I feel you! My son is a few months older than Leo, and I was sooo exhausted and irritated and basically just mentally and physically drained - so when he started daycare a couple months ago I really felt like I got myself back. Even though the time that he is in daycare is spent at work, I feel like I have more time to myself, to just to be and have my own thoughts. And not be in constant alert mode! Getting back to worklife was the best thing I could do for myself and my family. I'm glad to see you back, and glad you now have time to take care of yourself! Stay strong, momma! :)
This is all so wonderful! Leo will get to make friends and have structure and if you’re better able to take care of yourself you’ll be a better parent as well!!!! Hooray for all of this!

There is one thing to say about this, Welcome to moderhood, everything is not pink clouds and wonderful all time... Remeber, own time is nothing bad or make you bad as a parents. To feel, its gonna be releef haveing Leo on daycare, its okay to feel. Dont feel you sitting babbling or only complaining. Sometimes better tell how it is, then make it look good. Seems like a normal part of raising a child, it'll take you to all time lows but also all time highs, and in the end even the worse bits will turn into golden memories. Don't get too stressed out by the thought of unemployment, you guys are going to survive just fine for the time being and you'll find something good soon enough.
A lot of Mother's around the world go through the exact same roller coaster of emotions and feelings after having their first child. Cherish it now because he'll be moving out of the house on his way to college or the military before you know it.
Ahhh all the mama feels 😢 Hang in there girl! I'm a sahm of 2, and it is exhausting. Both stopped napping very early (around 2/3), and both are very active, so totally understand what this feels like! Like, all our time is being used up, and not in a bad way because our kids are so important. But it does start to feel like that's all we're doing, and we do need time to just BE. To refresh, to get projects done, to have balance. Our kids are important, and so are we! ❤
Welcome to motherhood and huge comfy clothes is perfect for this year. You find out what you want in your life. My daughter hated the pram as soon as she could walk, so she got a backpack with lead and she was happy and I didnt have kid that suddenly let go my hand and run out of traffic. When she got older all I had to do was put on the backpack and then she wouldnt walk away from me, without backpack she would just run and climb everything.
Happy to see you after so long time! Having been a "stay at home dad" for the last 7 years, I know what it means to have some time for yourself. In my case it's just 4 hours per day when the kid is at school. But that time is oh so important.
Daycare is a life saver!! I’m so happy we are living in Finland and daycares are still open! Also, my son is definitely learning a lot more than I was able to teach him :)
Came to see that nasty comment which was mom shaming, good to see it's gone! Honestly every family is different and nobody should judge others life and decisions. Daycare must be a big help for you, you and Dave get more energy and Leo also must enjoy having other kids to play with once awhile 😊 Good for those who can stay at home for like 3 years but it's not everyones tea and it's okay. This is why there is daycare for 👏 better this way than having danger of parents having burn out.
Yeah I was pretty quick to block and delete 😅 Don't want that kind of negativity here! Yeah I think a few hours of playing with kids his own age will be really good for him (and us all!) however good I am at playing peek a boo with him I think he's getting bored at home 🤣🤣
I can relate to that as well :) Whole my life I was such a patient person! And then I became a mother... I feel like the moment your needs (sleep, food, moment of peace...) are not met, you are not yourself. It is really hard to be caring towards someone, when you have no way to care about yourself. I have been reading a lot about kids mental development and non violent communication and it helped me to get better too. Obv when kid went to kindergarten I started to have some time for myself too, it were good times ;) Then I went for finnish course and now I have prietty much no time for anything again, but I am still enjoying playing or simply being next to her. Btw, I advice to start teaching Leo to tidy up after playing. Do it together like sth fun, then you will have less housework. Daughter is tidying her toys since she was like 1.5 and it helped us really a lot. Also this pulling down everything should end up the moment he will just know everything around. He will get used to things, they will not be so exciting anymore ;) It will get easier!
Yes, exactly!! So nice when other people know what you're going through 🙏🏼🥰 We're definitely practicing tidying and he actually quite enjoys it... until he 3 minutes later pulls everyout again of course haha 🤣😅

Vi stöder våra närmaste i deras problem, och är så sysselsatta med allt annat som pågår i livet att vi ofta glömmer oss själva. Jag är glad att Leo är i dagis nu, för om det där sku ha fortsatt längre kan det ju vara att du sku ha börja få värre "symptom".

all of this sounded exactly the same as what I was talking about and I thought when we put our Leo in kindergarten, (the name of the child even made it sound the same😆✌🏻) Our Leo was 1.5 years when he started 3 days a week in daycare, financial situation required me to return to work and as a active kid also, i didnt have enough energy to produce alla that needed content for a child’s life, so this was for the best 🤗 we also thought it was in everyone’s interest, the boy makes friends, learns new important things, both skills and social stuff. You are a great mom, and its ok to fall sometimes, this is all part of life, and you are doing a great job 🙌🏻❤️

Vanhimmalla ja vähitellen useallakin vanhimmalla alkaa olla järkeä päässä ja he houkuttelevat nuoremmatkin mukaansa, jolloin he eivät tyhjennä tekemisen puutteessa kirjahyllyjä. Lapsista alkaa olla seuraa toisilleen ja vanhemmat lapset opettavat ja viihdyttävät nuorempia. Tsemppiä rankimpaan vaiheeseen, se on jälkikäteen yllättävän lyhyt, vaikka juuri nyt saattaa tuntua melko loputtomalta!

Daycare at 15mon is not too early, it will be highly beneficial for his social and language skills! And it will be beneficial for your mental health to be Cat for few hours a day, it's an important job to be mommy but mommy needs time for herself too.. You should contact Austin and Jess Vlogs. They have a 2year old that has been able to play alone from the beginning in her room and just anywhere. I think it will relief you a lot if you get Leo to do that as well.
Definitely being a mom is super hard! My baby is almost 1, I love her so so so much that sometimes I’m afraid I’m gonna eat her 🤣🤣🤣 but to be honest I can’t wait for her to go to daycare. I really need some time for myself too. It’s so nice to know that I’m not alone and I’m not a terrible mom for feeling this way. ☺️
