hello, thank you so much for this, I have one challenge, I can't find the next button after I have put in my details at the non-individual registration part.
Note that the non individual page is for a individual registered business or limited or unlimited company. On the page, You need to choose the right business type, then your registration number from CAC and then your business or company name. Once you do that, it should load your TIN automatically from their servers.

I have a link in the description a link to that video on how to get TIN. It's the same steps for business or company. Just click on the individual option instead of the business or company name option and fill the form. That's all. Wait for it to be processed and you get your TIN which you can copy or print out.

It takes a while for you to get it. Wait for it and your TIN will be sent to your email address. You can also contact their support using the email it phone number on their support page to fast track the processing.

@@CocomillaCakery If the CAC reg no is still the same after name change, then there is no need for an update. The TIN still remains the same. If CAC gives you a new reg no, then just register for a new TIN using the new no to get a new TIN.

Unable to print my tin certificate it’s saying record not found but I got the jtb tin number on my mail I’m using my phone chrome browser
Click on the PDF sent to your email and download that. It's the same certificate. Just click and it will open as a PDF file and you can download and save it on your system. You can print it out and use it offline.

I applied for this Registration. It's getting over a week now. But yet to hear from them.. Have sent countless emails, not even a single feedback. Even an auto-responder is not enabled in their email marketing service. I also called the CS number, currently switched off even during working hours. SMH. I submitted a name for reservation, after searching for name availability, it's been 2days now, name has not been reserved, still pending, i've sent them email for help, no reply, still pending

The registration and approval process now takes some time. You just have to be patient with these people. Sometimes it takes months now for them to approve these things. Just keep sending them messages and copy the phone number on the site and call them and they will approve it.

You probably added the letter in front of the registration numbers. Don't add the letter, just the numbers..

Yes. If it's incorporated a log time ago then it's probably registered with the FIRS so go to their website. Just enter the reg no, and other details and you will get the number.

@@Monte1127 You can edit the details by clicking on the pending reserved name and then see your details. You should see an edit link, click on it and then edit the name..Once it's approved, you have to pay to edit it.

I registered with JTB online and they sent me tracking number but till now I have not gotten the tin number. I also tried using portal to search for it using my CAC number which i registered since 2010, it refused to provide me with the number. Pls what shall I do to get the tin?

It takes some few weeks. Sometimes it's fast and sometimes it takes some time. Generally It depends on the state office and how busy they are.

I generated a TIN with address in Ondo state, but will need the TIN number for work needs, can i use it or there is a way i can correct my address now!
@@ehodachristian7675 JTB TIN which is universal. That means it works across all states in the country. So no matter where you reside, your TIN will work just fine. Only the FIRS works based on your location.
During my CAC reg, I already have the TIN Number from FIRS, not Joint Tax Board website. Do i still follow this process?
The JTB TIN is the new number system even though the FIRS number is still accepted. The JTB TIN is universal and accepted in all states if you ever decided to move to another state. So you should get that too.

.You can get a personal tax ID using your NIN or BVN number like I mentioned in the video. Just go to the page for personal tax ID and check your personal tax ID number. There is no need for a video. Just get your CAC certificate to the office and collect their form. Fill it there, submit. Details is same as in the video. Give them photocopy of your certificate and you are done.

You can't fast track TIN. You have to wait in line and when it gets to your turn, it will be processed. Processing time depends on the state office handling your application. So you have to be patient.

For individual Taxpayer identification number, they have removed the page for that but now you don't need to register I think. You are assigned one based on your BVN or NIN number. You can go to tinverification.jtb.gov.ng/Template/TINVerification and use your BVN or NIN to see if you have one assigned to you. If not, you can go to their office and get your Tax ID.

Same way you register for your business TIN. Choose Non individual option and then enter the society's certificate of incorporation number or BVN or NIN of the director of the society... You should get your TIN after some few weeks.

Yes you have to calculate your tax. There is a tax calculator on their webpage. I will create a tutorial on this soon.

You are welcome. The date of commencement is the date your business started. That's the date that will appear on your certificate. Add a date like a month from now.

Both are acceptable for now but eventually I think they are going to move to the JTB number format. Yes JTB is accepted for the Non US W-8BEN form

I have been searching on google, even asking AI Chai GPT all says Joint tax board tin number is not acceptable because JTB tin number is for State tax, collaboration tax and other tax except revenue/royalty collection tax which W-8ben stands for. It's Only FIRS tin number that covers every tax including revenue/royalty collection tax.
And here now you said JTB is working for same W-8ben. I swear to God I am in so much confusion right now.

