As a Dane I think these trains look absolutely amazing ❤

They look too plastic ish, too clean, too generic, they’re narrower, and only run at 200km/h. DSB chose a regional to use as their entire intercity fleet, when we’ve been used to the opposite, intercity trains on regional services. Also, locos with cars would’ve been much cheaper, the bicycle cars will be difficult to walk through with bicycles and other mobility devices side by side, and Alstom who’s delivering these trains have done a horrible job with our new signalling system, why they shouldn’t have been chosen for delivery of these new trains.

@@ncard00 eh I wouldn't say it's a regional train, when it can speed up to 200km/h and it's basically equivalent to the Dutch ICNG intercity train. How is it difficult to walk through bicycle cars with a bicycle? The compartment for these looks insanely spacious, so I don't see the issue. I can't say much about the signalling system, though.

Wow, it looks like a regional train, and that no one thought of passengers comfort here! Im not surprised! It all about cheap and cold design, i guess.

Overall this looks horrible, how can they Imagen this will replace a high capacity main line train, the designs are copies of how the trains on the minor lines look.
Those thin seats make a 10 Euro lawn chair look inviting, and there is still no lumbar support so a 4 hour trip will still be a pain in back and rear, but at least they finally fixed the electrical outlets.
Cupholders for outer seat seats is a massive +.
Individual armrest is cute, but so close to each other only one person will use it at a time anyway it might as well be one big with a little wall in the middle.
Removed the hallways between doors and area for bikes and strollers is good, straps to lock in bikes and plenty of area shuffle around in is a massive +.
That first toilet has never seen a man over 100kg wearing a winter coat with a backpack, he would have to shit with the door open to fit in there, and that will happen.
The IC3 mainly has 4 seat groupings, giving alot of baggage space between and above seat groups, and even those will be full of suitcases in the hallways and on laps when the rush for the airports happen daily, this will be a cluster fuck with how poorly the space is utilised.

Yeah especially the departures that go all the way to CPH Airport always struggle with luggage space even on IC3... the trains between Hong Kong midtown and airport has solved this by installing luggage racks, made in a way so you can easily use a cheap bicycle wire lock if you feel uncomfortable leaving your suitcase alone.
That's not ideal either, but it makes good use of space. It's just a short ride though.

Can't say I'm looking forward to these. Seats look like something ripped out of a city bus, luggage space looks reduced (why is the shelf over the seats so narrow?), that first toilet looked ridiculously undersized, and the hallway space between seats looks so narrow. Imagine people dragging their oversized suitcases through that gap. And what's with the individual armrests, as if that actually allows two people to rest their arms on them? Just means more hassle when trying to get into or out from the window seat.
I guess we'll see how it turns out but I can't say I trust DSB. How can you trust a train company where all the top people prefer any other mode of transport?

Those ridiculously narrow individual armrests between the seats are like a very bad joke.😖😡

Nice one

No, is just anew train but same design. Nothing news. The seats are not comfortable, you feel numb and you cannot adjust the backrest or the seat. It is the same as Siemens Desiro.

That's why Japan, China and South Korea have much more advanced trains.

Shinkansen may be faster, but the seats are not better... have you tried it? The majority of the seating is more like on an airplane: 3+3 rows of quite narrow seats. But of course, Japan being Japan, the toilets are always clean, and Asia being Asia, you can go smoke in the smoking lounge at 300 km/h.
Anyway... I will miss the sofa-like seating when travelling with kids, as we know from IC3.

Seats narrower and harder than ever in DSB history. A huge step backwards for comfort.😫

Yeah, stupid decision, ordering a regional train to use on intercity routes, the flex area is also to narrow, and these trains only max out at 200km/h instead of 250km/h, when the swedish SJ are ordering 250km/h EMU’s to use on many regional routes as well.

Probably probably 2035 or even 2040, considering the last IC4 scandal we had.
