Stephen thanks for the review, and may you enjoy the pen in good health. I was impressed by the "invisibility" of the seam, and overall craftsmanship the threads at the bottom I also found a nice touch. You do make a good point regarding the pen being cartridge converter, easier to clean and no hassle with parts should something to wrong in the future. I am guessing that Sarge is almost as dangerous as Brian Chatterley:-)
Hey Steven, I visited the Mora Stylos site after you mentioned it, and they had a pen that I was looking for (for quite sometime)! (Sheaffer Crest 1990s) Just so you're aware, your recommendations can be just as dangerous as Sarj :) Love the videos as usual, keep up the great content!
I do agree about the cartridge converter argument. Easy to clean, repairable, and it lends to a streamlined design that I think is really cool. The only thing that's a little weird is that the proprietary waterman design is used instead of standard international. Also I LOVE that nib design. :)
Great review Stephen! I also was impressed by the seamlessness. It's a nice pen, beautiful nib. I hope the seller isn't at the DC pen show next year! :-)
This is the second "#7" nib I've seen. I have a pen with one (although its steel). It was described as a #6, but it's definitely larger than that, with the same size and wide shoulders as displayed here. I wonder who makes them?
I appreciated your comments on converters vs. pistons. I like a piston. But I have come to appreciate converters a lot. They are easy to repair and easy to clean. I haven't used my Omas a whole lot for the exact reason you described: who will fix it it something bad happens?
This looks almost like the ASA Nauka. Love the Material.Thank you for the reviews. Maybe you should try one ASA Nauka. Regards from India (and stay safe).
Like this model? Imagine someone would make one by hand for you. In matte Ebonite for whole pen. Same filling mechanism, only officially prepared as an eyedropper as well! And he would put a nice JoWo nib on it. What would you pay for that one? Well he sells them for a lot less then what you just thought. My favourite pen: ASA Nauka. Really really fantastic.
Yeah, the ASA Nauka was the first thing I thought of when I saw this pen. Especially since this model goes for a LOT of cash (even the non-Celluloid models), it's something to think about for potential buyers. The only real drawback would be material choice (and I guess the nib, since this one is different from standard Jowo).
Stephen, I really appreciate and enjoy your reviews. Lately though, I've noticed you've been reviewing pens I have no knowledge of and have never heard of. Would you please include some of the more popular brands (with new releases) in your reviews? I trust your judgement and the reviews on brands like Montblanc, Twsbi, Kaweco, Pelikan, and Visconti are very beneficial.
ARCO OVERLOAD. It does seem that one of the positive aspects of Omas going under is these other guys/companies getting to make pens using the Arco celluloid. I did finally see an Arco pen in person. I'm in the category of not being particularly excited about it. I definitely see the appeal though. I love the simple look of that pen with the cap off.
Actually piston fillers can be a real pain in the ass. And don’t get me on the subject of lever fillers. More and more I look at the quality of the nib ,materials, workmanship and writing experience. As I don’t have x ray eyes am I really bothered about the filling system.
cartridge vs. piston, psychologically people try to justify their decision whatever that may be. in all your videos you express your preference for piston filler mechanism, but know you obviously try to justify your purchase. i suspect this pen won't last long in your collection. let us know how that goes please. lol

Thank you Stephen. That celluloid is deeply lovely.

Excellent review of a wonderful pen!
The shape, thread, seamless barrel and section just like my Nauka from Asa Pens.
Gorgeous pen! Thanks for the review.

I like to change inks frequently so I prefer the Convertor.

Yup-got me in Sheffield said hello and spent £300 on a Wahl Eversharp Doric. To be fair I had been looking for one for a while and it is a great pen.
I prefer CC in any pen over piston due to the ease of cleaning. I love switching inks and its such a hassle cleaning pistons that dont disassemble.
It brings to mind an old oversize Sheaffer Balance that is one of my all-time favorite pens. That is a timeless look that just works on every level :)
Yes, it definitely does!
I'm sure someone is planning a heist out there already...
This looks almost like the ASA Nauka.

Yes, you have Sarj's number. Got an Oldwin in my hands too.
Have you had the barrel untwist and leave the section in the cap? This is the one drawback to some of those threads placed low on the section....
That has not happened to me
what a beauty!!!
Thanks for the review. Love the look of the pen - and if I were a "Brown", I would buy this pen too! ;-)
Wow your french is pretty good ...
Gorgeous pen ! 😘😍😍😍

Very interesting!
sbrebrown Shootout Stephen?
To those who like the shape but want something more affordable, I recommend the ASA Nauka.
Or John E. Brady's Nanga model for better quality, and choice of acrylic material.

That is a beautiful pen! Obviously resistance was futile!
I only have 1 thing to say: ARCO OVERLOAD.
Lovely, but I'll take the Arco Decoband.

It's like a large sexy Sheaffer Balance
They are indeed inspired by the Sheaffer Balance, according to an interview with the first Mr Mora (grandfather to the current owner?) who made it
You’re a meany. Stop doing this to me; I’m happy for you; but exceedingly jealous
1200$?! Wtf😮 damn. More like showoff pen.

Or, just a thought, I have changed my mind.