You can start with the individual ID but It's best you register as a business later if you want to do POS business. Cost you just N10,500 to register your business and in about a week or two you will get your business name registered fully.

@@jamaldeenbnsalahudeen4373 There is no way to get it within few hours if you do this the right way. States handle TIN and it depends on how fast they handle these things. Some states have high number of requests and some states don't. Besides, these guys are lazy and there is nothing you can do about it. But you can visit their office in your state and partner with one of their staff members. If money exchanges hands, I believe it can be faster.

It's the same steps. Just go the page shown in the video and follow the steps. You can check the FIRS TIN verification page. Select any of the search criteria like phone no or registration number and enter the value then search. If your TIN is ready, it will show up in the search.

It should work at anytime. Probably network issues on your end or server issues on their end. Just try some other time.

@@ogochuwkusamuel If you go to the office, they will refer you back to the website to complete the registration. You have to try some other time. Clear your system cache and do it on PC. This won't work well on mobile.

Just follow the steps in the video. It's very easy. Go to the page indicated and enter your CAC number. Make sure to include the RC number in front of the number and submit. It's just 3 fields. Then wait for the TIN to be sent to the email.

Individual TIN is generated for you through your BVN or NIN numbers. For your business, you need to register by clicking the non-individual TIN. Enter your business details and your TIN will be sent to your email address after some few weeks.

@@chinasaelizabeth1982 That means you made the mistake when you registered the first time. There is non individual and there is individual and you probably chose individual. But you shouldn't be able to register with your CAC if you picked that option and get a certificate with your names. The certificate should have your business name. Make sure you choose the non individual and register again. If it gives you the same TIN Request exists then you might need to send them an email or call them to complain. Their name and email is on the contact us page on their website.

Just follow the steps in the video. You can check for a personal Tax ID using your BVN on the personal page. If you want the corporate tax ID instead then you need to register your business name and then go to the site in the video, enter business registered number and then click the search button to get the tax ID. It's that easy
Sir, since the sent me request ID and I forwarded them a mail telling them I needed it urgently I have not still receive the mail with TIN. I tried calling their number but it was off
Nigeria's system don't work like it should. I am sure they don't even know the number on their site isn't functional. You have to give them time and be patient.
Does getting a TIN prevent you from paying taxes?
TIN is your tax identification number so you need that to pay taxes.

You can use it temporarily i think but you will need to get the Tax ID of the country you travel to. All countries have their own tax ID system..

Check your email for the TIN Request Creation Notice. In that email, you will get the ID of your request and you can use that when you contact them.

@@brannyajayi3869 Yes sometimes it's just so annoying. You are supposed to get an email right away after you register and get an ID for you to do follow-up. The last TIN I registered took 9 months for them to approve it, they just sent me a TIN number and the notification last week since June last year. The others I did before this took just days. They probably are getting more request than they can handle and since they are all lazy, there is always backlogs. I also think it depends on the state board handling it. You can copy the phone number on their website and give them a call and just tell them your company or business name if you don't have an ID. You just have to be patient. This is Nigeria for you.

Your TIN serves as your personal or company's file number for all federal taxes and future correspondence with the FIRS. No need to pay annual fee on the number. You will need that when paying your taxes to FIRS...

It takes approximately 5-7 working days sometimes. Just be patient. Their support is not that great and since it's the beginning of the year, I am sure they have some backlogs of applications. As long as you completed all the steps and submitted all required documents, you are good.

@@montfortchisom6803 Just do what I did. As shown in the video, copy the email address which is at the top of their website and send them a mail. In my case it was ready but they just didn't send it but once I sent them an email they responded in less than 24 hours. Do that and wait. It's Nigeria in and Sometimes you just have to be patient with them. You can also call the number on their contact us page.

If you mean have your TIN number on your certificate, you can't. They are handled by two different bodies. You just need to have both when you need to open a corporate bank account or do other businesses that require business verification.

You actuall did not teach how to do FIRS own.
I mentioned that in the video. For FIRS TIN, you need to go to their office. There is no online registration for FIRS TIN.. Go to their office with the same documents mentioned, collect their forms, fill them right there and submit. You will be informed when your TIN is ready..
How can I register this as an individual?
Go to the JTB we site choose the personal Tax ID page. You will need to submit your NIN or BVN. You will also need to fill the page with all requested details.. You don't need business certificate to get that. Just follow the steps in the video..

@@kennyking8633 It says BVN or NIN or CAC certificate number. Add your CAC certificate number. The number on your CAC certificate. If you don't have that, add NIN or BVN. The first line add the date of incorporation that is written on your CAC certificate or add your date of birth you added on your registration form when you registered your company..
