- As we inch closer to the mid-season finale of Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4, there's a lot to look forward to. Tariq St Patrick is going to go on a journey of self-discovery, which I believe will be the hallucination scene at Club Truth, hence the title of Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4 Episode 5 'Ego Death'. So in this breakdown, I run through what I believe they mean by Ego Death and what it means for Tariq's journey and his identity going forward in Power Ghost Season 4 going forward. I also run through the plots and storylines surrounding Tariq and Diana's baby, Tariq and Brayden's operation, the complications of Noma finding out, Detective Carter having a hidden agenda and where he could end up being the real big bad of Power Book 2 Ghost. I also run through where we are going into Episode 5 with The Tejada's after Monet chose the path of forgiveness in Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4.

Technically, he is. Tariq getting involved with the Tejadas was their own downfall. To actually take blame for their downfall it’s primarily Monet for the life she dragged them into and then her trusting in Tariq.
It was Monet that led us to believe it was Lorenzo that forced their kids into the game, but the flashbacks confimed it was her the whole time.

Monet doing all that “character development” and thinking on what and how she went wrong with her kids, yet still finding a way to blame to Tariq for everything she did to her family just proves she hasn’t grown at all. She only changed how she acted and started “caring” once she got a conversation that changed her perspective. But she literally undoes all of that by blaming Tariq for her family falling apart. I don’t necessarily blame her though because she still thinks Tariq shot her. Diana kept trying to say someone else messed up the plan but Monet wouldn’t hear it. Cane and Tariq might be at each others necks this episode and it could set the tone for the series finale. I know yall remember how hot Cane was when he first thought Tariq did it😂

My 1st guess is carter was ghost's brother. Remember ghost refuse to ever talk about his brother. Which would explain how he knows paz valdes, since they all from same neighborhood. So basically carter n ghost stay out of each other lives for whatever reason. Both are opposite side of law yet possess same traits. Only reason carter is into the scene now is obviously somehow the murder of his wife Denise is connected to riq. The question is, who,when or how was Denise murder. At the end of the day, since riq killed ghost, he will have have no problem killing his own uncle lol😂

Everyone sees Cane as a jealous guy, he was raised as a muscle his whole life naturally he believes he should be the next in line to take over. But when Lorenzo wanted to pass the torch down to Dru, it was always going to create some sort of conflict between the brothers. Cane feels as if it’s his destiny to take over. Dru feels as if it’s his, yet is extremely conflicted. What he told monet in the motel seems like he wants out, but in E3 he wanted Obis position. Another thing Cane mentioned is that he doesn’t have a way out, while Dru & Diana do. Even Zeke had a way out and he was not in the game. He’s the big bro so Lorenzo lying to him only made things worse. It only got worse after Tariq came by with Monet treating him in the way he wanted. Not only that, but Tariq has a mother who wants to keep him safe and away from the drug game after realising the damage it causes. Monet wants him as a solider & personal killer and he doesn’t have a normal mother.I think that’s another reason as to why Cane as Moviebot said decides to drift more closer to those who give him a sense of belonging. Deep down he hates the game and he’s broken because he hasn’t been raised normally. In addition to not being raised normally, just before Cane killed Ramirez he was flexing the fact that Monet needed him and that if he killed cane she wouldn’t care as he was seen as a liability at the time. We saw what lengths Monet went to avenge both Zeke & Dru but she was willing to let a random cop like Ramirez kill her son who is willing to do anything in the world for her. Cane is broken deep down and I do believe he will go against Monet’s orders and kill Dru at some point in S4 because Cane may be a reckless fuck up at times but he has never done anything that severe to be treated the way he was treated in season 1. Dru literally tried to take Monet’s life and she’s willing to let him live, it won’t sit well with Cane.
Yes I used to hate that Monet and Lorenzo always treats cane different from Diana and dru he only wants them to acknowledge cane and trust him.

When it comes to the passage of time in the Power Universe, it can be pretty confusing. Maybe depending on how far along she is, she can count back and came to the conclusion that Tariq’s the father. Nobody really knows how much time passed between her sleeping with Salim and then Tariq. Maybe her and Salim used protection but the last time her and Tariq slept together, they didn’t because it was a “in the moment” type of thing.

There has been a lot of signs that someone is watching Tariq from the shadows…all the way back to season 2 after the Jabari murders someone was feeding Kamal tate the story about 2 shooters..and now someone that ties him to monets shooting…if Carter is working for an organization it could potentially be ghosts..they never did tell us who the cop was that he used to set Kanan up…the timeline would work out to put Carter in uniform patrol or as a detective around the time Kanan got popped and sent to prison

Having Diana has Riq’s baby father is what she’s wanted all along. I think a baby was ever in the picture but she’s wanted him since season 1, but Riq never wanted her that way because they worked together. Effie will be punching the air when she finds out. She warned Diana but Diana low key loves Riq and got what she wanted.

Tariq has learned from Kanan, studied Ghost, was shown protection by Tasha, learned consequences from Tommy, interacted with a snake in Dre. Riq IQ level in the game is definitely up there and I think we are going to see just how much of Ghost he actually is

Maybe Tariq has been working in secret with someone to get Club Truth back and when he gets it, he uses it as a front and starts wearing suits like Ghost and Braden starts hosting parties at Truth and they move their drugs through there. Tariq being in Truth will probably be a cliffhanger til the next part of season 4 and some time will pass and him and Braden will have a lot of success moving their drugs through the parties that they have a the club. Just a thought
