Hello JB Man-cave, thank you for this amazing video about unique Cascade. I was born in Port of Spain in 1945. We, mother, father, two sisters and a younger brother lived in Cascade. Up the earthen steps at the end of Strathclyde Avenue. My name is Sherwin Scott, sisters are Marcia and Vanda, younger brother Fred. Father, Eustace and mother Erlene. Parents were born in Barbados. Their children were born in Port of Spain. We went to a primary school in St. Anns and then to Tranquility Boys and Girls school. We lived in Cascade from approximately 1944 to 1960. Then moved to England where we now live. Parents are no longer alive. I lived in Barbados for a short period with an older brother and his family. There were very few cars around at the time we lived in Cascade. We could not afford a car. So to get to Tranquility Schools, we had to walk down Strathclyde Avenue, down Cascade Road, down Coblentz Avenue, across the Savannah to Victoria Road where the two schools were located. Then walk the same journey back home. We just took it in our stride ! I have enjoyed living in Cascade. Your video enabled me to see places that I have never visited when I lived in this beautiful district of Trinidad and Tobago. We attended the Hanover Methodist Church in Frederick Street, 1:45:40 Port of Spain. We used to shop at the Hilo Supermarket on Cascade Road. It was replaced by Masseys.

Is this supposed to be an oil rich Country?
Jean, care to elaborate?
@@JBsManCave I am just curious!
About?
@@JBsManCave Since you insist,i will reveal my ignorance and curiosity about this Country,Trinidad & Tobago. Please, don `t take it personal, maybe , you can help me understand things.I was told that gas and oil were discovered and are being exploited in Trinidad & Tobago.
Through You Tube ,i was able to see and hear the transformations brought by the discovering of oil and gas in the Golf States such Oman, Qatar, Arabia Saudi ...people are enjoying a prosperous and a good life there.
It does not seem to me that this is the case too in Trinidad & Tobago.Where are the infrastructures to support such a claim?
Jean, it comes down to one thing: "corruption". However, I was trying to understand what you took from my video on Cascade to ask this question.

Yes, and like I say in most of my videos it is all being taken over by concrete. However, Cascade is one of the few places where they STILL ensure there is lots of green around.
Many walls...gosh
Yes, that was a big shock for me too... crime.
