He is P.C. Manuk not Manak, Patna Kalam is NOT the beginning of Company Art. You find Company period art in Thanjavur in the early 18th century. There are many iterations of this school. The South Indian schools of Company art developed in a fashion quite distinct from the North Indian school. Also Company school's most important quality is that it imitated the European use of perspective, even if in many instances this was not used in an accurate fashion. This is not the same as 'pardaz.'
An extremely disappointing lecture.
