Yes I love collards..Mine came up without planting this year and they are flowering. Because of watching your videos, I know how to harvest the seeds!..I planted cabbage, potatoes, peppers, onions, garlic, and carrots all in containers. So far they are growing well.
Kudos to you sister! Learnt a lot from you and now I've an idea of what I can cultivate! There's a sense of fulfillment in planting, nurturing, harvesting and cooking from start to finish with the labour of your own hands! It is well and can only get better because Jehovah remains forever faithful! Shalom!
Hi Sylvia! I just found your Channel today. I would love to grow scent leaves. I was wondering about them just a couple of days ago. I am American and I have never tasted scent leaves before. But I have been watching a Nigerian vlogger( Sisi Yemi) for several years. I've seen her use scent leaves in her cooking many times. And I always wondered what they taste like. I was even thinking about it a couple of days ago. I can tell by the way she seasons her food that I would enjoy it. I am currently growing okra, habanero, bell peppers, poblano peppers, and several other pepper varieties. I'm also growing strawberries, oregano basil, thyme, cilantro, lemon balm, onions, watermelon and cantaloupe. I grew some pak choi and kale. Oh and tomatoes. A different varieties. The majority of the plants that I listed it's my first time growing them. Last year was my first time gardening. We only grew tomatoes, bell peppers, and habanero peppers. I wanted to get some Scotch bonnet seeds but couldn't find them when I was looking for them. Oh, also I plan to plant Sorrel/Roselle.
Hi Kie. You’ve grown a lot of food in your garden. Way to go, Kie!!!! 👏. Great job!!! 👏 I use scent leaves too in a lot of my recipes. It’s very flavorful. I’ll mail you some seeds to plant. It’s very easy to grow. Please message me with Sylviaenefioksandy@gmail.com.
I subscribed to your channel some time ago. I’m glad I did. 💕My favorite plant to grow is garlic. I plant them in Oct/Nov and harvest in July. I’m able to harvest some leaves for cooking. The garlics develop corms, on the bulb. The corms take two years but eventually grow into garlic. A tight bundle grows on top and it’s full of seeds. One garlic bulb makes 6 plants, the 6 can make 36. I had so much garlic I didn’t plant any but I forgot about the corms in the soil. Garlic popped up 🧄 again, if you like seeds and plants that return you will enjoy growing garlic too.
