- Today we are looking at every unit that was falsely advertised in DBZ Dokkan Battle.
These are units that they showed us and mislead us to believe that we would get x unit or we would be getting x mechanic but we did not.
This could also range to errors on banners, rates changes or even the character not being on the banner at all!
The 2022 Fraudhan incident will live rent free in my head till the day Dokkan shuts down. That level of blue balling is not tolerated. Not to mention, HE WAS SHIT ON RELEASE!

He was not shit on release and got better in the fusion zamasu meta beacuse it was short and he had type advantage with ki super nullifications

7:00 GLB still wasn't out of the type meta yet. They still had to release some DFE type leaders. Bringing out the category out then would net them a huge loss in value.
This is true I agree, but to an extent that is. You still have to realize people are gonna need the other units to tackle SBR regardless. Introducing the category systems could have hurt the others but they did realize 200% leaders early on Global and it did not stop people from summoning on the 170% leads

The Kefla situation was also an image issue iirc.
The rates weren’t changed and was correct, but the way the files downloaded on many accts was corrupted and did not show certain units in the featured slides. These omitted units often included the new Kefla, Kale, and Caulifla. This caused people who ended up not pulling the units that weren’t shown on their corrupted featured list to believe that the unit advertised just straight up wasn’t in the summoning pool. In reality, the units were all able to be summoned even if they weren’t exactly shown. Still people who got shafted panicked, rightfully so, and thus the compensation.
You should try getting more footage for units, even if it’s just general gameplay or showing stuff like the other super gogeta unit animations so it’s not just the 1 clip looping for over a minute with the same ost loop
Yeah I get it can be annoying. I’ll see what I can do for it. Perhaps I’ll do what I did with Kefla and just show a different version of them or start off with their animation and then pivot to another
I will say I rainbowed him when they had the summon glitch where you could pull him consistently on the LR step banner. Also the EZA was well needed.
No matter how much i say it i cannot emphasis it as much as i should, you are literally filling the hole that dbzmoe made after filling one

I rmb when Omega n SS4 Gogeta first came out I managed to pull both of them and couldn't even use them because their leader skill was to be released.

I didn't care about LR Ultimate Gohan having Beast as an active because he didn't do much and practically everything he does is in there, they had to do original stuff with str lr beast and a lot of people still didn't like his animations, so I think people just like to complain

The To Be Released incident with Gogeta and Omega Shenron was because the GBL game didn't have the category leader skill update yet. Some expected a last minute update to add the categories (even though global was faar behind JP), others expected them to have only half the leadskill but when they released with now was the biggest meme ever.
Yeah the reason makes sense but clearly they learned from this bc this never happened again so Global got broken leader skills earlier than intended but hey at least they learned 😂

Honestly, I feel like beast gohan is overhated as he was a great unit and is still a pretty good unit but I believe people were expecting him to be number 1 and the gap between him and piccolo made it worse. Though it's completely valid to hate his release since he wasn't technically beast gohan that we were all expecting.

The worst part about fraudhan was that he wasn't even a good unit on release. He was unreliable, and had ki issues while orange piccolo was a defensive god.

Damn, that's interesting. I know people love to shit on Legends while praising Dokkan now, but it looks like Dokkan had its fair share of bad decisions and rough times in its earlier years.

Well... it's probably not unit who get fasely advertised... but just to mention the phy black rose event is quite a L for global... we got the unit (without the side unit), with 25% of the contents, and without the Lr whould have came with it, while JP got the whole thing, including, first, a super powerful LR, and second, who could have saved black, and his category...

That new years banner with str ui was awesome i watched a video where somone metioned they might do refunds for the banner so i poured all the stones i had (about 500) did the few rounds and then got them refunded and did it again that was the best banner ever lol free summons

I still remember the exact moment of the Dokkan Now when they showed that Beast was actually an active skill instead of a transformation. I literally thought it was a joke, after all the ads it just couldn't be real. But it was, and not only that, but also that Gohan was not that good on release. Even worse if you compare him to Piccolo who was immensely better, even to this day.

Lr ultimate letdown was horrible, we see a flash of beast in the card art and he wasn’t even playable, other LR’s also transform just for an active attack but then the transformed version isn’t in the art like the lr gods fuse into gogeta for their active but gogeta doesn’t show up in their art animation, the 3rd anni LR’s fuse and you can use the fusions, their art shows in the background of the card art animation, orange piccolo is the same thing and he came out with lr ultimate letdown

The dev team literally showed an image of Beast and Orange Piccolo saying coming soon and also gave us letter hints for 5 days straight that spelt Beast. The marketing team intentionally misled us with their false advertisement, they consistently teased we were getting a Beast Gohan... we did not.
I got the str super gogeta on like my second pull, I didn't know the odds were weird on that one.

Idk if it sent or not since it had a a link to a post, so il type again, the stones were given in 2017. Str kefla came out in 2020, they were given due to an issue with the phy kefla banner, not the str, which was a banner that cameout at the same time as phy super vegito on november

When SSJ4 Gogeta showed up in the vid, i was confused because I didn't remember any controversy around the character at the time. The second you mentioned the character introducing category leader skills, I remember the unit having "TBR" listed as his leder skill for months, if not a full *year.*

I thought you would've talked about the red Vegeto LR, they made a poll and asked players which card they wanted to see as a free obtainable LR. Vegeto won and we had to wait from july 2017 to february 2018 to finally be able to play him in LR form
Also not everyone could've get it especially fresh accounts due to the kaio shins missions that required a certain amont of characters that had specific links like fierce batte
I even remember famous youtubers in France poiting out some useless side units to people just because they had fierce battle

Dude what in the world do you mean Str Gogeta was one of the minor ones? Lowering the rates is literally the worst thing you can do. At least with Kefla it wasn't intentional, AND they gave compensation, Gogeta not only was seemingly intentional but also there wasnt compensation.
It is minor because first they showed us that they lowered the rates so at least we knew what we were getting ourselves into. Second, it is clearly seen that this was intended bc they wanted to treat Gogeta like a “LR”, but that did not exist yet but it gave him this extra value. It would be a bigger issue if we didn’t see the rate

i was one of those poor bastards who pulled the lr ss3 goku when it should have been ui goku so in my eyes the compensation wasn't enough as i did not have ui goku at all. they should have tracked those unlucky players and gifted them a copy
