I heard somewhere when you are feeling overwhelmed start somewhere and the rest will follow. You’ve done a commendable job of letting go of things that do not serve a purpose and not only gaining back space in your home but clearing mental space. It’s wonderful to know there is a place for everything and everything has a place. Keep it up!
Hi Tina, I’ve been watching you for the past 3-4 years I think. I love your videos. I am a craft supply hoarder! Especially dies! I’m trying to slowly starting to give them away, then I turned around yesterday and bought about 20. I knew better but I couldn’t stop myself. My reasoning is get rid of a lot and then buy a lot. Hopefully, I can stop buying! Speaking of cats, I have one totally spoiled cat. He’s solid white and his name is Buttons. I love him dearly!
@@lisascraftsandthings aww thank you so much! I agree, it's really hard to stop buying when you see so many beautiful/cute things. But how much I've had to destash has been eye-opening because I just buy things and don't use them. It's really such a waste of time and energy and money. I'm looking forward to playing with the things that I truly love. And Hi Buttons ❤️
Thank you for the video and haul I started making cards for my co-workers during the pandemic to stay in touch and my stash has gotten out of control lol I have been donating cards to different organizations did my first swap at Halloween and want to do more but I am new at swaps and still learning
Cute haul :) A lot of what you said resonates with me as well. I’ve also been scaling back my buying, really only looking to buy second hand, supporting small businesses, and buying things that I need or I will use immediately. I don’t want to get political but I also have been trying to be conscious about where my money goes. It does get overwhelming when so much stuff accumulates. I feel like I can’t even focus unless I know where I can see or find what I need. I’m pretty sure most people watch your videos for inspiration so I hope that stays the case for you 💖
Love this video, Tina! I’ve been in a similar mode with my space and have felt so much better after a good purge. Wishing you an amazing year, with the shift in your channel, more project shares and the business you’re launching! 💖
I’m totally on board with buying less! I have stopped buying multiples unless it’s an absolute favorite. I think you have to build a stash and see what you use and what you don’t before you can make a change. Luckily we have small dollar items. I recently had the realization that I am a paper collector. I’ve accepted that and am organizing and selectively buying paper now. I’ll be using past collections too for projects and I hope it doesn’t disappoint 🤞. All in all this is meant to bring us all joy and happiness. I know your sequin business will be a success! The last video you made had beautiful colors and so sparkly on camera ❤. I am looking forward to the changes in 2025. I think we are all a bit overwhelmed by the manufacturers and all of their new releases 🤦♀️….it’s just too much. Here’s to less stuff in 2025 🎉!!!!
@@RaleighGirl agreed! It's definitely hard when you see so many beautiful things and you just want all of it. But over the years I've noticed that I buy things and don't even play with them at all, or maybe once. And then it just sits on my shelf for years. And that's not what this hobby is intended for. It's intended to create with the things that we're buying. And for so long I've been doing the opposite. Hopefully this year brings way more projects and less new things into my house lol
I feel ya! I stopped buying as much each year! The year i added every single receipt of my crafty stuff for the year💀it was eye opening. The next year i cut my spending in half! And its continuously gone down each year🎉 you got this❤
@@Craftpurge Yes, it's just crazy how much I've destashed over the last few weeks and most of it was things that were brand new, never used, never touched. It's just such a waste of time and energy and money to buy it and then bring it home and then it just sits here. I just want to keep what I really love and play with it and get the most enjoyment out of it because that's really what this hobby is all about. ❤️
Cute finds and thanks for the organization update!! My husband built my craft room and he always tells me that I’m busting out the seams and he’s right. I’m in the same position as you .. cat keep up with the new bought items on the floor!! Tsmfs friend! 🩷
@@CraftyReneeCreates yep, definitely bene there. My craft room & garage were insanely full. I'm so glad I destashed a lot and have been keeping only what I love. Would love to see your craft room sometime 😊
