You didn't elaborate what's the difference of OT and PT for pediatric settings.

    • @KM-zn3lx

Ot is fine motor, self cares, writing, coloring, cutting and sensory.

PT focuses primarily on physical health whereas OT focuses on a person's ability to carry out activities of daily living, what they need and want to do, but are having difficulty with due to a mental or physical disability, illness, accident etc. OT takes a holistic approach; considering all the aspects which affect occupational performance and health - such as physical, cognitive, psychological, environmental, perceptual, social etc... to enable a person to be as independent as possible. In a paediatric setting, OT assessment and intervention is used to develop, recover, or maintain the meaningful activities and skills needed for day-to-day life to enable growth and function in adult life. :-)

You can possibility go to a hospital and ask if they have an OT department and then ask them if they know or have anyone that are Outpatient OT's.
