“If I gave up on being pretty. I wouldn’t know how to be alive.” Hits pretty darn hard in my case. Ever since reaching the age of 14 I’ve had a bit of teen acne. Yes, I wash my face twice a day, I put on moisturiser, I use face masks, I use a face cloth, I even use pills for teen acne. But at the end of the day, no matter how hard I try, I just have pimple prone skin, and no amount of skincare can change that. I want a clear skin, I want to be as pretty as the other girls. No, scratch that. I don’t want to be as pretty as the other girls, I want to be prettier than them, I don’t just want to be attractive, I want to be drop dead gorgeous, and I want the people who made fun of me to admire me, I want them to wish that they looked like me, but that’ll never happen and I know it.
Sorry for the rant, I just wanted to talk about this for a moment. As long as somebody knows I’ll feel a bit better.

it's normal to have acne and i'm really sure that if you just keep doing the face care that your doing now you'll eventually get rid of the acne, just try other ways if they don't work, i know it'll be frustrating to see no matter what you do, there's little or barely no progress but i believe you'll get rid of the acne if you're consistent for long enough and using a effective method to fix this acne issue, idk who u are but still i'm concerned about the fact your feeling this way and i understand why u let it out in the comments section. idk how u look either, but i think that u are beautiful with or without acne, and u've always been beautiful and i don't think u need the approval of other people for you to be beautiful because u already are, screw the rude people bc what they think doesn't matter what u think does, what's more important actually is that ur actually taking care of yourself, by taking care of your face. and i'm really proud that ur trying to take care of yourself. i've seen other girls with severe acne, and they also used pills and a lot of facial care, and for some girls it was fast, and for others short even the girls who took the longest eventually cleared up their skin. if they can do that, so can u short or long time it's possible and it's possible for u too, i genuinely think beauty is in the inside, not the physical appearance, but either way you ARE pretty, no matter what, doesn't matter if you don't fit into someone's 'shallow beauty standards', you don't have to fit into anyone's certain crazy standard of physical beauty, you're just beautiful the way you were born, nothing measures that or changes that. people are judgmental and cruel, but whatever they think or say to you doesn't mean it's true. what's really beautiful is the personality and characteristics of a person, and everyone has a different view of beauty, so some will think your pretty or ugly, 'depending on their views on what a beautiful attractive person is', but it doesn't matter bc u shouldn't care about pleasing other people focus on your happiness and health, if u need some help, I'll try to help you with some advice
1. trying different more effective methods and ways to clear up ur skin if the current methods u use aren't working.
2. doing the right kind of research on skincare and on how to clear up acne
3. being consistent even if there's little progress, why? bc eventually hard work will pay off
4. maybe contact a dermatologist for advice and help if you are able to
5. maybe ask for some advice from other people, like parents or friends or anyone u know if they know how to clear acne, or like tips on skincare
also, ur happiness should come from u, not other people! so yea, i just want u to keep in mind that there have been a lot of people who've had really bad acne and they managed to clear up their acne. if it's possible for them, it's possible for u too, and i know that bc ur actually trying to clear it up, ur putting in the effort and that's enough so i hope that by now you've made some progress on ur acne, or that it's been cleared up by now, if not still keep going!

Honestly, every teen gets acne. Once you finish puberty the acne will be a lot less, so when that happens your skin will become very good. Just wait it out and keep the routine up.
As someone who still struggles with acne, many people think I am drop dead gorgeous, but it's not about looks it's personality...and even though ppl think I am hot and what not I still feel like it's never enough...don't try and focus on your looks just have fun I wish I can go back and been a teenager again I'm 18, so I can have that teen life instead of locking myself away in a room no friends just bullies...i learned to just say Fuck that fuck them. But it still bothered me even on the outside if I was an agressive bitch cuz I was sick of being picked on... don't allow others perspective to affect your own cuz it'll follow you till your grave...learn to love yourself now before it's impossible...and no one should love you for looks...that's not love it's lust...don't destroy yourself like I have kid...i see alot of people encouraging your path..don't those girls have their own insecurities they can't love themselves so they try and fill the void with attention good or bad like bullying you.. one of my past bullies finally decided to hang out with me at one point... She looked at me and apologized and said none of her other friends would ever let her be herself like I had we were playing in the mud she said that she would be judged for it by her other friends...i told her those aren't freinds... Someone looks up to you in the shadows... Not daring to say their true thoughts... We all have someone like that looking up to us without even realizing it..
