I understand you .. it is completely a person's choice of living their life ..in short , if teachers dress in sarees or suits , it will encourage our indian culture more . Its very important that students know about indian culture from their teachers from childhood and learn, respect and follow it 🌸
In kerala many unaided cbse schools insist teachers on wearing sari which I believe is the most uncomfortable ridiculous sexy and insecure dress for a woman. I m a teacher. Today my colleague telephoned me and told that I should wear sari tomorrow for the open house. I was irritated with this. She told that it is the traditional dress for teachers. I m sad that most teachers believe so especially malayali principals. But these principals don't instruct Male teachers. They are free to wear modern outfits. Only women are under rules and regulations. Only their bodies have many problems. What a dirty kind of thinking?
Its feels nice to see a channel dedicated to educators/teachers and deals with their issues and problems. I too feel that every teacher has a right to wear whatever she is comfortable in ,to the school. This whole idea of children getting corrupted by seeing teachers in jeans is highly flawed and patriarchal as in it puts the blame on the victim and not on perpetrators . I hope schools and their heads understand this
Then why do children have too have a dress code?! Why can’t we study comfortably rather then sitting there in cheap quality uniforms that always Tear in a few months and the tactic schools use too make children buy uniforms should be illegal.
M PGT chemistry teacher and I usually like to wear formal pant and shirts in my school Because I feel comfortable with this and till now I didn't hear any kind of words against this from manegement or from parents side.😊

That's quite enriching to hear from an educator. In these modern days when we are discussing about women empowerment, feminism etc. some people have still a mindset of 'old school' . Let's move ahead ma'am with your progressive thought process. salute to you.
I believe it is important to have some sort of dress code for the teacher because some teachers have very bad dressing sense. For instance, one of the teachers in my kids school used to come to school in a party wear most of the time and with heavy make- up. Moreover, she was also not an efficient teacher.

Comfortable sure yet not to allow students or co staffs to get a different alert! If students have a dress code for a reason even air hostess had conservative codes.. why not teachers for the good reason!!!
I’m a daughter of a lecturer and my mother has wore saree for 13+ years. I’m going to be a lecturer now and I’d also prefer saree over anything.Yes there is dress code in her institute and many don’t like the idea. The idea of dress code was proposed because students these days are really disrespectful toward their female teachers/lecturers. Let’s just be honest, kids these days are way forward with technology and tbh teachers are scared of them.Some students clicked pictures of a lecturer and made fun of her in WhatsApp group also circulated it. It mentally effected the teacher and decreased her confidence and she became so conscious about her outfits. Now everyone will say the authorities should have done something, yes they did.. they took action and strictly told that serious actions would be taken against them. I respect what you said mam, but the dress codes haven’t been made just for fun. Hope you understand the reason.
You don't know how teachers dress shoul be, what you will teach to children? You have lack of knowledge about what is the relation between teachers dress code and education.
Maybe they are just young beginner teachers who worried and want to give the best impression As a young teacher I went through that struggle too I usually dress myself casually but now that i am about to become a teacher i felt the need to pay more attention and consideration to my clothes The more simple & comfy and respectful you dress the better I still wear my jeans and sneakers but with long waisted rather large t-shirts.
In Sweden Teachers can wear whatever they want. Like shorts and a t-shirt on a hot spring day.
Its totally unacceptable in Indian schools
