Granted, the Wendigo is a mythical creature. But there is a lot of misinformation about it that RUclips and Reddit have introduced recently. Chiefly, the appearance does not include antlers. I don't know who started that. Or why. It's recent and bears no resemblance to the traditional understanding of the Wendigo. Ojibwe (the real name for the tribe, not Chippewa) lore going way back does not include antlers on the Wendigo. Rather, it has the look of an emaciated human. Maybe a bit taller than normal. Though some say it grows in size with every consumed victim but always remains emaciated and ravenous. Pale, long limbed, dark sunken eyes, sharp nails and teeth. Vicious, strong and fast. But quite susceptible to being killed by normal means. Most dangerous at night and during winter.

I actually had several encounters with the same dogman. It was inside the city limits. They do exist, I am thankful I had heard of dogman before my encounters. It is still a little shocking to actually encounter one. Luckily, my encounters were not terrifying, like many encounters I have listened to.

If that father story was real, then they'd probably be fine anyway since it's not normal to get knocked out for more than a few seconds, let alone a few hours, he'd likely have a severe brain injury, and the most wendigo depictions in native folklore depicting an elk like creature is blatantly false, I still love your channel regardless keep up the good work.

What bugs me about these stories, yes I know they are just stories, but if they were fact they never mention calling the police. I am thinking more of the stores like the one where the dude was walking in the middle of the night, or the blonde girl. If you don't call to have them search and be aware of a problem person, I think you are culpable if someone gets hurt or worse, after your encounter.
