I just saw the movie he was starring in "I'll Be Watching You", and just wanted to check out the cast which led me here. I was NOT expecting 4:48... Sooo, funny! Great actor and has such an awesome family. Not everyone has that. You are blessed.
@@richardmayora1289 No, the singer should keep the lyrics as they were originally written. When an actor reads an audiobook, he does not change the pronouns to suit his personal situation. When college and high-school students perform stage plays they do not change the gender of the characters to suit the actors who available for the roles. Art should not be changed on the whim of anyone.
@@MattFrame It is a time honored tradition to change pronouns. Period. If a woman sings a song written for Sinatra and uses the pronoun '"she", she is making the audience think she is a lesbian which is likely not the intent of the author. And if she is not a lesbian, she may not connect to the song. I was listening to Judy Garland this morning singing "As Long As He Needs Me" and the pop version was actually sung by a man who ..guess what...changed genders. This has ALWAYS been an expected alteration in a lyric and has been done by ALL of the greats. No exception. You are being beyond rigid You sound utterly foolish.
@@richardmayora1289 I'm sorry that you are so weak and stupid that you believe changing pronouns will save a person's sexual-orientation reputation. What a tool, LOL. I see what I'm dealing with here, and you're just not worth it.
@@MattFrame All projection. It must be hard to function being so tight assed. I have had a CAREER as an advocate in the LGBT community genius and if you did not have such juvenile black and white thinking, you would understand that I said nothing pejorative about being gay, simply that a listener would be misled. I guess you know more than Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Streisand and just about every great singer who has performed a song written for the opposite gender...and changed the pronoun. You are beyond stupid.

Jonah Platt is amazing, Ben Platt is amazing, so why is there no video of them singing together?
There's a Ben and Henry video.
Actually, here's the whole Platt family (minus Jonah) singing at Jonah and Courtney Galiano's wedding)

There is a video of the 3 brothers singing a Hebrew song on the balcony of someone's apartment. Very good.
There is a video of both of us singing together too 😊
Does he remind anyone else of Aaron Tveit?
Sascha Houpt OMG YES! I would also say a dash of Jonathan Groff as well :)
Aww Ben was so adorable 😂
Good job, Jonah! I generally don't like jazzed-up versions of show songs but this one was OK!
He really made me cry... Too beautiful.

I hate when singers change the pronouns in a song.
Why? It should make gender/orientation sense.
