likewise, bout 11 years ago bro, loved that show, that episode where when she's finally out hanging on the glasses in her kitchen, still remember that scene, unless I'm mistaken, she was fixing her apartment, great show
God this band was so fantastic. I was fortunate enough to see them once in 1997 or 1998 outside Boston. They were the undercard at this big music festival and they stole the show.
Was talking about renovations in the house with the wife this morning and the curtains came up. I put this song on after not hearing it for a few years. Of course she had never heard it, she was 9 when the album came out. After a few bars we stopped talking about the living room and pivoted to the bedroom...
The guy actually plays baritone and tenor at the same time. Like literally at the same time, with two mouth pieces in his mouth. You can really hear it in the song "Empty Box". Only guy I know of to do that.
Look up 'Twinemen' - the band Dana Colley (sax) and Billy Conway (drums) formed after Mark's untimely death. Not quite Morphine to be sure, but *very* good . . .
Hangin' on a curtain Swingin' like a clock Big hand on the seven The little hand on top You said you like to hear me talk You told me not to stop You said you like to hear me talk You told me not to stop Little red feet with big blue toes Let me put my hands inside your clothes Little red feet with big blue toes Let me put my hands inside your clothes Cute buttons like pointy little teeth Oh, don't bite please Cute buttons like pointy little teeth Oh, don't bite please Little red feet with big blue toes Let me put my hands inside your clothes Hangin' on a curtain Swingin' like a clock Big hand on the seven The little hand on top Said you like to hear me talk You told me not to stop Said you like to hear me talk You told me not to stop
I'd love to tell you want this album, Morphine as a group, and this period of my life meant and means to me; I just can't keep that canvas straight. Might not be in the mood for Like Swimming, but there isn't a mood it doesn't match.
Heard this on Nikita, great show great tune.

Was it a suicide or was he killed? A conspiracy.....

I suspect he was a sacrifice & someone used some kind of frequency weapon to cause a heart attack.

Bourbon and a decent cigar

Eyes wide shut. But the final scences of 2001 is probably the greatest ending of all time.

This song is kind of dark but yet relaxing i really miss this band
morphine really did catch the essence of morphine!!! derived from Morpheus the God of Dreams
Is it just me...? 19 or so years before... is there an element of Bowie's masterpiece Blackstar in this beauty? I need a musicologist on this.
I hear that
It's called a saxophone.
Look up 'Twinemen' - the band Dana Colley (sax) and Billy Conway (drums) formed after Mark's untimely death. Not quite Morphine to be sure, but *very* good . . .

It’s the best song
For me this song was on time with a break up in 1997. Haunted me then but I had to get through the song. Every time…….

+Jack Piercy if I only I knew, the way he says it, the way it clicks with the dreamscape feel, I can't comprehend it, and that's the idea
+Jackson Bloom i feel ya, abstract beauty

Something really haunting about this one
I found out that the bass is played on a 2 string slide bass, anyone knows if this can be played on a normal bass too?
Grandremone yes
just get a fretless bass pedal and play on the two strings that the tuning is in
can anybody tell me what saxophone is used on this song?
punkdude002 I believe it was both a tenor and baritone
