As usual it will be used against CIVILIANS / Passanger buses / Ukraine's deserting troops. Half the reason Ukraine failed moat of the equipment sent even in the heaviest fighting was used against civilians as terror attacks. When these UkroNazi drone operators are caught its unlikely most will survive given the amount of War Crimes they have committed.

German, 60. Helsing works in Munich for Airbus in the defence sector and has been officially supporting Ukrainian drone production with AI on site since the beginning of 2024. The delivery of 4,000 drones does not relate to the HX-2 Karma, deliveries of which are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2025, but to the HF-1 type, the dates of which are unknown.
The HX-2 Karma is one of the Western weapons systems whose development was significantly influenced by the experiences of the war in Ukraine and which can also be deployed on a large scale because it is not a large military device. I don't want to pre-empt possible developments here, but the Ukrainian army has virtually chosen what it is getting now on the basis of its own development work, front-line experience and tests.
And I think they are currently the undisputed experts in modern drone warfare

The result of my research may contain errors.
The HF-1 is a Ukrainian drone/replica(?), which is supposed to be comparable to the US-American AQ 100 Bayonet, except that the software of the Helsing company is used. The financing is being provided by the federal government of Germany. Production began in December and several hundred are to be produced each month. The weapon is said to be significantly cheaper than comparable systems such as the Switchblade from the USA or the Lancet from Russia. According to Western estimates, a Lancet drone will cost between 20,000 and 30,000 euros.
The HX-2 Karma, on the other hand, is produced exclusively in Germany and the costs are likely to be significantly higher than 20,000 or 30,000 euros, as carbon fibre is one of the materials used.
Website of the US manufacturer of the AQ 100 Bayonet(quote):
‘The Bayonet was developed by Terminal Autonomy to provide an affordable lunger-like munition or platform for artillery spotters, given the short lifespan of ISR drones or stuck munitions on the battlefield. Capable of carrying a variety of cameras, sensors and kinetic munitions.
Constructed of a lightweight and durable wood cell and a detachable wing design that allows for easy transport and storage.
      Made in the USA.
      Function Specifications Metric
      Wing span 1 m
      MTOW 10 kg
      Number 4.5 kg
      Comms range 50 km
      Speed 144 km/h
      Range 150 km’

@@thorH. We'll know more at the beginning of March, because that's when we'll either reorder or not. The Vector drones from the Bavarian company Quantum (and also the drones from Donaustahl), for example, have apparently proved their worth. The Ukrainian military has ordered around 400 of them since 2022 and has now expressed a desire for a further 800.
And as I said at the beginning, the Ukrainians are the experts for drone warfare against Russia, after all😀!

@Wes O'Donnel - Great reporting! One item that is getting swept under the rug a little bit in these drone discussions is that a human operator is not actually needed to engage the target. In fact, on Helsing's website it says "its ability to search for, re-identify, and engage targets, even without a signal or a continuous data connection,". So a lot of the defence firms are saying that a human has to be in the loop to make the final kill decision, but that's not always the case if the signal is lost. Don't get me wrong, I love these new tools and believe this is the future, but I'd prefer the defense firms be a little more upfront with the citizens about the use of AI in the final kill decision. Slava Ukraine.

OK --------- . In the future, a Drone operator will be operating a dozen drones at the same time using a 3-Dee Headset That allows him to just turn his head flying around the field in vertual-reality to over look the battle space his drones are in, pick out a target, looking at it and telling which drone to attack it from what direction as he goes looking for the next target... With at least one drone high out of jamming range but sill in contact with the other drones... using laser communications... In fact, Ai drones would be able to drop bombs with the accuracy of Komakazy drones without destroying the drones themselves... cutting the cost to the war-fighting country... With drones shuttling in and out of the Battlefield on there own without guidance and without the controller having to leave the Battle Space and losing track of the enemy...as new rearmed drones keep arriving as needed... This also gives the Drone pilots the ability to order specific ordinances for the Targets they are attacking... This ability would allow Ukraine to fight the battle from kilometers behind the front line... Allowing the minimum number of troops having to remain on the front... But even then almost invisible small remote Drone Ground Sentrie tanks would be able to replace flesh and blood troops saving lives from Russian 3-ton Glide bombs with kill radius of hundreds of meters even for concrete bunkers and concussion kills for a thousand meters that have killed thousands of Ukraine Troops... and are responsible for most of the Russian Advances over the last year since they have been introduced...

Australia MQ28 Ghost Bat said by every expert in field to be most advanced AI combat drone of it's kind is all you say but is controlled by a keyboard and PC back at a base and can control it 2000 miles away.
Actually AUKUS have now demonstrated controlling fully AI drones from other side of the world.
Australia has fully AI supply trucks, fully AI M113 military vehicles.
AUSTAL Australia shipbuilding company who builds the USA Zumelwalt stealth destroyer has built a AI ship from a decomissioned Australian Armidale class patrol ship.
Australia has 3 fully AI submersible drones..
Some countries are so far behind i nthis it is hilarious..

Wes, a little volume please. When the ad comes through at double your volume it can't be my equipment. Is Precision Mass a new metric? You probably mentioned it, I just need to keep up. From Helsing 2 Dec 2024 Press Release, “NATO urgently requires technology to protect the integrity of the Eastern Flank. At Helsing, we’ve invested to develop this capability and give NATO an edge through precision mass. HX-2 is providing autonomy through software and AI - while retaining full human control and oversight. Electronic warfare had threatened to erode the ability to act, and we are giving this ability back to operators.” Scratched around but saw no more specificity to # of production sites than Europe, operations in Estonia, and Ukraine's Defense Manufacturers Alliance. Likewise no units to date. Seems a couple different consortiums are going full tilt in the space and Helsing is not necessarily the most dollared. Good for Europe. For Russia, you'd think one-eighth of Earth's inhabited land area across eleven time zones would be enough.

Lol EOS has been tracking space objects so small barely visible, for decades. EOS systems are in 1000's of NATO military equipment and is on multiple USA military vehicles.. look at remote weapons and might see is a EOS system. so Slinger uses the Bushmaster gun that is proven in many wars and then it uses EOS for target detection and tracking and is your answer..

I kind of doubt all of that - first, that we are capable of producing a new (and effective) weapon in large numbers at reasonable prices and deploying it to trained Ukrainian operators - let alone that it is AI based, second, IIRC it is completely against German law to develop a weapon that can make the kill decision by itself, which would be necessary if the weapon lost contact with its operator due to jamming. This all sounds a lot like marketing for a system that is far from being ready for mass deployment.

Van Helsingin used these against vampires. BTW, Vampire is a light anti-drone system. But seriously, can AI drone be downed by any EW, or kinetic kill only? MHTK might be cheap, but it's still WAY more than a cheap drone. Aussie Slinger might be cheap, if it works...

Slinger is not perfect but it is the most accurate cannon available at present. Accuracy is vital with small targets such as drones. EOS has a demo video of Slinger. It's pretty easy to operate also. Cost per kill is low too. Limitation is basically range. It's not for long distances or very high altitudes. If I sound like I'm promoting it, yes. I have shares in EOS. What I've said is accurate too.

Id be surprised if there were not deaths from ai drones already. In particular, UA's extreme long range ai drones based on ultralight airplanes targeting oilfields have almost certainly killed someone. Smaller ai drones zooming around likely have, too. Confirming that might be another matter.
