    Tim, good to see even you having a tough day on the water. It makes the rest of us not feel so bad when we struggle at this time of the year 😉

      Seriously. It's healthy for these channels to show the struggle. I know for me personally, I learn more and respect channels more when they're not afraid to show that hey're just like everyone else.

    I appreciate the focus on conservation and sustainability in this video, it's important to remember that fishing is not just about catching fish but also preserving the environment.

    Great tips. It's great to see common courtesy to fellow Crappie fishermen. Years ago, my dad and I would Crappie fish on Kentucky Lake, and the bass boats would literally blow right in next to use and hit full throttle when they left the spot. Not only did it ruin our day, but many times, the wake pushed us into tree tops and the shoreline very quickly.

      It's been nice not having pleasure boaters and Jet skiers around. One of my places, Lake Norman is the home lake so all the Charlotte pleasure boaters are out there. My place on Bull Shoals is much better but still busy when it warms. Unfortunately NC is where I have to spend most of my summer. I've been in Arkansas for the last 3 months so it's been nice, but coming to an end.

    Great video (as usual)! For those of us that live in the Midwest, seeing how to fish the cold, muddy conditions helps a ton!
    Can you guys do a video (or include in a video) on your cold weather clothing, gloves, etc.? That's one of the main reasons I don't do a lot of fishing during this time of year. I freeze to death!!! Thanks.

    I have a question do bass eat trout glide baits even if there are no trout in the lake? Bluegill is the main forage but I am wondering if they would still eat a trout glide.

      It depends on the day. We are based in East Tennessee but never stop traveling. We typically fish in 25-30 states each year in order to keep our information well rounded and applicable to everyone.

      Try spraying the guides with line conditioner...bass pro makes 1...another called Reel Snot...KVD makes 1 I think

    • @austinjay4953

      @@andybales7318 I've tried it all...reel magic, reel snot, PAM, wd40, u name it...n even change up to flouro or mono 4 the winter...n it's too big a problem 4 me, personally. I fish a river system n I can't get it gone completely, & if u Don't clean ur eyes off, u got twisted line n a rats nest n ur baitcaster or spinnin reel over a dozen casts! & who wants to do that after every 3 casts n 20° weather? I just CANT go when temp is below 27°. It gets REAL Bad after that!

    Why is post storm a tough time to fish? I would think the sun would warm the water and let the fish see bait better in muddy water. I could see a video on weather effects be something you could do. Sit by the fireplace and record it. ;}
