Poses a minor threat in trade and progression of our north eastern borders but I don't think it will reach SA if it does we have the capabilities( not the best ) to beat this threat . Any thoughts I'd like to hear.

@@notpc1630 let me help you here.
I have personally dealt with two very large producers of Halal produce in the Middle East and it is highly unlikely that they have any interest or even less desire to sponsor Jihadists as it would simply not be in their interest to do so.
They both need a stable markets to operate in, they are business minded people.
In Mozambique we all know that most of the Concessions to extract LNG were awarded to French energy giant Total.
If one goes back 3 years one will note that Anadarko was displaced in favour of Total.
One thing that we must all be mindful of is that we should not interfere in the business interests that will affect America....., especially when they are as collosal as the size and scope of the Liquified Natural Gas deposits in Mozambique.
      Here is one more angle,
Lockheed Martin has 110 000 employees, try and meet payroll obligations for all of those people each and every month.
We also have KBR, Halliburtob, Raytheon, Boeing Aerospace, Northrop Grumman, Honeywell, Booz Allen Hamilton, General Dynamics and BaE Systems.
Now I think it is clearer why Jihad has to be funded and who needs to ensure that they are adequately resourced?
Of course I might be wrong?
I have to go now, time to look for WMD and also to Fight the next War on Terror.

Perhaps this is the first step for ISIS to set up a new homeland by taking over Mozambique? Mozambique does not have the capacity to stop this everyone else who has the capacity (we in SA don't) don't want to get involved. So perhaps it is a strong likelihood. This could cause refugees to stream into SA, pushing our already strained resources over the edge and leading to xenophobia which then leads to mayhem. I hope it doesn't happen, but I am not too sure. Let us hear the opinions.

When ISIS activates through various allegiances all the way down in Mozambique, SA is not that far. They exploit well local problems that remain unresolved, establish themselves in weak spots first, then attack the strong areas. It is imperative to address local issues before these allegiances, and prevent any foreign infiltration with a very strong intervention. It is clear that help came from outside and the locals who invited them will be the next victims as they will lose total control. Study the case of Mali.

I doubt there is any worries about such terrorists coming to SA. You have to first ask why Mozambique? Answer - The second largest natural gas reserves in the world. These terrorists are there because they are funded by someone who wants those Natural Gas reserves. These terrorists could wipe out the useless Zim army in half a day to occupy Zim, but yet they have no interest in doing so, telling us that Northern part of Mozambique is the only thing of concern to these terrorists.

I don't think South Africa is under this sort of threat. The majority of South Africans tolerate each other, religiously. There's no such thing as fundamental believers, who are extreme in enforcing their religion. I think any foreigner living in south africa, is smart enough not to try anything in our soils, because they know that native South Africans are more than capable to clear out any hostile personal that might seek to start such trends. Without involving the police or military, citizens oSouth Africa can defend themselves against terrorist threats effectively. Especially in KZN. The social structures of Zulu people and hostels are structured and united enough to recruit willing man to defend the country in a moments notice
