WOW! That breakdown is brutal! As a Gen X that hear my age people (57) always say that new music sucks and everything was better back in the day, You are so wrong!!! There is so much badass music out there and this is for sure one of my favorites in 2024 so far. Awesome song and I love this! Great work guys!! Love from Sweden! 💙💛💙
Bro, I have the same experiences. I know a lot of people my age and they have been stuck on the same music for the last 30, 40 years. Still Motörhead forever and all that. Why should I listen to stuff I already was a fan of long ago? Yawn. Unlike them I still go to concerts (seeing Infected Rain next month, Ankor and Dead Poet Society the month after) and try to stay informed on what goes on. That way I can still experience the adrenalin rush of discovering a new and fantastic band. But I guess as a musician myself I have a different view on the topic. Music is everchanging and there is so much exciting music out there! Like this band!
@@coffeeninja8128 My point exactly, And just as you I am also a musician, My hobby not profession. I guess that makes it easier to adapt to new stuff. Well written sir! 🤘
Yep same here. I'm a semipro musician. I was kinda in that rut after Rush retired and Neil Peart died. Listening to the same bands that I was listening to in 1978 or 1995. Then I discovered Jinjer. That was like a jolt from the defib paddles. Suddenly I was awake, and I've discovered a whole slew of great new bands since then. Sometimes it takes just the right combination of factors to open ones eyes to new styles. Jinjer checks all my boxes. Future Palace is one of the bands I first discovered after my eyes were opened. Along with Ankor, Spiritbox and IKINÄ.
I feel 100% the same. I am almost 50 and I find new super music every week. And from many different genres. I think most powerful new album I have found this year is GDS Project - Chess (industrial metal/aggrotech). This Future Palace also sounds nice and will listen to it awhile, but not that into it. And the music back in the days... 80's and also 90's... I think there was much less music and less "channels" where we could find new music. That is why we listened so much those certain bands and we grew up listening those and their new albums. I will always remember W.A.S.P, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and so on... and sometimes listen to those songs, but I think they belong to the past and I want to find new music. More music. Experience more music. Not stay in the past.
Such an amazing song. I'm still listening to it nonstop. Even with all the new amazing songs coming out, this one is my absolute favorite, it even surpassed Paradise and Heads Up. It's so damn good and has such an important message, sadly still - although it's 2024. I hope you play this on the Summer Breeze, I'd be so happy!
@@bloemy6016ich hab für meine Freundin und mich Tickets für Hamburg gebucht, kann es kaum erwarten 😃 Album mit Hoodie ist einennTag vor Release bei mir angekommen 😃
I love both Future Palace and As Everything Unfolds. This is definitely not a collab I expected but I am very excited for it Edit: I'll have this on loop for weeks 🥺❤️
so... I'll start by saying I'm very happy I got to see both of these bands headlining small venues, cause now I'll get to witness their rise to fame and headlining academy sized clubs soon enough. This just has to happen. They're too good to be "small bands" forever. Now... when I had the pleasure to see Future Palace last year in London, Maria was talking a lot about her struggle with mental health and how it affected her writing. Some of the songs/lyrics just hit so hard, that I almost don't want to listen to them - purely because I know how much pain she must've gone through to pour her heart out like that. And lyrics to this song... I really hope she's doing well and nothing traumatizing happened to her, even though the track is absolute banger and can't wait to see them live again (please, PLEASE do full UK tour with AEU, ideally not just your main cities such as Birmingham, Manchester or London, but come over to a less obvious locations - Stoke, Wolverhampton, etc.)
Just think of it as she put her heart and struggle on paper, and created amazing art with her band. She gets to scream this pain out and express herself, and any of us who can relate with her writing can scream it out right a long with her, respect it, and thank her for the gift of musically sharing it with us.
I discovered future palace at Wacken 2025, They made a really good show and excellent performance. Now i hope see the band again in South America. Greetings from Colombia :D
What a grear collab ❤ I started with listening As Everything Unfolds and moved to Future Palace and it became my no 1 with their perfect compositions. I would really dream of listening Just pretend from Bad Omens in Maria's version. ❤
I keep seeing comments about this being a "man hating" song. That's not what the song is saying, and I see a lot of comments jumping to that conclusion. These are experiences that it seems Maria has had, and a lot of other women, not only in the music industry. Especially being a front woman in a world where the genre has a larger male fan base. This is nothing new, and has been going on for quite a long time. I've been at metal shows where I've heard men make comments. The last time I saw Infected Rain I heard the "cat call" whistle about 3 different times directed toward Lena. You also see it in the comments section of videos who have attractive female leads. Instead of commeting on the music, there will be comments about how the commenter and their genitals liked the song by a few people. It does goes both ways. There's women who are really disrespectful to men, and male vocalists. Women at shows screaming "take off your shirt!" or "You're so fkn hot!". This isn't a woman against man song. This isn't a I hate men song. This is a song about experience, and about how it builds up and can make you feel inside. It's a woman against a certain type of man song, if you wanna go down that route at all. I believe the song was meant to express that, and bring awareness to the men who behave in that manner, that hey, this isn't OK, it's not cute and it's not appreciated. Let's just call it a song for "the girls", and there's nothing wrong with that. The song is hard, it's amazing like every other Furture Palace song, and I think some people are twisting too much and taking things the wrong way. Rather, look it up and read why Maria wrote this song, and get a accurate understanding of it from her and Charlie Rolfe. Much 🩶 and respect to Maria, Charlie and Future Palace.
It's just not a female specific issue, and the song makes it seem gender specific. Look up videos of Henry Cavil and Justin Bieber getting sexually harassed. It happens to men just as often as it does to women, and it's wrong either way.
Everyone knows doing that is wrong, including the ones actually doing it. Its like making a song about murder, everyone knows its bad, its obvious. Given that explanation and the lyrics (talking about abortion so it is not about the industry as you said, its about women in general. Have you even listened to the lyrics?) it is obvious this is a "I hate all men" song. Stop trying to mask it as a "victim" story or whatever. You are only fooling yourself and other ignorant people
another masterpiece of a track future palace i really enjoyed it the music video was absolutely amazing maria & charlie rolfe from as everything unfolds vocal contrast mashed really well in the song & the breakdowns were awesome keep the tunes coming future palace well done.🙂❤🤘🔥
OMG, this song got me complete offguard. Wow the rap turning into the screams is so heavey i love it. And also the lyrics are so deep and important these days. Love you guys for ths song

Misogynistic men pleading their own victimization makes me happy.

It is incredible.

This track would fit so well into the Cyberpunk 2077 radio.
Mox gang members
The “It’s 2024” line would feel a bit odd 53 years later 😂😂
@@Patrick-qe3ci well you could label them as a band from the past with a nice voice line from a Mox Member.
this would go hard on Growl FM, Ash has a little bit of everything over there.
