This arcade game brings so many teenage memories. Now the first time I played it was at a liquor store I believe I spent like $5 trying to get to the final boss. The second time was at the Arcades next to the Jr. high school I used to attend. I still remember one morning ditching school and going back at lunchtime. Since I wasn’t on Track for vacation I had to leave quickly and I met up with my friends at a house party.
Notice how all arcade games from the latter half of the 80s sound like the Genesis (with Yamaha YM synth-y sounds) and new arcade platforms in the 90s sound like the Super Nintendo (with sample-based sounds).

I would play this for hours. It's been 30 + years since I last played it. I hear the music and come back.
brings back memories where you at to leave your house with friends and pop to local arcade to av fun and video games these days kids are basically in their bedroom 24/7 playing online lol 😕
you know im no millenial nor a child of the 21st century im a grown 34 year old man born and raised in 1985 and i can't believe im going to say this but i guess you can call this game dare i say the electronic arts game for the ps4,x-box and pc the a way out of the 80s due to both have prisoner escape plots except this game actully has a single-player mode so no need to strictly play 2-player co-op only unlike a way out and there's no reason to strike me guys for saying that im just talking about a simple food for thought about relising the similarites between the two games which again for this game there's a legit single-player mode in addition to having two-player co-op nothing more are we cool ?
AND THATS MY ULTIMATUM SIMPLY CHECKING BACK WITH HAGGER TIL WE CATCH UP IN ATLANTIC CITY DOUBLE DRAGON CASTLEVANIA ROYX ROYX GORO and they let the president's daughter go and the armies of darkness retreat syndicism sets new city street ordinance

This game was a quarter muncher. So many instant kill situations....
