THANK YOU! @Eurosport Cycling for the brilliant highlights of the Tour De France! Whatched every one of them with great delight! Thanks for bringing TDF so close to cycling fans!!!
Loved every minute of it, some great rivalries. Expect visma to bounce back hard next year, but Pogacar absolutely bossed it this time, as he did in the Giro too.
Imagine if he goes for the Vuelta? I mean why not? His form is better than ever! Obviously Will be draining but a shot at all 3 in 1 year? Thats surely a record 😮
Tadej has the Mamba mentality. He is a freaking monster. Jonas has the heart of a champion and Remco is a dog and is going to do nothing but get better. Plus Bini! What a TDF!
Matteo Jorgenson first ever with Visma placing 8th was remarkable! Came close of winning a stage too. Congrats to all the winners! Next year will be great again.
@@cyrilkelvinschlummer3134 I hope that will be the case as Vingegaard is likeable. He probably needs to rise to a level higher than even his best in the previous years to be a true threat next year. He won the tour by over 2min and 7min in 2002 and 2003, respectively. Pogacar not only crawled back the time differences, which we could argue on back of a recovering Vingegaard, but also led by over 6min this year. The swing is so big that it appears beyond an explanation by the recent injury of Vingegaard. And also tellingly is the lead by the superstars over “the rest”, which can be a more stable benchmark: a significant bigger time gap between #1 and #4 in 2024 (19min) than the previous few years (6-12min). Yes, the routes were different and the weather as well. But again, the gap is so big that it seems like Pogacar kicked into an upper gear this year. He was noticeably more muscular this year, and repeatedly showed ease at the last km or so in multiple mountain stages. No disrespect for Vingegaard and not a “fan” of Pogacar, just trying to point out that the latter upped another level this year and so far no one is at that level, probably not even a 2023 Vingegaard. Curious what training/ diet management etc. he went through and hoping Vingegaard could have a similar transformation next year.
Pogacar won by over 6min this year, which is a big swing from losing 7min in 2023. And also tellingly is the gap between the superstars and the rest, which should be a more stable benchmark across different years. Pogacar led the 4th player by 19min in 2024, much larger than 5-12min gap in the past few years including those that he was also a champion. Of course the routes were different and so was the weather but he still seems to have moved up a level this year. He looked more muscular this year and showed ease towards the end in multiple stages. Huge respect to Vingegaard but he probably needs to kicked into a higher gear than even before his crash to be a real threat next year.
