You can't remove yourself from certain circumstances, so habits are subjective. For example, if you live in a shared accommodation with your parents who annoy you, being constantly noisy on the phone, playing RUclips videos on loudspeaker without earphones, a Cluttered household due to parents hoarding addiction and an untrained pet dog that barks 24/7 and distracts you from working etc, and you feel compelled to go outside and smoke a cigarette, then only removing yourself financially into a situation where you have peace (ie: being able to afford your OWN quiet peaceful accommodation in London), can remove the queues that lead you to smoke or other negative things like substance misuse as a result from the stress of disruption and frustration. The solution of funding the income/finances to move out is not an overnight thing. So willpower doesn't always work because heightened emotions will always give in. We are only human, and we're Susceptible to find escapes from uncomfortable feelings. It's easier said than done. These videos present solutions but they're not always practical.
Just wanna say that. I found you a few years ago and you were one of the single motivator personnel on RUclips who helped me make big changes and create a lifestyle where I can balance college, work, future business, stock market trading and learning various things I find interesting. My life has really changed and a big chunk of it comes from the RUclips video. therefore I sincerely thank you for your content and through research on these topics.
I need to use different rewards to break my masturbation addiction. I believe drinking tea every morning I avoid masturbating will work as a reward. I just have to notice the trigger and just distract myself by watching TV.
How to have eternal Life 1. Believe that you have sinned (done wrong) and that Jesus can save you. "All have sinned and have fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23. 2. Ask Jesus to forgive you and make your heart clean. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" 1 John 1:9 3. Tell Jesus that you want him to be Lord of your life (that you will serve him). "If you declare that Jesus is lord, and believe that God brought him back to life, you will be saved" Romans 10:9. 4. Trust Jesus to set you free from wanting to sin and to give you a new life that will never end. "Now you have been freed from sin and have become God’s slaves. This results in a holy life and, finally, in everlasting life" Romans 6:22
