Probably because the shojo romance as well as magical girl genres are dead due to the lack of success they had in America. and the rest of the English speaking world. It's sad really. Don't get me wrong I love shonen battle shows like the My Hero Academias, the Demon Slavers' and the Jujutsu Kaizens it's just sadly there's not a strong enough market for these kinds of shows in The English speaking world so we don't get new shows like this. A lot of people blame the heavy censorship or Americanization of these kinds of shows like what happened to Sailor Moon and Tokyo Mew Mew originally and that true to degree. It's just I don't think you could prpperly translate shojo. I was severly disappointed with the redub of Sailor Moon. Don't get me wrong it was a lot better than the DiC version but I was still let down. It sounded so off. I don't think Shojo really works in English even if the dubbing is properly translated. Shojo just always sounds so bad in English.
Easy if you're a girl, as a guy who's voice is naturally bassy as hell, this is painfully difficult, especially on the higher notes, it's just a struggle to even try. xD

Usually tsundere characters are violent and annoying, but I felt like Misaki is better written than most. Her back-and-forth with Usui is hilarious and feels natural :) just one reason why I love this show
Look at this, and then compare it to real life relation ships. I just can't imagine those occasions happening to anyone irl, and if that's possible. I would be the happiest man alive, and love this Anime to the bottom of my heart, great memories, and changed my it perspective towards 'love'.
I miss this anime and the only way this will ever come back is with a reboot without the Maid Cafe because apparently haters say it’s “sexist” but without the maid cafe the Anime is no longer the same 😞.
There's literally no one hating about the maid cafe except few western fans. The REAL issue is the non-consentual stuff that makes up more that half the main couple's interactions and Misaki's lack of reasoning for being tsundere
Its been probably a year and a half since I watched this anime and hearing this OP just hit me right in the feels (T~T) This was my first Romantic Anime I watched and its still my favorite... Usui melts my heart into dark, rich, velvety, smooth, liquid gold chocolate. With extra cocoa.
CMBAPsychopath I'm into romance too, It's hard to find something "new" to watch now. There is no some real romance till the end (tsundere thing). Usui solves all problems, he's like a god, he can do everything perfectly. That sucks.

Season 2 starts at about chapter 43 in the Manga for anyone who wants to go to the Manga. But um....take note the end of the Anime is chapter 32, the order is totally screwed up and you'll want to just read the Manga from the start anyway.
I actually just finished the Manga now and I'm both sad and happy. Sad cus it ended but I'm happy cus the ending is great (The whole series is great but you know what I mean, just the ending, I would LOVE to see it animated though.)

I'm currently 16 I watched this anime when I was like 10-11 and up until now I'm still inlove with Usui and Misaki, I'm currently reading the manga and everytime I feel sad I rewatch this anime every year and the nostalgia just don't fade away, I really miss this kind of anime like you'll get the kissing scene on the last episode and they won't even show it on the screen, but you'll still watch and feel giddy and butterflies on your stomach. I'm currently stressed with school and all the competition and fake people around me and I just want to breathe it feels suffocating in school, but I'm doing really great with my grades compared to all those years the competition makes me fired up but it's just that the people around me are not genuine and I just realized this last week , for some reason I was not surprised I think its because I saw it coming, I'm kind of rambling right now no one probably wants to read this lengthy comment but I'm just sharing this, I hope all of you are having a great day!!! And oh lastly I remember there was a particular scene in Kaichou wa maid-sama, remember when sakura likes the vocalist from the band and he was so mean to her, I still remember that Misaki patted her hair and Sakura said the next time she will like someone she will choose someone who would pat her hair like that and Misaki remembered Usui doing that to her a lot of times!!!! Just reminding you that you are special and never stoop low you are worth it!!!!!

