 160. I don't remember exactly but definitely didn't use a 110 on that
So happy you did this video, Lee. I did this exact process- same hood, same armor grey, same 156 mesh- absolutely miserable experience. Ink blobs on one side of the print, completely clogged in others on the same hit. I spent hours chasing it, never got it. Still don't know what I did wrong. LOL
Sounds like off contact and squeegee control is your problem there. This stuff is real thick and a lot harder to work with, takes a bit of practice to figure out
Awesome and thanks for the tutorial ❤️ would you kindly share the link for the temperature measurement!!! That you use ... I couldn’t catch up it’s name 🙈, thanks 🙏
Another sick video as always, informative and funny as shit! Keep it going!💕💕
Thanks man
I’d love to see some of those 80’s designs
There's some good stuff we're sitting on still 😎
Lee Stuart can’t wait to see it
Please do testing on a shitty poly camo..
Same exact process
I got the neck label pack already V2 hell yeah 😁🤘
Hell ya!
just joined skillshare, cool stuff available indeed! Thanks
It's super good. I love it on there
You cant just use a traditional white plasticol that uses bleach blockers in it? i used that for all my polyester
Low bleed inks will still bleed in a lot of cases, especially on polyester
Awesome vid as always!! hahaha loved the bloopers at the end 😂
Thanks!
Great vid man ! Uh oh new Equipment ? Going DTG ?
Never 🤣
always quality
What about working with halftones ,one ink is for beginners, thanks, saludos from Mejico Tenochtitlan.
Hey lee...
I just want to know what are kinds of inks you use?
They are mentioned multiple times in this video, and listed in the description...
Immediate like with cat pics 🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍👍 the design are 🔥🔥 the outtakes glad no camera were harmed in the making
Just a quick question regarding your artwork set up - did you choke the under base at all with this ink?? Nice vid as always 👌
Yes the underbase is always choked a little
I just learned this one the hard way too, half the run came out perfect then once I changed to a different size started bleeding bad. I just ordered the barrier base stuff do you choke that under white like an under base? How would you set up the artwork? Thanks in advance .
Yup, choke it under the top white just the same as a base
I started watching just a couple months ago. We’re you always screen printing or did you also vinyl print and heat press before screen printing?
I do both, but the videos have always been about screen printing. I plan on doing some vinyl stuff soon
@@leestuart38 dopeee cant wait to watch
$80 for a hoodie? Well they are sold out so guess the price is right.
That's also Canadian dollars
What mesh do you use for most of your screens?
I use what the job needs. Screen printers should have a selection mesh counts to do things properly. 110, 156, 180, 230, 280, and 305 are absolute staples
I've always wondered why the desert camo chocolate chip is so expensive an rare like supreme an other brands charge so much an it looks like a simple pattern to do also duck camo is expensive and rare to anyone know why it makes no sense
It doesn't make sense, it's the same $20 hoodie I'm using here
Lee, it the at hat you are wearing a high resolution screen print?
No it's a heat transfer
hello, please, what coarseness of the sieve do you use on the barrier and white? white used by Union INKS diamond white?
the danger zone clip - made me think of MASTER CYLINDER. lol. great stuff as always and definitely will be lookin to see about a hoodie if they are still there.. cheers sir.
Love from India