Este animé lo vi cuando tenía 14 años y sinceramente me encantó sin embargo lo vuelvo a ver hace unos meses y me doy cuenta lo bien construido que está a pesar de ser un Shoujo ya que estos caen en los clichés o estereotipos sin embargo la personaje principal está en plena construcción y como ella avanza en su vida escolar y superándose a si misma haciendo un personaje Femenino tan bien hecho y autopoderado que incluso animes actuales carecen de este tipo de personajes femeninos es cierto que Usui llega a su vida y parece que será el tipo por el cual ella cambia su forma de ser, si quizás si pero Usui no se vuelve un objetivo en su vida, Usui se vuelve un complemento para ella donde ambos pueden ir creciendo y ayudándose mutuamente, sinceramente es un anime muy avanzado para su época había de todo romances entre chicos, un chico que se identificaba como Mujer, de verdad creo que es uno de los mejores Shoujos y que a pesar de que ya ha pasado tiempo no ha envejecido nada :) uno de mis favoritos y su opening y endings unas verdaderas joyas

Usually tsundere characters are violent and annoying, but I felt like Misaki is better written than most. Her back-and-forth with Usui is hilarious and feels natural :)

Its been probably a year and a half since I watched this anime and hearing this OP just hit me right in the feels (T~T) This was my first Romantic Anime I watched and its still my favorite... Usui melts my heart into dark, rich, velvety, smooth, liquid gold chocolate. With extra cocoa.
One good romance, but not the best my friend, go and try Toradora, or Clannad (to keep it short :3)

Season 2 starts at about chapter 43 in the Manga for anyone who wants to go to the Manga.
But um....take note the end of the Anime is chapter 32, the order is totally screwed up and you'll want to just read the Manga from the start anyway.
I actually just finished the Manga now and I'm both sad and happy.
Sad cus it ended but I'm happy cus the ending is great (The whole series is great but you know what I mean, just the ending, I would LOVE to see it animated though.)

Hello! I'm currently 16 I watched this anime when I was like 10-11 and up until now I'm still inlove with Usui and Misaki, I'm currently reading the manga and everytime I feel sad I rewatch this anime every year and the nostalgia just don't fade away, I really miss this kind of anime like you'll get the kissing scene on the last episode and they won't even show it on the screen, but you'll still watch and feel giddy and butterflies on your stomach.
I'm currently stressed with school and all the competition and fake people around me and I just want to breathe it feels suffocating in school, but I'm doing really great with my grades compared to all those years the competition makes me fired up but it's just that the people around me are not genuine and I just realized this last week , for some reason I was not surprised I think its because I saw it coming, I'm kind of rambling right now no one probably wants to read this lengthy comment but I'm just sharing this, I hope all of you are having a great day!!!
And oh lastly I remember there was a particular scene in Kaichou wa maid-sama, remember when sakura likes the vocalist from the band and he was so mean to her, I still remember that Misaki patted her hair and Sakura said the next time she will like someone she will choose someone who would pat her hair like that and Misaki remembered Usui doing that to her a lot of times!!!! Just reminding you that you are special and never stoop low you are worth it!!!!!

El argumento y su desarrollo son pobres. ¿Alguien esta en problemas? oh solo llamenle al "todologo" Usui, experto en karate, judo, cocinero, bailarin, atleta, genio, fisico-matematico, seductor, guapo etc. No he visto otro personaje tan ridiculamente perfecto, no hay ningun reto. Misaki digamos que cumple, es una tsundere promedio pero al menos desarrollan un poco su personaje. Para ser un shoujo me transmitió mas bien pocos sentimientos.

Pues yo veo de todos los generos, solo me interesa que tenga algo de romance. Sera reconocido fuera de japon, allá no tuvo mucho exito. Ni siquiera lo veo como shoujo, sino como un simple rom-com (comedia-romance) hay poca profundidad en la historia y desarrollo de personajes, poco drama y mas comedia.

Este animé lo vi cuando tenía 14 años y sinceramente me encantó sin embargo lo vuelvo a ver hace unos meses y me doy cuenta lo bien construido que está a pesar de ser un Shoujo ya que estos caen en los clichés o estereotipos sin embargo la personaje principal está en plena construcción y como ella avanza en su vida escolar y superándose a si misma haciendo un personaje Femenino tan bien hecho y autopoderado que incluso animes actuales carecen de este tipo de personajes femeninos es cierto que Usui llega a su vida y parece que será el tipo por el cual ella cambia su forma de ser, si quizás si pero Usui no se vuelve un objetivo en su vida, Usui se vuelve un complemento para ella donde ambos pueden ir creciendo y ayudándose mutuamente, sinceramente es un anime muy avanzado para su época había de todo romances entre chicos, un chico que se identificaba como Mujer, de verdad creo que es uno de los mejores Shoujos y que a pesar de que ya ha pasado tiempo no ha envejecido nada :) uno de mis favoritos y su opening y endings unas verdaderas joyas
